The CAFE & NURSERY is my new Favorite 😍 That dessert espresso over vanilla bean ice cream is delicious. Fish Tacos 🌮 are always a hit.

What a beautiful concept for a restaurant! This is actually a working nursery where you can walk through plants, trees, and bushes while you wait for your table. Tables can be outside or inside depending on where you’d like to sit. The outside tables are actually granite seats and tables that you can scan the QR code to order your food and pick it up or go inside for traditional food ordering and service. The food is delicious! Make sure you put in your reservations as they fill up quickly and stop taking walk-ins. Definitely worth the drive. Prepared to spend $20-$30 per person. Mimosas were delicious. We ordered one of every dessert! everything we had I would order again, but some favorites to point out, would be the housemade potato chips, banana bread French toast and 1000% get a pizza!

We love the super popular cafe at High Hand. Great food, especially the pizza. Dining on the patio with the pups is terrific fun, though could do without all the pesky heaters everywhere. If you're planning to eat here, come weekdays at quiet times, otherwise try for a reservation, or prepare to wait a long time.High Hand seems short staffed. This puts a lot of pressure on the people who work there. As a nursery, have to say there are much better ones in the vicinity, with healthier plants at better prices. We come to High Hand for lunch, not for the plants.

This was an extremely large and beautiful nursery with every plant and flower that I never knew existed. It’s a beautiful place to just take a walk even though they have a very large store full of handmade treasures as well as an entire room dedicated to olive oil. The Koi fish pond was a Beautiful area to visit that brought lots of smiles of the kids faces. I also noticed that there were lots of friendly staff around to answer our questions.

This place has everything!! Indoor plants, outdoor plants and alll the accessories needed for both. They have a flower shop, a place to buy oils, salsa, cookies, coffee, tea, and many different types of food at their side down cafe. We spent a couple hours wondering around the place, enjoying the koi pound, and sitting on the many benches throughout the location. We ended up with five plants, iced tea, Arnold Palmers and a couple pots. We will definitely be back as there was no way we saw everything!

A little pricey but they have one of the largest selections of trees and shrubs around. It's a great place to walk around and even dine for breakfast or lunch. They have a ton of event space for groups.

I was the husband following my wife and her best friend as we went "shopping" at a nursery. Our friend said there was a restaurant there that we might consider. After shopping, which even interested me, we tried it. IT WAS GREAT! Our server was Addie who gave us several options (good ones) and recommended the porter (which they brew) when I inquired about their dark brews. Next Erin (the manager) appeared at my elbow informing me that the porter was not available (very popular). She recommend the stout as a dark beer which she liked too. She brought a can for my approval. It was good! Dinner was ordered and then served. I do not know if this was their regular menu or whether they change it depending upon the season but it was EXTREMELY good. Their boutique pizzas were spot on. The selection was limited but very intriguing combinations. We were able to order two which said "try ME" and one that was on all pizza places menu. They arrived and were beautiful (strange words for pizza). Of course I had to try the two unusual ones first. Gosh they were good. I hate hard crusts edges but I even ate my wife's because the crust was perfect. Overall the atmosphere was very festive with lighted trees and great spacing of the tables without eating with your neighbor. High Hand did a great job and the next trip between Seattle and Huntington Beach will include another stop there.

This place is wonderful! So relaxing and some really cool plants you don’t see everywhere. The cafe is good, more atmosphere than amazing food, I’d still go back to eat just to be there.

Phenomenal sunday brunch at this quality earery and welcoming staff. Susan from the nursery offered to take our pictures and it was so nive to feel welcomed. We ate lunch with a reservation, the wait for ourside was 30 minutes i heard the front desk woman tell the people infront of us. The ambiance was Devine the food was a bit pricey but sooo good. The pizza is in a coal/wood fired oven. The mac n cheese was a bit fancy with what looked like a bechemel sauce. The tritip sandwich was on a pillowy roll that was toasted perfectly. For dessert we had ice cream sunday, root neer float and a banana bread pudding. Everything was amazing.

Been wanting to come here for a while and it was worth the wait. We went to the cafe first (make a reservation) and then meandered around and picked up a few plants. It's such a beautiful place that you could easily enjoy your whole morning and afternoon at.

Maybe I was there on a bad day for the staff, but my experience was nothing like the reviews posted here. Wait staff that was undermanned and indifferent at best to us. In the Garden area could they perhaps get a few smaller carts instead of either a massive trolley or nothing. The folks in the garden weren’t much help either. One put back the plants I was going to buy after I asked if I could keep them for 15 minutes in the register area while we looked around a bit more. He said sure. When we came back, the plants were gone and when the employee saw me, he turned around and disappeared. First visit ever and probably my last.

A fun place to check out! So many different plants and the gift shops are neat too. I like that there's a wall inside gift shop area that has historic photos and history.

The nursery part is amazing. Great flowers great plants and great prices. Ok now on to the cafe... I will start of and say the food of fantastic a definite must.. the service was so slow it took 40 minutes to get out food after we ordered it . Took about 12 minutes to get out drinks after we ordered them. I would of ordered another cocktail but didn't have the time to wait 30 minutes. Go for the food!! And make sure you have lots of time

STUNING STUNNING STUNNING We came from out of town Los Gatos headed to Rocklin to go to a funeral. We stopped in to buy a lemon tree for the family who lost their mother. My husband and I were in awe as to the beauty of this place. We had no idea all that it offered. We only had a few minutes but seriously could have spent a couple of hours in this place. It was laid out beautifully. The presentation, look and feel as you walk in gave you life. It is the most beautiful nursery my husband and I have ever walked into. I read the other post and while good doesn't touch how beautiful this nursery is. They have an amazing selection of not only plants, but trees, and pottery. If I had to say any negative, it was maybe they are short of help but we were able to do what we needed in short order and even did get help to load the car. When you do find the help, they were wonderful. It is my opinion, this is such an amazing spot that there are just so many customers. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE. So going back to meet my girlfriends for lunch soon. Good job team High Hand!

Always a great place to go if you want a bite to eat, sit and read a book or just want to walk around for a while. Lots of options if you're picking out stuff for your house. Very clean. The nursery is well manicured and all the staff goes out of the way to help you. If you go to the front Kiosk/shed you can ask for some Koi food, its free and it keeps the kids very entertained. The huge selection of succulents is beautiful and even a (build a bowl) area to create your own for an affordable price.

We were just there shopping for veggies. Had a cart with plants but could not find any workers or where to check out. Finally left the cart and then left the nursery.

This place is a diamond in the rough in the greater Sacramento area. We recently discovered that they opened a microbrewery maybe 3 months ago or so (we just found out about it), and we were really impressed! Really great ambiance/ decor, live music, a large flight sampler (12 beers?), and an expanding menu that leverages many of the options offered by the Cafe which we've been going to for years for their farm-to-table style offerings (their salads and dressings are terrific, as are the chips and artichoke dip). Fish pond is a nice touch and walking the grounds of the nursery is peaceful even if you don't buy anything.

Beware Caterpillar infested plants. Bought a Thyme plant and coleus plant upon our last visit that are infested with caterpillars. Both plants are kept inside and are quarantined. It's been a non stop battle of finding these caterpillars before they do more damage to the plants. Just when we think we've got them all more damage appears on plants. Never had this big of an issue when purchasing plants from a nursery.

Such a beautiful and fun place to go walk around, even if you aren't in the mood to buy anything. Took my toddler and she had a blast looking at the trees, flowers and the koi pond.

I was surprised by my childrenwith a retirment party in the outdoor garden dining room. The menu was unique and the food amazing. The vast majority of people at the party had never been to High Hand but they will be back! We were all impressed with the excellence and attention of the wait staff as well as the food. It was a hot day, but a series of strategically placed umbrellas and portable AC units made this party of 40 very comfortable.

This is quite strongly hyped as a must-experience brunch place. If, like me, your interests are not as horticultural as perhaps many, the wait for a table is not necessarily the browsing pleasure advertised. Finally seated, the choices are meagre and my breakfast burrito, delivered with our other two selections, is dry and disappointing. My wife loved her classic Eggs Benedict however, and my son was generally approving of his Banana Bread French Toast, but not overly impressed. Bottom line: if you're there for the nursery's charms, I hope they will overcome the possible disappointments of the cafe!

I have been trying to get someone to respond about a private event for over a month. My daughter wanted to have her graduation party here but after numerous calls and e-mails I can’t get a single response. The one time I was able to get a human on the phone they told me to email Chris. Well Chris doesn’t respond either. My daughter is sad because she thinks the venue is beautiful, but I can only imagine that trying to actually plan something with these people would be a nightmare!
