The store is stocked with unique and good quality pet gear you can’t find anywhere else. I was buying dog shoes because the snow and salt is very harsh on my dogs paws in the winter. Sounds simple but figuring out dog shoe sizes turned out to be a very difficult process. Thankfully Rachel and Stephanie were so very helpful! They sent me many pictures and recommendations before I was sure I was buying the correct size for my dog. They also offer international shipping which is great for customers in Canada. The package was packed very well and my dog shoes arrived in perfect condition.Thank you! I will definitely shop here again for pet supplies :)

AMAZING! Staff is helpful and so friendly. This store has now become our destination for everything we need for our cat. We bought an amazing backpack carrier and some unique bison heart treats, we are so amazed at the selection of QUALITY food and treats at this place. Support a small DTLA business, SHOP LOCAL, AND SAY NO TO BIG PET STORES!

I no longer work in downtown, so I don't get to come here as often as I'd like. That being said, I still make the trip for special occasions. Most recently, I went to pick up a new sweater for my dog! He gets very cold, and this place carries stuff from "Charlie's Backyard" who makes my favorite dog fits.They have also great fresh treats that he loves, and the service here is always super kind. They let my dog try the sweaters on, so I know he'll be comfy when we head out the door.

The lady that was there was very knowledgeable. She actually knows about dogs not just someone that has opened a pet business to profit. She has great food that doesn't contain corn. This actually impressed me a lot. Because corn is just a filler ingredient in dog food. Dogs can't digest corn👍👍👍👍👍 Finally there is someone running a pet store that is actually very knowledgeable and knows what they are doing. Awesome store !!!!!! And your dog that greeted me was such a friendly one. You've also done a great job training your dog

Hopefully this shop doesn’t close up bc they have healthier options for food/meals better than the standard pet stores! Had a bad experience with freshpet brand (ones you buy from the supermarket or standard pet stores like petco/petsmart), & finally found a healthier alternative at this boutique!

Wanted to give a great review for Tajah who was incredibly patient and attentive while we tried to find shoes for our 11 lb dachshund and our 115 lb Great Dane. While we were unfortunately unable to find shoes that fit either of them being on the extreme ends of the spectrum, we were very appreciative of the time and effort put into the search. We would definitely recommend anyone looking for pet goods, treats or otherwise to come here.

The only place I️ get my dog food. It’s convenient in DTLA. And they validate for parking in the next door structure for 20min. Also very friendly staff and the points from they rewards program rocks!

Really well-run & well stocked local small business. Support them and get points! Just bought a dog backpack and I’m stoked—very comfy for me and dog. This place is so wholesome. Practical stuff, food, treats, chewies, gifts, and huge selection of dog clothes (They were unpacking some new things just in... little overalls 😭) Highly appreciative of this shop, it’s worth coming into the city for, so I feel lucky i can just walk there!

If your a pet parent then this is the place for you and your pet. This place has everything a pet could want or need and then some and it's all reasonably priced. The staff is fantastic and have a real love of pets and it shows. They only sell the best and healthiest foods for your pet, you won't find any of the food filled with all kinds of corn starches and other fillers that often take years off your pet's life. I can not say enough good things about the Pet Project LA.

This is my regular pet shop. They are small but competitively priced. The dog food I buy costs the same as on Amazon or Jet, so I'd rather give my money to a neighborhood biz. Super helpful, friendly staff. They love the neighborhood animals and give them treats even if we just pop in to say hi!

I’ve been ordering food from pet project la for a couple years now. They always have the highest quality foods for my dog. Even for a smaller shop they stock it with the right things. Also their online ordering has been easy with free local delivery usually same or next day?! You can’t beat it. Thanks pet project la!

The staff is wonderful! This is a locally owned shop that is in the heart of DTLA. They will even order items that you need and keep them in stock if you purchase regularly. I know mail ordering has become popular and I tried that for a time but I am back to just picking up the items and supporting our local businesses.

I was taking care of my friends giant Schnauzer and I needed to get a leash. I wish I remembered her name so I could thank her on this post but the representative in the store was kind, knowledgeable and patient. I got me an awesome leash and some doggie bags and I was on my way out. It was nice of them to have a water bowl outside as well.

This small pet shop in downtown Los Angeles is an excellent hidden gem catering to the local community. I discovered it on Ciclavia while my dog and I were biking up and down the street, and he wanted a snack. The selection of supplies is impeccable and the service is friendly and knowledgable. Alayna was AMAZING. I'll start with that. She sat behind the desk as I poured out what was going on with my cat that needed attention. She sat, patiently and attentively ready to help- she led me to items in the store that would help out our cat.Pet Project has so many options for your dog/cat such as: toys, bedding, foods as well as pet meds in all different forms (ointments, powdered form to be poured into food, shampoos, sprays...and so on.) I particularly liked that the meds I chose were safe for my cat to consume, should that happen by mistake.I look forward to sharing my story of Pet Project with my friends that live locally, all of which have dogs and cats. This pet store is convenient and well-priced but has a very limited selection of food items, especially for cats. It's handy if you need something right away but otherwise, I would rather go to a store with a wider selection.
