This is the most incompetent and worst car service in all of LA. They can’t replace the wheels, don’t do the same as me, don’t come here, I wanted them to change the wheels, they said it would take 2 hours, I left the car, came back after 3 hours, they said they needed another 2 hours. and there is no one who can answer competentlythey have all the necessary devices and equipment, but they cannot replace the wheels, I brought the wheels with me, probably my late grandmother would have had time to replace the wheels during this timeIf you want to waste time and money, if you want to ruin your mood, then this is the car service for you

0 is the best rate for this store. I order tire on Tuesday & make an appointment for next Thursday. When I come, the tire is not ready yet & they rescheduled to Saturday morning. On Saturday morning, after wait 30 minutes they said that the tire was on the other store due the wrong shipped.They said will pick up the tire but after another wait for 1,5 hour the tire doesn’t coming yet. When I asked for refund they said I should wait for another hour until their manager coming.the staff said is it’s not their wrong & can’t do anything to help me.

I'm a female college student, so hopefully this will help any other female students (and anyone else) trying to find a good shop! I got absolutely amazing service and they were so incredibly helpful. They were all very kind and polite, and explained what they were doing each step of the way before proceeding. They also made sure to let me know of all the costs and they were actually cheaper than the other place I had went with (almost $100 cheaper). I came in with an outside part (battery), but it didn't fit, so they bought a new one and installed it for me. They also made sure to inform me about what I should get refunded when I take my outside part back to autozone, so I could get my full refund. Service was super quick! Worked on it immediately and I was a walk in, not an appointment. I didn't need to leave and come back, because it was so quick. It took under an hour, but it would've been shorter if I had originally gotten the right part. The main person who helped me was named Julio. Really great place to go to if you're not really knowledgeable about cars or a student looking for a place around campus.

recently had car troubles and was assisted by their wonderful staff (especially a gentleman named Javier — he helped me the entire time) and had a great experience 😊. I am a female college student and was very stressed when my car was having trouble. The staff was very kind, helpful, understanding, and had excellent communication skills and always let me know what was up. Very helpful since this was my first time getting my car fixed great experience and I’ll definitely go again!

I recieved the best care from Julio, he was beyond amazing. He helped me in a quick fashion. He did my tire in under an hour. He gave good advice on the tires. He was pleasant to talk to. I will definitely come back just to see him. I enjoyed my experience here.

The guy at the front Jesus gave me the best advice I could ask for. I had a lot of questions to ask but he was very patient and professional with every answer that he gave. My car is running like a dream now because of him. Pep boys is very lucky to have him. I know he will be running the store one day. Keep up the great work and good luck.

My significant other got her oil changed here and we will never be returning. They forgot to put the oil cap back on so oil leaked all over the car's engine. Then she went back to get it fixed and they made a 4pm appointment and checked in at 3:30. At 5:30pm they still havent seen her and this is for an error they caused. We have emailed regarding this issue as we have never experienced this level of service at pepboys.

Brought my vehicle for a complete tire change, balancing and other general maintenance. I can honestly attest that this location is perhaps the best out of all the Los Angeles locations. I called several places before coming here and this was the best when it came to customer service they expedited my service and went the extra mile, I am extremely satisfied with their service and will definitely be coming back here again

Had a great experience at this Pep Boys! It has become my go-to place for all my car’s needs. Shout out to Hugo. He was completely thorough and made sure I was comfortable with everything before they started the work - which was done quickly and my car was up and running … and CLEAN. You want pathetic service come here. Incompetent and liers. Told me my truck will be in line for 3 hours when I’m realikllitley one hour wait time when asked someone else. Once I took it in the guy said it will be ready in 2hrs and a half. The guy who took my truck said he has never done it before and I believe he put conventional oil in the synthetic chamber.

Don't waste your time coming here, I had scheduled an online appointment at 10am and had dropped off my vehicle just to find out it was sitting in the same spot I left it untouched. When I picked up my car because I had lost all confidence I was told they are short staffed and it usually takes two days to complete diagnostic which the initial service advisor Miguel never told me. The guy who I picked up my car with never apologized for having wasted my day.

My friend changed the oil of his car here. Mini Cooper. They tore off the pallet and twisted the bolt with electrical tape. After 4-5 hours oil started dripping from below. These unscrupulous people did not recognize! be careful with these people.

Step 1 when going to Pep Boys have an appointment it is easier in checking in. Step 2, secondly, tell the service advisor exactly what you need. I asked for an oil change. I believed the oil change came with the changing of filters. I was wrong. I wasn't specific enough and the filters were not changed. The changing of filters are another $100 and the oil change is $94 for a total of $200 plus tax. I have never heard of anything like this. Why didn't any mechanic or service advisor came to let me know about the filters? This is bizarre. At the time of checking out I could wait another 2 hour's for the filters to be changed or take care of the filters on my next visit or next oil change.

The repair was great; unfortunately the timing of the repair meant I'd be out of state for a week - after checking with the clerk, they said it was fine to leave the car until I came back. After returning, my car had over 80 additional miles on it. The repair did not require driving to test nor was I informed at checkout (in fact, it took a while for them to even find my keys). Maybe it was naive of me to leave my car but trust when I say I didn't have much of a choice; someone got a joy ride out of it and lost a regular in the process.Would not recommend.

If you have an older car, I would not recommend bringing it to this location. Mechanics here are only interested in servicing new cars, not older ones.I took my car in for an alternator replacement around New Years. I felt like they were taking forever to fix my car. Communication was bad, they never called me back, I was on hold for hours, and I was constantly being lied to.They told me I couldn't use their Lyft service because their "system" was down, which was a lie. They also told me why they hadn't called me back to let me know why they couldn't fix my car.They said my car had an electrical issue, which Abraham told me they didn't really deal with that and that I had to take it to the dealer.I regret to say that I am not able to recommend the mechanics at this location for work on older vehicles. After my own experience, it became clear that they are primarily motivated to work on newer cars or with customers they know they can take advantage of by charging excessive fees. In order to ensure quality and fair service for your older vehicle, I suggest seeking out a specialized technician who is knowledgeable and willing to work with your specific needs. Thank you for considering my warning in your future automotive maintenance decisions.

I talk to Julio and I was told the tires I need they didn’t have but they had Coopers. Nonetheless, after having my car towed to have one tire repaired is when I found out the tires had to be ordered. This was very frustrating and I had to pay money for a tire that I didn’t want.Moreover, when I arrived Julio stated that the call must have dropped because they didn’t have the tire, he should have called me back when he found out the call had dropped because I told him I was getting my car towed. And I had to wait two hours to get one tire fix.

The first time I went there for a tire rotation, I ended up having to Postmates dinner with how long they took. I thought I'd give them another shot since it's so close to home. I went in for a brake fluid exchange and tire rotation, quoted 1-1.5 hours. It took 3 hours with no update as I sat in the waiting area. I should just make the drive to Jiffy Lube.

I love Pep Boys, but when I asked how much a ESP sensor would be to be replaced I kept getting told they needed to do 100$ check first…. I just wanted a price… very disappointed with this experience

I recently encountered a concerning experience at a Pep Boys location. My three-year-old car with only 30,000 miles experienced a drained battery due to an inadvertent headlight left on. After having the vehicle towed to Pep Boys, the battery was replaced, but the car stubbornly refused to start on its own. The technicians immediately suspected a faulty starter, which surprised me given the car's age and low mileage.I expressed my skepticism, highlighting that the vehicle had cranked over before the battery swap but stalled due to the depletion. Additionally, I mentioned having never experienced any prior issues with the car. Despite my reservations, they recommended proceeding with a full inspection, which ultimately led to a diagnosis of a failed starter and replacement of two tires, totaling a hefty $2,000.Uncomfortable with the extensive repairs and skeptical of the diagnosis, I requested my car be returned without performing the work. Interestingly, the tow truck driver managed to jumpstart the engine with the new battery, a simple solution not apparently considered by Pep Boys technicians. I had previously mentioned to them that some newer cars may require a jump after a battery change to synchronize the system, but this advice went unheeded.This experience leads me to advise caution when considering Pep Boys for automotive repairs. While isolated incidents occur, the lack of thorough initial troubleshooting and apparent disregard for customer suggestions are concerning. Seeking second opinions or consulting trusted mechanics may be prudent before committing to significant repairs at this particular location.My vehicle is running without problem now.

If they’re busy they’ll take your car for hours and return it with little to nothing done. There’s a guy with long hair and a white bead necklace at the front, very unprofessional and made light of the fact I realized nothing was done upon my return. I really wouldn’t take my car to this pep boys, honestly any pep boys. Had good experiences with the one in Torrance, they had very professional people there that made you feel confident - not second guessing if the work was done. I’ve been trying to get some sort of feedback from the company, but no luck after months. This leaves no one accountable for my lost money, time, and damage to my car. I won’t be going through large companies like this anymore - if something goes wrong there’s no one that will care/take responsibility. Will update with a good auto shop if I find one out here in la. But I really really encourage anyone who hates regretting bad decisions, don’t bring your car here.

Worst repair facility ever!!!! I brought my car that I had for only a month in for some repairs! Not only was I not being updated in a timely manner they took over a month to fix my car I just received my car took it home and when I woke up today there’s a lot of coolant on my driveway I check my reservoir and it’s completely empty!!!!more than a month of wait time to get my car back and they still haven’t fixed it!!!!!! Take your car needs anywhere else but here!!!! I call and no one can locate my representative mechanic or general manager this location is so incompetent I filed two complaints to corporate that said upper management would reach out but that hasn’t happened either!!
