What can I even say.... let's see; the cockatiels were quite overweight. Bearded dragon was overweight and in too small of a tank, there were bags of fish on the ground. The budgie was alone. A few of the very large fish were in way too small of tanks. It was honestly really depressing to see the level of neglect. I understand some places get very overwhelmed with having so many different types of animals, but my advice would be.. stop filling your shop up!! Only get as many pets as you guys can handle to take care of. I've seen better pet care at PetCo and that's saying something.

34 pet shop is my favorite. It is a true old school pet shop with birds, reptiles, and furry animals. It has large variety of healthy freshwater aquarium fish too. 34 pet shop has all supplies anyone needs for their favorite pet. It’s a family affair run by family members and visited by families too. I go for the Bettas they have the best quality, variety and prices ever! 34 Pet Shop is your one stop shop. They simply cannot be beat on price and verity types of animals and supplies. I drive more that 34 miles to get here but it’s worth it! This Shop is the neighborhood stable it even has a pet grooming portion. The store owners are very knowledgeable about any of your pets that they sell. When you visit tell them that Omar sent you.

The father of the establishment is very rude. He's lucky people have the patience to deal with that kind of behavior. On many accounts he's been known to slander the buyer and raise prices as he sees fit. I went in to purchase a ball python and I was having a lovely conversation with the young lady of the store and as I'm going to buy her father pulls her to the side and whispers to her. I have no clue what was said however right after she approached the register saying that the price has changed. They then changed the price twice before the father came to me and took over her sale completely. He tried to hassle me saying the "he knows snakes" and that the prices he's offered were deals and I should be grateful. The father alone is enough to never come back but the condition of the animals are another issue entirely. Many times I've gone in to see the ball pythons and many have been seen scrawny, clearly stressed, stuck shed, and some have even been burnt because of the bulb they use. The first few times I've came here I thought this would be the shop I'd come to forever. That being said this was not the "ma and pa" pet store I believed it to be.

It’s Monday at 12 noon, I called this store 3 (THREE) times! The first 2 calls, woman says “Hello, wait one minute please”! I wait longer than one minute and they hang up on me! The 3rd time I called, they do not answer there phone! All I wanted was the price of FISH FLAKES!

I went here to buy some feeder fish and I was shocked at the state of the store. Smelly, overly cluttered, no one greets you or offers help unless you track them down and ask, I felt bad for the animals they do have as the environment is not comfortable. I will not be returning.

Really disappointed. Went to buy 3 feet of 1 1/4” tubing…was great that they had it, a nice young man cut it for me, but it had no price. We went to ask the woman behind the counter who I think is the owner how much it was and she said $7 a foot.I’ve worked at various aquarium stores off and on for over a decade and never heard of tubing being that pricey. I’m sure prices have gone up, but that is extremely high. I told her this, and that the price “was highway robbery”, and she then told the guy he could charge me $3 a foot. No sooner than she said that, she said, $5 a foot.I said, “l’m sorry, I don’t mean to be rude, but you’re just spouting out numbers at random. Is there an actual price for this that doesn’t keep changing?”She then looked away and refused to speak to me and the guy who worked there was dumbfounded and apologized. I just left. Never will I give my business to an owner that treats their customers this way. I would have rather her stuck to her guns of the tubing being $7 a foot than to “profile” me and make up prices arbitrarily then refuse to speak to me when I called her out about it.

I recently bought a new fish tank and supplies from here. The younger female cashier added 7 more items into my bag and rung it up without me knowing. When I questioned the total and started adding everything up manually, then she started explaining what these extra items were.Both the older woman and younger woman were present, the younger one was helping me with my transaction. I'm not sure who done it, but they both tried it. I asked her to remove those extra items from my total, then paid and left.I then found 2 extra fish tank plants in my bag...If the tank is $99 and I'm walking around picking up more items, why would you still try to rob me? In a predominately Black American neighborhood? This business is foul.

The only place close enough to us that offers the beloved glass pellets of our pet. I just like this pet store. The team has a lot of animal awareness. They still manage to ensure consistency of new goods when doing so, and it is obvious how much they both enjoy animals. I'm going here again!

After years and 1,000's of dollars spent at this establishment, the rudeness is unacceptable. I walked in carrying a can of Iced Tea, no visible signs of NO food and/or drinks. The father rudely walked up to me and told me to get out with my can. Of that wasn't bad enough it was done in front of other customers. Asian Americans, need to realize they can NOT speak to any paying customer(s) like we're their children or beneath them. I'll take my hard earned money elsewhere. To think I've helped them when they had a mentality challenged individual grabbing fish out their tanks. And twice when someone was trying to steal from them.

I came here to buy my son a snake for his 4 year birthday. They picked a snake out for him. I went to take the snake to petco to pick up a reptile cage because the tanks they had were only 10 and 15 gallon tanks that day. Petco looked at my snake and told me immediately upon lookin at the snake that the snake was sick. I called to the store to let them know that I had taken the snake to get checked on and they told me “you bought the snake and it’s your problem” then hung up. Very bad customer service I had to just buy my son a whole new snake from Petco. I paid less then half of what I paid to this hood store at Petco and got way better service. Never going here again! So disappointed!

Last Saturday, I was looking for a pet shop that has an affordable and high-quality traveling cage for my dog. I was so happy and thankful when I found your shop inside the most well-known mall here in our area. I was so thankful to all of your staves for being so friendly and accommodating. The store gave me one of the most confusing experiences I have ever had at any store.My wife and I have 6 chickens, and need a specific type of food for them. We had to normally drive 16 miles each way to Malibu feed to pick up this food which was a pain in the butt, but they sold it for $24.99 for a 50 lb bag. I was really happy when I found the exact same bag at the 34 Pet shop for $28.99, and was willing to pay the extra four bucks to not drive 30 miles! Also, I thought I was doing the right thing shopping at a local store, so whatever, I'll pay the extra 4 bucks.Anyways, I bought the chicken's their food at the 34 pet shop **twice** at this price ($28.99). When I came a third time, they told me that they never ever carried this product, despite the fact that I bought it there **twice**, looked at me like I was nuts, and had to special order it. Not a problem, whatever. I put down a non-refundable $20, and waited for them to call. When my order came in, I drove to the store, and they said that it was now $38.99, a full 10 bucks more than what I paid the previous two times at this same store! As well, they told me that if I needed to purchase it again, I had to give them a FULL MONTH to special order it. Anyways, I now refuse to shop there, but luckily found a similar product at Centinella feed for $24.99.Don't shop there. They will rip you off.

I've went to this pet shop about 5 years ago and the customer service was very bad some things pertaining the fish that I had purchase from them Inotice very early that the fishes were getting .some type of fungus on them and white spots on them as well. So I went back to the pet store to explain to the owner what have been go on she says that it's probably coming from my aquarium water. When she told me that I knew right then an their that she didn't have a clue about what she was talking aboutI began to be very unsatisfied with their business and walk out of the store and never return back.

Outside of the confidence and knowledge of the lady that works there, there's not a lot of positive things to say. I can say that the item that i posted here is just about twice as much there. There is a hideous odor towards the birds area, but I believe that's made by the rodents they have. They're are too many rodents there for my taste. Parking is taking up by the neighboring businesses. They do have good selection of items that go iside your tank. And of course, another business in "the Hood", that is part of the very fabric of the community that can't seem to "get with the times."

Sooooo glad to finally find turtle food. Tried a half dozen places when the beautiful Assistant Manager of Food for Less took her phone out and finally found this marvelous pet store.Clean and smelled good. The young lady behind the counter was delightful. Interesting stories of her travels abroad and her observation of animals there.

They are good for emergency pet food needs. Only small bags of bird seeds etc. Lots of small animals ,birds fish etc. However it's not very clean,and they allow employees to abuse the ♿ parking space. The floor has VERY DIRTY CARPET. The people working there are nice.

Terrible. Sad. I came in and most of their reptiles were malnourished and not being taken care of. Most of their bearded dragons had cut tails, and they were all dehydrated. Their pacman frog wasn't even in the right enclosure. Their temperatures and humidity were not at all accurate for the environment they were supposed to be in. The boa's had infections in their mouths (swollen and bleeding), stuck shed, and no proper treatment. As an experienced reptile handler, I asked the workers if they were treating the boa's and the lady up front said yes. I asked her with what and she said she had no idea and that they were not being treated (after having said they were), she looked like she had 0 interest in treating them or even in hearing me out about my concerns of the reptiles. DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE TO BUY REPTILES. Unless you're buying them to save them from the terrible conditions they're being put under right now. Really sad seeing them not care about their pets being sold. I took pictures of the terrible conditions the boa's were in, and if there's a way to post them on here I will.
