Mark (owner) diagnosed our cat’s urinary problems when 2 different vets could offer no help or useful advice. He met with us and reviewed our cat’s diet/habits/etc without needing us to bring our cat anywhere. He suggested 2 simple additives and a temporary diet. 24 hours later he was a different cat, and no problems again since. The products he suggested weren’t expensive compared to vet bills and prescriptions, and now we’ve moved our cat to a comparatively priced dry food with no afdstives needed. Mark seems like a magician, and he might be. At the least, he’s kind, listens, and hires good staff. Everyone in his stores has been polite and the store is peaceful and simple unlike some pet stores. This is true of other PetStaurant locations too. If you have a special needs pet, or just want to support a good business owner, you should def come here.

People definitely shouldn’t believe everything they read and maybe should ask Marc his version. I’ve been coming to Petstaurant for years, since it only had a Sherman Oaks location. Marc not only helped my friend’s cat who was diagnosed with Cancer three years ago and is still with us today, but he has helped mine immensely with skin issues, a healthy diet and immunity support. He has no issue suggesting a vet’s opinion, if that’s what the situation calls for. He responds to questions via text, does free pet consultations, and has a strong assortment of food and products. I would hate to see people miss out based on hearsay.

The previous reviewer Karrie shouldn’t believe everything she reads, and if her pet needs assistance she’s really going to be missing out. Too bad she didn’t trust herself and the feeling she had which she says was a positive one. Instead she’s let a smear campaign and fear tactics replace her own intuition. Seems to be happening a lot lately...This store and it’s owner are just as wonderful as they seem. I have been a customer for over a year (at the other locations) when mydog who was 14 at the time, (feb 2020) had some kind of stroke or seizure out of the blue. I took him to the vet and they had nothing to offer me but expensive tests they admitted would be unlikely to help. I took him to another vet and he said the testing wouldn’t be worth it due to his age they wouldn’t be able to intervene anyway and that it was most likely his heart. Then a friend referred me to The Petstaurant and Marc recommend a few supplements and my dog is still with me and he is doing incredible!!! Marc truly cares about animals to the point that rather than sell me anything unnecessary, he very slowly started what he thought my dog would need so it didn’t overwhelm his little old man system. He hasn’t had any seizures since, and isn’t taking any medications. He has no side effects from the supplements except better health. I am so grateful!!!He also told me what to feed him if I preferred to cook or try to save money, but it is more convenient for me to purchase his food and its so beautiful and nutritious. I am happy to support this business.I can’t imagine how I would’ve made it through quarantine and 2020 without my little furry son, and I know he wouldn’t still be here right next to me if it weren’t for Marc. He’ll be 16 in August! I am beyond grateful.Everyone should follow their own instincts, but having the option of more holistic natural treatments should be an option for everyone and their pets too. Los Angeles is very lucky to have The Petstaurant.Just like people, western medicine, or natural cures can’t save everyone and every animal forever. We all go when it’s our time, but I highly recommended this business. The food and supplements have greatly improved my pets health and quality of life, so I really don’t care what Google has to say or if the board of veterinary medicine disagrees either.

My pup was having all sorts of ailments like dandruff, hot spots and rashes. Sadly after many blood tests, the vet still couldn’t figure what’s up. I figure it was allergies to certain preservatives and switched his meals. Ever since I noticed my picky pup began to clean his bowl, his coat is shinier, he moves like a young pup again and no more rashes, hot spots or dandruff!! Can’t recommend his place enough.

I shopped at PetStaurant without ever having heard of this place before. On the surface, the store appeared wonderful, health-focused, and thoughtful in its selection of products. Then I Googled the founder Marc Ching and found all sorts of troubling news. In short: he has been charged by the California Department of Public Health and the FTC about false advertising, manufacturing food without a license, selling adulterated food, and most troubling: practicing veterinary medicine without a license. He was recently peddling a cure for COVID, and there is very troubling evidence that he staged animal abuse videos for legitimacy.I then promptly searched online for the shampoo I bought and it doesn't exist only anywhere besides the store's own website. No reviews, no third party proof that this stuff is anything legit. So while the store probably does stock some legitimate brands, I do not trust anything I bought. But don't take my word for it--search Marc Ching and read the LA Times article and judge for yourself. For this store to exist in Silver Lake / Los Feliz, a neighborhood that cares a lot about integrity, it's extremely troubling. Everyone should do their research before choosing to shop here.
