Love this place so much! My pit bull puppy has been suffering from all kinds of allergies, so I did some research and decided that we would try Canine Caviar kibble. Pet Express was the only location in LA that carried the brand, and Jesse, who works at Pet Express, was so knowledgeable when helping me decide which protein, toppers, and treats to try. He gladly answered about 100 of my questions, which was so reassuring. He also recommended several other options to try if the kibble didn’t work out. It’s been about a couple weeks on her new diet and my puppy’s skin has transformed. I could not be more thankful for Jesse and Pet Express! They now have me as a customer for life!

I used to live less than a mile from here but even though I live 7 miles away (which is a lot in LA) I still come here! Cheaper than Amazon and hunter, the most cuddliest cat, makes me so happy. Every treat, food and toy I’ve purchased here my cat has loved without fail. Great selection and Apple Pay! 👍🏽👍🏽

Guy at the counter (didn't get your name, sorry!) was SUPER nice and not at all overbearing or anything, just friendly and scooped the store cat out of sight when he saw we were concerned our dog might react poorly. Also gave her a bunch of snack opportunities while still giving her space (delightful, lol), and introduced us all to the freeze dried minnow treats that seem like they're going to be a big deal at our house going forward, lmao

This review is split between our first impressions (below) and a more substantial review after we started coming more consistently. I am keeping both for posterity.Older Review:Jesse is a super informative, knowledgeable, and friendly guy. He walked us through his recommendations for the best food for our kittens and answered every one of our questions.But don't take it from me or him: take it from the store cat, Hunter. Hunter is an absolute unit. Not fat or a chonker, but proportionally large. This cat eats the best food and is a small mountain lion.New Edit: I wanted to add some more since we've started coming here consistently. Jesse (and Riley) have always been super nice and friendly, even when we show up 10-15 minutes from closing (but please don't take advantage of their friendliness!) Jesse provides consistently great advice and shows his breadth of knowledge for all of his products. Another great fact: His prices can compete or outright dominate places like Chewy. He also carries a lot of extra stuff too, making Pet Express our one-stop shop for all of our pets needs (food, litter, etc,)We managed to chat with Mevi (one of the owners) very quickly, he was super friendly and knowledgeable as well. I think he runs an amazing store and employs amazing people.

The best most helpful educated caring professionals that go out of their way to help with ANY cat or dog issues you’re having. They seriously helped my cat’s dietary issues so much it probably saved his life. I tried for 2-4 years to fix and they helped right away. Thank you!!!! Highly recommend! They truly care and Hunter the resident cat is an adorable “security” cat LOL

Walked into this place totally stumped on what kind of food I should be feeding my senior dog who doesn't seem to like any kibble I try anymore. The lady new exactly what to recommend and explained the difference in the food and why she recommended it to my 16 year old doxy over the other foods. Food seams simple, but I realized how much I don't know. On my way back today to get more food. Customer service was awesome and most importantly, by dog likes the food and is eating again.

These guys a awesome. Have a credit card on file and they deliver. Getting food is as quick as a phone call. I used to use them when I had a dog about 6 years ago, then the dog died. Haven't thought much about it since then, but just got a new puppy and remembered to call them. Still the same outstanding service. Just called on a Sunday after realizing I'm out of food. They weren't open but the owner was there. He's delivering to me right now. Pure awesomeness.

First off, these guys are great people. Knowledgable, friendly and helpful. Their store is cool (although there is a cat running around and I am allergic, it's fine - I get in and out quick).Really good selection and great people. Just, be ready for a tad of chaos in getting what you need done. If they shore up these issues, I'd be happy to give them another star.

I've been going here for over 15 years it's the only place I buy my cat food. They have a lot of raw selections which is only feed my cats. Staff are usually super knowledgeable about the products.

They are a short walk from my place, usually bring my dog with me. He is a super finicky eater, so they let him try different foods and will often give me stuff for free just to try. I order it there and they deliver it later that day. They are very knowledgable, carry all the best brands. The people are great, friendly and very very helpful. I seriously can't recommend them highly enough!

This place is small and locally owned. The owner suggested another brand of food after I had tried everything and was still dealing with my dogs pink law and gnawing. It actually worked! After all the vets and brand changes and suggestions, someone's actually had the right answer. Love coming here, but beware of the kitty if you bring your dog! The pup will get beat up!

Sure it's tiny with no frills... just one narrow aisle... but Pet Express is packed with the highest quality food for your dog. Just as the brands they carry don't have any fillers in their ingredients, Pet Express keeps their shelves and freezer space reserved for only the healthiest foods.

These guys are my neighbors... and beyond the ease of proximity, they have better than the chains food, and prices that are at or lower than even the prices on sale.PetCo and the other dog-marts will never see me again, especially since the push inferior foods. Davi went through all the foods with me based on my dogs' diets and we got the best stuff for them. (Diamond lamb/rice). And he is honest too... as he did not push me towards other foods he had that cost much more.It is a tiny hole in the wall next to AutoZone... but worth finding!-Steve
