The staff at Birdman Pet Store are experienced, caring and informative. You get a sense of well being when discussing anything to do with the pets, especially the birds. They helped us pick a wonderful addition to our Flock family. He is a beautiful budgie and immediately hand tame, wonderful.Unlike the local pet store (Al's Pet Store), their birds do not come with mites, or pests of any kind and are healthy beyond comparison to Al`S pet store. This budgie and our Cockatiel are in fantastic health and seem so much more well adjusted to apartment life than any other pet store we have purchased birds from in Los Angeles!The environment at Birdman's Pet Store makes for a very happy pet bird and a very satisfied customer. I got 2 baby Pet Rats and they're adorable they never bite me and they've grown to adults theyre healthy as well. They gave me advice and tips on how to raise them and the owners and workers are friendly. The prices are affordable as well.Love this family owned business.

This place is decently sized with alright looking birds. Clean cages, there were 3 English budgies, 1 healthy male in his own cage and a breeding pair, altho the female of the pair appears to have a hurt wing. Many chicken supplies and wild bird feed here as well. Prices reasonable. Not a lot of selection for perches and toys. The fish could be in better conditions. There were dwarf hamsters and Syrian hamsters in inadequate housing which is unfortunate the norm for pet stores. Under the bird cages there were hamsters and small rodents in tiny wooden carriers chewing chewing chewing on the mesh, most likely very bored in the tiny carrier but maybe they're feeders for reptiles? They had small tortoises and a section for cats and dogs, tho every section is quite small accommodating most pet animals.Overall it was better than Feathers N Friends and Quetzal, but not worth driving for the animals. Parking is decent.

This is a great pet store to get birds and bird products. They also have fish & reptiles but they are mainly a bird pet store.

Great if your looking for budgies! Def recommend! Bought 2 boys 3 days ago for my older budgie who was lonely. The ladies there were super nice and answered every question I had.

Dont buy any animals here. The birds we got 2 and a half weeks ago had clymidia and a horrible stomach virus. It is extremely contagious to the other bird and the birds are way too crowded in their cages. Im never going back and now my other 2 birds are probably going to die now too. Im going to do what i can to make this shop have repercussions for this.

The buggies are like 15 per SMALL cage the cage size is not even big enough for 2 to be able to live healthy. I unfortunately did not do my research before purchasing 2 buggies from them and both of this died with in 3 months in the same week. I didn’t everything right to care for my birds. After talking to a vet it was assumed they were sick when bought. The birds were not happy and in terrible condition. When trying to purchase they did not even want to talk to me or help me.

The condicion of the little birds and other animals are deplorable, I saw baby turtles turned over and when I told the attendant she said that she didn't have a key and other customer also told her and nothing was done. The place doesn't have air conditioning and smelled terrible. Thinking of calling animal services.😡😡😡

Though not a fully stocked place(place is kinda small but I'm sure there's more in back room, don't go by my visual observation) they have a lil of whatcha need (kinda like a Kuicki-mart) plus I'm sure they can't special order some things(don't quote me in that, never placed any special orders, just know most places can/will) Bird man pet shop is that lil necessity every community needs for their lil critters(that mom n pop business) I've gone to them for basic feeding necessities for my insects, reptiles and mammals. Tho most of my critters are almost gone(they're time was up), I'd still recommend Bird Man pet shop for a lil speedy shopping experience. Just a heads up, the place isn't fancy looking like big chain pet shop but neither are most small convenience store. You're basically there to get whatcha came for and out you go. Lastly, you're always greeted by a friendly person ready to assist you.

Got my babies here 🐥🐔🦆love this store and been coming here for the longest from when it was on figueroa and ave 60 near the Post office. Always get my crickets 🦗here for our leopard gecko 🦎

This is a great shop for you to buy birds and pets too and I think they are the nicest things so that would be my opion on this bird shop I been here a couple of times and it really brings the people company

This shop has been around a long time. It used to be near Ave. 60. On an Easter in the 1960's my mother bought my sister's and I duckis from this shop.

This is an old business that was up near the Highland Park Post office 😬 but with all these new people with money coming in to Highland Park and messing up our community running out our store owners putting UP their rent 3 times so now my Birdman had to move South down Figueroa St 😟it make me so sick that all these people don't care what they are really doing to all us people that just get thrown out of our stores and homes 😬😟😬when does it stop 😕😞😕

HORRIBLLLEE, I called 30 MINUTES ahead for a specific animal to purchase, drove a long drive, when arrived they had SOLD that animal and didn't bother to call back and let me know it was sold and just wasted my time and money, WOULD NOT recommend due to HORRIBLE customer service.
