I have a Poodle that weighs in at 75 pounds.. I had met one of the groomers while waiting for a friend that was at the post office across the street.The groomer, she’s definitely foxy but the reason I brought my boy in was because I was told that they love doing poodles at Dog Lovers.I am little bit disappointed in that I wasn’t allowed inside because they only groom small dogs at DogLovers.I am still a little bit baffled over this based on the encouragement I had received to bring my dog in especially since I am new to the neighborhood..I hope this is a temporary practice to only do small dogs.Otherwise I d suggest updating their business name to Small Dog Lovers..Still I am giving 5 out of 5 stars to Dog Groomers because “ Foxy” showed genuine affection towards my 9 year old 75 pound poodle, Ennui.

I really tried with this place, came here maybe 4 times . I always noticed my dog was terrified when I picked her up.. but my dog is very timid. Anywho, most of the visits were successful. Royalty is a Maltese and her hair is quite unnavigable. I come in knowing that’s she’s in “bad shape” and willing to pay the $100. I’ve notice in the past visits that her nails were quite cut down or she still somewhat had a smell. But this visit, will be my last. Although Royalty is not as easy to deal with as some dogs, I still expect my dog to be service to their full ability. Upon arriving today I was told Royalty was behaving poorly and only some of the hair was able to be tamed . Her face and 3/4 feet were left uncut. This dog looks crazy, and what exactly am I supposed to do with her now. And the only thing they could tell me was to have her put to sleep to finish the remaining of the grooming. So that’s what 100 dollars get you here at Dog Lovers. Yea thanks .Ps. To respond to your response, don’t feel bad for my dog, I bring her in when I can . And once I took her home I was able to clip her nails, remove the matting around her paws, and maintain her facial hair. Again, you left my dog looking crazy and that’s unacceptable. You never mentioned bitting, but don’t you have muzzles for that sort of thing. Funny she never bit you before. I expect you to provide a calm down pill ( or at least mention to bring one) if needed. I would have been more than willing to pay for it, due to the condition she was brought in. I am not unaware of the matting, but I am not going to explain myself to you either.I’d rather you left my dog as is, refunded my money and allowed me to go to a place more experience and professional. ✌🏾this picture is of Royalty when she was picked up. Not sure what to say. I did ask for a short cut over the body, which she did without any nicks or injuries. Just wish she had left it long around the face and just scissor trim a little like I told her to.

My wife took our Cookie (Maltepoo) for grooming and they did a terrible job. He hair were a little matted on the cheeks but they cut her so low on the face and left her hair long on the body. The proportion have not been respected and she now has this big furry body with a tiny shaved head. Hard to recognize her.Don't take your dog to this place. They are not friendly and surely do not know what they are doing. I don't think they know how to make a dog with fur look cute. I am furious!

I’ve tried to support them for years and inevitably there is always something wrong. I drove there after calling only to be turned away because “they were full” the cut is always different from what I request, the price is always different, the horrible service, tone in his voice and advanced reprimand about picking your dog up on time and flat out rude behavior from Carl (owner) They cut my dog and she as bleeding really bad. I wasn’t informed, I noticed the blood on my shirt and rear car seat. When I returned to address the cut, they lied and said it was due to a tumor she had😳 after looking closer it was because the cut her nail too low. Overall disappointing and I don’t leave there feeling like a customer ought to feel…satisfied

I actually left the wrong dog groomer a review. It definitely wasnt this place. Believe every bad review here. I called made an appointment and went to get my dog cut to be told my dog was difficult and bites. Mind you ive never been here before which i told the rude woman claiming to be the owner. She then said they didnt have time to groom him. After a not so professional discussion i decided to leave. PLEASE! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!. Very unprofessional business & a very unpleasant & obnoxious owner.

They are very nice people but terrible groomers. It has taken me a little time to write this review because I never wanted to bad mouth this place. They are incredibly nice. At the same time I know I have an obligation to let people know. I came here recommended by a few friends and they are much closer to where we live. My dogs hair was butchered. I mean different lengths and she was also cut by her ear. I will be posting the pictures on yelp as I can’t load them here. I now drive to our old groomers which is 40 minutes away but well worth the drive. My message to ownership would be to hire experienced groomers.

I've been going to this place for about a couple of years and I almost began to have second thoughts because the energy changed from good to I'm not sure (did'nt feel the passion for my fur baby) I stopped going..until I decided to make sure was it me or them? I took my lil fur baby today a felt ok about their service, the staff was really kind and professional she took me on a mini tour due to my concerns, needless to say I felt much better, more confortable , safe with them caring for my fur baby. Prices are reasonable, han San available, social distance, mask enforced, it a really great place. I recommend it

DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG !!!!It’s not worth the time the cut nor money! It’s a completely horrible dog groomers I’ve brought my dog here at least 4 times I don’t like to switch groomers because it makes things complicated with the dog and your pockets but this last time my dog seemed scared to go back and very anxious to get out when she seen me ! A few weeks after her appointment my dogs pee was very yellow when I took her to the vet I was told she had a uti. She was in perfect condition before I start bringing her to this groomer . I’m not sure what they are doing to the dogs at this point I will never go back 👎🏽

They opened at 8 AM. I was there at 8:30 AM. I was turned away because they were FULL. No more cages were available to put a friendly dog in. Not cool. They need to put a sign up saying cannot take more dogs today Instead of letting people walk in and turning them away.

The grooming in and of itself is average to good. It is not on the same level as say a Petco or PetSmart but better than some other independently owned shops that I've patronized. Good enough.Their prices are very economical and it's a minority owned business which I believe in supporting. I never have to make an appointment which is very convenient. HOWEVER, they're customer service leaves alot to be desired.There is an older gentleman who I believe is one of the owners who isn't very friendly. As a matter of fact he's down right rude and confrontational for no apparent reason at times. The last time I interacted with him I had to get him "straight".My thoughts are cheap prices or not, minority owned business or not, convenient or not, I will take my business elsewhere if their customer service doesn't change.

I came two days in a row and was told they were full for the day and both times I come an hour earlier then the last. I think they just didn’t want to do my dog because she has long hair. Don’t come here if your dog has long hair, they will send you away saying they’re full with 20 dogs.

I just took my dog there last week. His cut was uneven and nearly bald in some areas. Since he came back from this place. He started scratching uncontrollably and broken out with rashes all over his body and legs. I dont know if it was the fragrant shampoo or razors they used. But it had a awful reaction. Not to mention the lady at the front desk. Rude customer service and disorganized management. Definetly not worth the money.

The folks at Dog Lovers took great care of our Tibetan Terrier. A friend of ours referred us to them. Their prices are comparable to PetSmart. It's convenient for those in need of dog grooming services, especially living in the Windsor Hills/View Park/Baldwin Hills, Liemert Park and the Crenshaw area. Did I mention they offer dog training courses?

I took my maltipoo here for a flea bath and haircut since he was a new maltipoo I did not notice that they have gave me a different dog a totally different dog but they looked alike. The maltipoo that gave me was a female named princess, I received a phone call from them desperate to bring back princess because the owner of the dog was livid. She wanted me to come all the way back to return her I said no , they came to here I was and we exchanged dogs! I received a voucher for a free grooming and I demanded my money back. I wanted to use the voucher for another dog I gave and they denied it saying it was only for the maltipoo. I won’t be coming back. !

I will never go back to this place again!! Everytime I have went they have given my dog different haircuts and have charged different prices. This past time they tried to charge me 62 bucks from 25 the previous time. Then when I asked them about the process they tried to say that my dog wasnt the breed dog that his actual breed papers say!! Cant rely on good business in the hood!! Go here if you wan

Brought my three dogs there for grooming, I asked for low cuts and on my dogs my dogs cuts were all uneven. My dogs were super thirsty it wouldn't even get my dog some water. I will never do business with the people again.

Clearly a student groomed our dog on my last visit. We wasn't pleased with the finished product, at all! All at the same time, she was really in need of a wash and cut. This was not our 1rst and it won't be our last.

I’ve taken my Maltese and Shepard Mix Girl Dogs to this place and they Come out looking good BUT acting very strange like they are being Agressively Handled and Mistreated , I won’t be coming to this place ever again , my dogs were in perfect Health before coming and now they both have similar breathing issues where they are gasping for air due to weakened throat muscles . Sorry not sorry .

Very nice folks, but the worst groomers I’ve ever seen. I have a shih tzu and they have her a cut for a completely different dog. Don’t do it to yourself.

I just walked in for the first time EVER and I was treated very rudely. The lady just shouted that they were full and she never greeted me with the proper respect or an invitation or an appointment to come back I guess I just had to leave.
