I do NOT recommend this place as it seems like they find ways to run up your bill. We have a large but friendly dog that needed his ears cleaned and nails clipped. I gave him a sedative an hour and a half prior to visit and he was calm at the time of visit. Before even trying to do anything they were already saying we would most likely have to bring him back and they would knock him out.Well, they tried but said he needed additional sedatives or bring him back another visit$$$$$$They wanted over $500 at this point and that did not include the additional sedative. They seemed either ill-equipped to handle large dogs or were just interested in driving up the cost of the visit.

Dr. Cooper was super professional and took excellent care of my cattle dog. She’s known to be a bit “nippy” as they naturally are. She responded super well to he’s calm demeanor. We will be back soon for blood work and a spay. (:

Everyone from the front desk to the the Veterinarians are very helpful and caring. My girls have been visiting there since they were puppies from the same litter, after almost 15 years, we now only have one girl but she has never showed any hesitation when visiting VCA Rossmoor-El Dorado. They really take pride in taking care of our animals.

As you can tell from my pug's face, Brutus feels very comfortable here. The staff & Dr. Hartwick are very thorough with what is going to be done with Brutus & answers questions I have during our visits. His professional demeanor is always there, which is why I highly recommend Dr. Hartwick & this VCA. Please keep up the great job!

We took our new kittens here and it was a good experience. Dr. Cody moved to this location so we decided to come here even though its slightly further, he was wonderful per usual and the staff was great. All went smoothly despite covid restrictions, our kids got dewormed and checked out, all is good.

All the personnel, from the front desk to the back treatment rooms to the doctors and visiting specialists, are the best. Very professional, courteous, and they sincerely care about our pets. I have been grateful for the care they have given us, whether during a routine checkup or while analyzing a difficult problem. The doctors have called me after hours with test results so I don't have to spend a night or a weekend waiting and worrying. I recommend this clinic to my many "doggie" friends in Leisure World.

The vet my cats see, Dr. Camacho is a very friendly, informative, and personable man. He's great with my cats, he remembers her and really enjoys getting to see her, even if it's not under the best circumstances. He is understanding about the financial aspect of pet care, and truly concerned with the things that matter. The rest of the staff is always friendly and helpful with whatever I need. They're gentle with my cats, and look up information when they think it might help with my concerns.

I agree this is a nice facility but Dr Camacho is a 2 face if your spending money he's nice of your limited on money he's rude and acts like he doesn't have time to explain things unlike other female Dr that's there she's always thorough and understanding I won't mention her name because he might take it out on her

This is such a great place to bring your pets. I brought my dog Luna whom I just rescued and they gave her the best care. I was there for about an hour and I was a walk in. These people really do care about animals and it shows on the way they treat them. I forgot the name of the doctor but she was so great, she was very knowledgeable and kind. I definitely recommend this place. The ladies from the front desk are very kind as well.

Made sure to let the office know in advance that I have a rescue Great Dane with dog aggression yet after waiting for an hour and traumatizing my dog waiting in the office, the doctor refused to see her and even told me to take her back to the shelter. Completely inappropriate for someone who works with animals. Will never return and would never advise anyone to work with Dr Hartwick.

Great place to take my furbabies to. They really care about your pets and it shows. I have taken 4 pets to them and they all get great care! Dr. Casale is so thorough and helpful. Very accommodating front staff and they are always friendly. Techs are efficient as well :) Its always hard to know what vet to choose but I know they are in great hands here and I’m glad I found them!

I've taken my 2 old ladies (cats) here for 10+ years. We just added a puppy and took her here as well. I have not tried another vet and probably wont. Sure, they are not the cheapest, but IMO worth it. I can always get an appointment that day or the next. I never wait more than 10 minutes before being seen. Everyone in the office is kind, friendly and compassionate.

I’m dissatisfied with the services and cost of services provided.I brought my cat in for a teeth cleaning and removal of a lump on the cats head.The cost was outrageous for teeth cleaning and bloodwork ($591.72). I was told if I bought the pet care coverage the removal of the lump would be covered. I bought the coverage. On the day of the surgery I was told they’d be an additional $500 for ant extracted teeth.After the surgery, I received a call from Dr. Cody and he said everything went fine. I asked him about the lump. He assured me it was a cyst and it had been removed. I asked him if there were any stitches involved and he said “no”.When I brought her home I saw the lump was still on her head. I called the office and spoke with Tiffany. She said the doctor had left for the day and he did not make any notes regarding the removal of a cyst.In addition, the pet care package does not include removing a cyst. I feel like I was overcharged and roped into buying a plan that was not needed. I wished I had never gone there. Very sad about it all.

Would not recommend coming here.I had a free exam certificate for an exam for a pet I recently adopted. They canceled and reschedule my original appointment and were able to get me in the following week.I saw Dr. Hartwick and mentioned to him my new dog was having some eye discharge. He stood by the door while I was sitting down (about 2 ft distance) and he said the eyes appear to be fine, but he never closely examined them. He did listen to the heart and lungs and felt around his abdominal area but never assessed his eyes up close. That evening I noticed in the inner corner of my dogs eye it was red and there was a bump there. I called the office the following day and emailed a photo for the doctor to look at. They called me back saying I need to come back in because its hard to tell from the photo. I asked if I need to pay to come back in and they said yes. I didn’t think that was right so they asked an office manager who said it’s up to the doctor. Dr. Hartwick said yes i will be charged for the visit. I explained to them that he never assessed the eyes up close but according to his notes he did. If he truly assessed the eyes like he said he did then he would have noticed the bump along with the redness. I understand if they wanted to charge me if it came up a week later but this was the following day and it’s not fair that I need to find time to have to go back there because he neglected to do a proper assessment.Will be going to another vet and I recommend everyone else does the same. This place clearly lacks customer service and only care about making money.

I have been going to this place for 2 years now. The front desk staff is very friendly. They know me so well there that they normally have me checked in when they see me walk through the door. I normally see Doctors Glasser and Casale both who are very knowledgeable, caring and give my cats fantastic care everytime. The facility is very clean and always smells nice. They offer different "Care Club" packages for your dog or cat which many places don't offer. LOVE this place and I would highly recommend. ❤️🐾

This may be entirely based on the very poor receptionist bc she was the only one we spoke to about our pets care. She was very rude and dismissive when all we wanted was to get our pet back in our arms. We waited just under 2 HOURS for vaccinations WITH an appointment, and the worst part was we paid $120 to be treated so poorly. I wouldn't recommend this place even to people I didn't like because animals deserve more respect then we did here.

Dr. Hasselbrink…shared honest and knowledgeable options with an attitude of kindness towards understanding how hard it is to realize my little 17 year old poodle is getting tired and financially made me feel comfortable in my decision as of today . I took my dogs here about a month ago. I have been asking for the doctors records so I can submit a claim to my dogs pet insurance. I have asked three times and I'm about to call and ask for a FOURTH time. I usually take my dogs to another VCA where it’s NEVER a problem getting the doctors records after the first ask. I’m never bringing my dogs back to this location.

I absolutely LOVE this place, from the lobby staff to the vets, everyone is concerned about the treatment of your pets. I receive phone calls from Dr.s detailing test results to the office staff calling to check on status of my pets days after procedures occur. This facility is not close to me, but I don't mind the drive because I know my four-legged family members are being given the best care that is available to them.

Dr. Hasselbrink, Dr. Hartwick, and the entire staff at VCA Rossmoor-El Dorado honestly and truly care about their patients. When I had to put my kitten to sleep they were all supportive and sympathetic and when my other kitten needed a small procedure they were all just as kind and supportive. It can be very upsetting and scary when your pet is ill or injured, so I find it comforting to know that the staff at this VCA will give your pet the care and attention they need.

We have been taking our whippets to see Dr. Glasser from puppies to 2yrs old. We are always welcomed warmly with a smile. Whippets love it here! Treatment and advice is second to none. We would not trust anyone else with the care of our dogs.

Last week was my first visit at Rossmore El Dorado animal hospital. I saw Dr. Camacho regarding my cat Joey. Explained his condition and was very satisfied with the results. Joey had a very thorough exam and was given instructions on his condition. Joey is doing great and will continue going back. I recommend Rossmoor animal hospital.

Personally didn't like this place. The staff was rude... I was 40$ short and got paid the next day and weren't willing to let me take my dog (who just had puppies) home, ended up having to overdraw my account to make sure they got their money in full (some vets would have worked something out, but nope not them they just wanted the money). My dog got 2 oxytocin shots she did not need, they charged me for 3 hrs of her being there (she was only there for 1 1/2). A week later I found out she contracted kennel cough FROM BEING HELD HERE! This place is horrible, horrible service, prices for stuff you don't need. I wouldn't reccomened taking your dogs here because they will just become more sick than before.

The staff goes out of their way to help you. They greet me and my dog. Dr. Casale is the best. They understand that my dog has special needs since she attacked by another dog a few years ago.

There is not a rating that is low enough to give VCA Rossmoor. This morning I took my perfectly healthy 9 year old chihuahua in for teeth cleaning, which we had done 5 years ago without any problems. I received a call from Dr. Camacho 3 1/2 hours later telling me my dog was DEAD. HOW IN THE WORLD CAN THIS ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND ALL THE WORKERS LIVE WITH THEMSELVES AFTER KILLING MY DOG!!!! SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN NOW BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE HAS THIS HAPPEN. Dr. Camacho, Toni and whoever else was in the room administering the "gas" to put my dog to sleep did something very wrong. I wish I knew what it was, but it still won't bring my dog back to our family.

Unfortunately I had to bring my 7 month American Cocker Spaniel in because she her left eye was swollen, red, inflamed and watery; with a lot of eye mucous. Her left I had a blue tint on it and was really infected. (Her eyes a brown) I made an emergency appointment on a Tuesday evening; had am appointment with Dr. Glasser. She new instantly what was wrong. She stained her eye, gave her a shot for pain and antibiotics as well as, prescribed her antibiotics and two different eye drops for the next two weeks.I received another appointment, for a follow-up in a week. My little Ava, was starting to look a lot better within a 6-7 days.Came back for her last follow-up visit and Dr. Glasser said "Everything was looking great." She had a little cherry-eye still. However, the blueness around her eye was gone. No scar tissue or damage to her eye.I'm happy to say that my 7 month Ava Grace doesn't need eye surgery, nor is she going to lose her vision or have to have eye drops for the rest of her life. (Pure enthusiasm and peace of mind resides with me)Thank you Dr. A. Glasser all the wobder ladies at VCA hospital.. Dr. Glasser I can't express how WONDERFUL you are as w person and doctor!!Thank you so much, from Autumn (mama), Ava (baby girl) and Kalev (big brother).
