Ahhhhh...the unpretentious shall inherent the earth.... You'll find this kind of diner/restaurant in the Movies....casual, simple, not full of itself. You'll get efficient, Friendly service at Charlie's, and you're there for the food, right? Count on large portions, good variety and fresh, tasty dishes. There's a small inside setting, or enjoy the Vineyard views from the spacious outdoor patio. It's the Restaurant at the End of the Known World... Next stop...The Great Outdoors! It's a real hidden gem!

My partner and I enjoyed tasty mexican food here with excellent salsa, and delicious milkshake desert, but the best part of the experience was the staff. The best hospitality I have received in recent memory and possibly in my entire life.Also, there was a very cute cat around who let us pet him- a good cat.Made us feel right at home!

I decided to eat elsewhere after the waitress slammed menus on the table. I made the mistake of sitting at a patio table that didn't have salt and ketchup because I'm pregnant and didn't want to sit right next to the smoking BBQ pit. She offered to seat me at the picnic tables by the road but I didn't feel safe sitting right by the road since I was dining with a 6 year old kid who is in foster care who don't know well. I didn't think it was a big deal that I wanted to sit on the side of the patio away from the smoke, and don't know why she didn't want to safely accommodate me and my party.

The hamburger was simple and tasty (single cheeseburger with pepper jack) the fries were good and the beer is reasonably priced (draft blue moon). Charlie's is a good place to stop for a old school hamburger and beer. The servers were really nice to.

We stopped in on our way back to L.A. had the 1/4 lb cheeseburger, mom had patty melt my son had a double mushroom burger with cheese. Very fresh. Delicious. Bonnie was a server.

What a gem! I was craving some home cooked breakfast and Charlie's served it up. The biscuits and gravy were hot, flaky, and generous. The half portion was enough to fill me up. The gravy had bits of bacon and sausage, a nice creamy texture (not gelatinous), and the biscuit was buttery. Perfect! My husband got the Denver omelet and loved it just as much. Cozy decor & the staff was as friendly as can be. I'll be back!

If you're looking for a fancy meal, choose one of the other great restaurants in Los Alamos. But if you're looking for a delicious cheesy burger to soak up all that alcohol in your system, than look no further than Charlie's! Nothing gets rid of a hangover like a burger and shake from here. Great deals on beer too!

The food was great, had an omelet husband had a breakfast burrito, and both were hot. Omelet was full of good bacon tasted homemade. Waitress didn't bring a spoon to use with stirring coffee. Husband asked for creamer and had to get his own creamer. It's a community restaurant. The customers welcomed people as they came in had that Mayberry feel to it. Everyone knows everyone, and they care about each other. It was wonderful to see. Charlie, the owner/cook, came out and sat in the dining area and talked, which made us feel welcome it was the best accidental find ever. Beat Dennys by a long shot.

The food and service was excellent. I was there on a very bright and sunny day. The patio is fabulous. There is a wonderful fouitain waterfall to set a relaxing mood and hills of grapes just beyond.

I've loved Charlie's from the first visit. Food is fantastic and service is best I've seen. I would recommend a Harry burger with the grilled peppers added. But have it cut because it's enough for two. All the food is fantastic just had lunch there today .

I ordered a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and an English muffin.EVERYTHING was perfectly prepared. Like... perfect.Service was friendly. We sat on the patio. Very nice.

So great to finally give this spot in Los Alamos our attention. Very expensive to get a meal in the town but Charlie's gives you great food at a very reasonable price. The parking lot out front was often packed with cars and now we know why. Had a couple of great omelettes for breakfast served by Mona, a fabulous waitress. Will definitely go back.

Arguably the best burger I've ever had, and I'm a foodie which means it comes a tight second to Seattle's burger competition. I had the rib burger, which was just mind blowing. Plus I was asked how I like it done, a juicy medium - pink on the inside, grilled outside is exactly how it arrived. All ingredients are super fresh, locally grown and delicious.Now I have a burger place that's too far away to pop into every week - anyway..Congrats on adding hope to the otherwise dismal American idea of "good" food!

When the lady asked if I wanted anything off the burger I said onions and tomato but never said cheese and the cheese isn’t even on my burger plus I ordered the burger with fries I thought it’d be obvious that I wanted onion rings and fries but I guess not.
