Its a nice store but when trying to get some help to order some wood, the man behind the counter was in a rush. He was not helpful at all and seemed as if I was taking up his time. Ill be happy when the Torrance store opens I know the people over there will be helpful.

Don’t deal with Scott in windows and Door to place an order over the phone he’s not going to help you. On the other hand anyone else will take your order over the phone.He says he only does in person orders.What a disappointment and shame.

Very bad customer service from top to bottom. In particular Paul was horrible. The manager Brandon was just as useless. Never got the call back that was promised. This store acts like they're the only lumber yard in the area. If you're not a major contractor expect horrible service. My order was only $3800 so apparently that's small enough that they don't care if they loose my business. Lesson learned thanks Ganahl!

They weren't all that friendly with me, I assume it was because I wasn't buying in mass quantity. One guy who was working in the fancy wood section was nice though. Outside however, they were not so friendly at the cutting area. Just one guy really, but I ended up not buying my wood and probably won't buy any there again. Plus side, it was the only store I could find a simple 1/4 inch spade bit that was sold by itself. Will come back for those, but not wood.

While their selection of quality products is extensive they are grossly inept when it comes to ensuring those same products make it to their customers. I have been waiting for a simple door for three months. Their response is to simply call the vendor and ask for an update. Their has been zero active intervention by anyone at the store, just a lot of apologies. Apparently management either have no contacts or no interest in helping

Been coming here since I was a kid with my father. Great selection of just about everything you'd expect from a hardware store. Lots of odd ball hard to find items to for a lot of older homes. Beautiful hardwoods always in stock and a great selection of glass to.

I like the personal service!! If your someone that doesn't go there all the time, like a contractor, They Are Excellent!!! It's unlike the Orange store. They have a Greeter that will either take you to the aisle or direct you. Everyone knows that store!! Than there are plenty of folks around that further ask you if you need help, and Take You To the Products!!! Love this Store!!!! They are a Small chain, not national, so it's more like supporting the small business!!

I love this place! It's smaller than Home Depot and Lowe's, but for that reason their customer service is far more superior. They've got everything the big hardware stores have except for a garden section. I'm going to be moving out of the area soon and this will be one of the stores I miss the most!

You are greeted warmly by long time cashier Vengie and other workers near the front entrance. Had 4 house keys made at a very good price.The key lady made sure to match the blank keys carefully and told me to return with the receipt but ,no need as they turned so smoothly first try.I also found a hard to find sprinkler part .Ganahl is a nice place to just look around with very helpful and knowledgeable staff..

The best place to find almost any type of wood to complete any job. Very helpful staff. Without asking they provided me with a mask instead of telling me to leave. I really appreciate that. They also keep records of each stores inventory and let you know where to go to get what you need. Great service

I went to Ganahl to purchase a french door for my home. I walked around the door/window area & no one approach me. All of the sales people were sitting at their desks talking among themselves. I finally ask a salesperson only get told to go the different websites of the manufacturers. Then, he walked me over to look at one door and wasn't interest in helping me out. The next week, my husband & I went in together. We walked up and down the rows of doors/windows in front of all the salespeople. No one came out to help us. They were talking among themselves, you can hear the laughter and stories so we knew that they were not talking to other customers. No one had anyone sitting at their desks doing business with them. We were ready to buy a French door at that time. So, we left and is taking our business somewhere else.

Great service today with paint. I needed to cover dark green walls. The specialist recommended a high- hide primer for this purpose and colored it to match my new paint to reduce the number of coats I'll need to paint.

A good lumber store. My dad goes there often to buy wood and other supplies for his projects. For my Eagle Project, they offered to cover the cost for the lumber which was a very generous offer. They have pretty much everything you need there, plus the staff is willing to help.

Between getting overcharged for basically everything, waiting at least over 30 minutes for materials to be pulled, and having a very small selection compared to the Torrance or Costa Mesa locations. It’s really a shame that this location is the closest to my house. Currently waiting for my order to be pulled and it’s been 12 minutes shy of an hour of waiting with my order still at will call. I would have pulled the materials myself if it was somewhere I could get to without a forklift. I’ve had the pleasure of coming here before they started the remodel and they’ve managed to keep me waiting long enough to tell myself not to come back. Best advice to anyone wether it’s buying 1 small thing or a whole house worth of materials, if you are going to spend ganahl money, go to Torrance.

I don't have an issue for paying a little more for quality materials, top named brands, and an intelligent, construction background, work force on the floor. I find 90% of what I need for my business (flooring) especially when it comes to substrates and wall base mouldings. My favorite hardware store.Take it from me. I hate em all.....but this one kicks ass

Locked my bicycle to the rack out front, found the electrical outlet I needed quickly, paid, and then bought Thin Mints from the Girl Scouts outside. Good shopping experience.

I guess a woman isn't supposed to do repairs. I went in looking for a creative solution to fix a broken gate latch. All I got was why none of my ideas would work and there was no way to fix it. I do repairs around my house. I am now going to Home Depot where they don't hover and tell you that you don't know what you are talking about

worst experience of my life. no one can help you, thay just watch you walk around like a lost puppy dog. when I finily asked for help, the lady in the front sent me to the guy in the back who sent me to someone else, who then sent me back to the first lady. waste of my time, just stick with the home depot or lows.

Fantastic selection and quality of lumber. Bought a fat stack of cedar here and the salesman, Aaron Richardson, was the best help in the yard.Also, they've got a huge range of Makita power tools, Channellock gadgets, and maybe the best galvanized fastener aisle I've ever seen. Also picked up a sack of nylon nuts.

Better quality materials than home improvement stores. If you know what you're doing, you go here, if you think you know what you're doing, hire someone who will go here. This is not a hardware store like home depot, it's a lumber yard that sells contractor grade equipment.
