Really bad experience. For more details please read yelp review.. Do your research! Do not trust anything they say. Shop around odds are you will find a better deal and get straighter answers..Or, it’s we thought it had this, but really it has that and now there’s going to be an up charge after the deals already been done. Do not have them install anything. Paid them to install a trolling motor had to do it all again myself, because they simply couldn’t take the time to find out what was blowing the fuse.. They happily left that for me to ascertain. Had to go through the entire system myself. Turns out they put a 50 amp fuse where a 60 amp fuse should’ve been. Basically they’re negligent.Don’t buy the Luminal. Not worth it as you’ll keep having to deal with Auburn Outboard Marine. Shopping with them was a very frustrating & regretful experience.However, love boat now that it’s working!

My wife and I recently purchased a new boat. Mike and Maria assisted my wife and me without no hesitation. Oddly enough, my bank was the one who made everything difficult. However Mike and Maria refused to give up on us. Every single time I called me, he never gave up on me. I don't know how many times I called and texted him because of my bank. But Mike was polite and understanding to every one of my calls and texts. Maria emailed all the documentation that my bank needed and completed everything timely which we were so grateful for. When my wife and I were finalizing the paperwork in store, the staff were so kind. We were there with our little and my in-laws. I have to say this place is really family friendly as I had a 19 month old who just couldn't sit still. My wife had to go outside and let him run around and Maria came with cookies which really helped out my little man to calm down. Bob was so kind and assisted me in explaining the equipment that I needed. I felt like I was bugging him so much but he always smiled and assisted my family. I am a first time boat owner.. Funny enough, I have no clue how to operate the boat that I just purchased but Mario kindly explained how everything works on the boat. Before leaving, he even changed the propellor to make sure it was a right fit. Seriously customer service exceeds my expectations. Thank you to all staff at Auburn Outboard Marine for listening to my family and me and always making sure we leave with a smile. I cannot wait to come back to have a trolling motor installed. Thank you!!

My wife and I bought a new Alumacraft CompetitorShadow Series from them in 2020. Jeff our salesman delivered great service and spent the time answering all our questions making sure we'd be happy with our purchase. He told us the boat would be a "fish catching machine", which it definitely is! We also highly recommend their service department. We drive up from the Bay Area for servicing because of the quality of work. We definitely recommend Alumacraft boats and the Auburn Outboard Marine!

We had a repower done on our boat. The experience we had with Bob was exceptional. We feel he went above and beyond when helping us through the service. Mario was very informative and helpful in explaining the break in process and did an excellent installation.

In January 2019 Auburn Outboard set me up with an AlumaCraft 145 fishing skiff fully rigged with a 40HP Honda. The ISE special pricing was excellent. Mike's advice about trolling motor, outboard motor and electronics upgraded has proven to make a major difference in the performance and function of the boat. It is small - 14 1/2 feet - but can handle a wide range of water. I primarily fish in the Delta. I have often fished by myself and it is an easy boat for one person to launch and operate. I keep a log of trips and hours and the boat has never missed a beat after over 160 days on the water. I highly recommend the sales and service staff at Auburn Outboard and the AlumaCraft boats they offer.

I have a Honda outboard that’s been having issues. I took it to two other shops first and spend several thousand dollars. I was able to get into auburn outboard the next day after calling and Bobby took the reins. He really helped me a lot. I would really recommend just skipping the other placesThe tackle shop is awesome also. Tons of gear you can’t find anywhere else

Words can’t explain the service we got. We wanted to buy 2 outboard motors waited 3 weeks and had not had even had 1 follow up on the update on price, status etc… When we tried to reach out we were put on 10 minutes hold and phone cut off afterwards, When we visit the site all we were told is that they are working on it and wait til they were going to call us with a price. Than we decided to buy out of state since we found something in stock. Few months later came back to purchase accessories for those motors and wanted them to install since we were purchasing accessories with them, Same scenario occurred wasted 2 weeks waiting for a price with numerous follow ups from our side for later to be told that they were not making any money from those accessories and where blamed also for not purchasing the Motors whit them after 3 weeks of following up, store visits etc… The most unprofessional/humiliating, rude treatment, dishonest intention, experience we went thru. Sad would not recommend to anyone going thru that experience.

We just purchased a new boat here today. It was a last minute decision to buy one and wanted to take it home today. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were able to do so even though we came in at the end of the day, they didn’t skip any of the details in the purchase and even stayed late so we had full knowledge of our boats operating instructions. We now know that we chose the best place in our area to purchase our boat and will definitely use them for all of our marine needs. Thank you Auburn Outboard Marine.

Parts department Bob is very helpful. Bought my first boat there in fall 2018. I won't buy another one there and the next one won't be an Alumacraft. Live and learn. Like I said Bob is good and helpful but sales dept saw me coming.

Bought my boat 2 years ago. Got the boat I wanted ,all the options I wanted. Everything was installed and set up correctly, no problems. Great service, parts people that knows what they're doing. Talk to Mike or Bill they will definitely do you right.

Friend bought a new boat from here. Accessories took a long time, weeks to be installed and still never finished. Boat was purchased over 2 months ago and has only had the boat in possession for maybe 2 weeks of that time. Had an appointment to have accessories finished being installed and they have had it for a month still even with an appointment. Poor customer service, very poor communication, and poor excuses for why nothing is done. This place has had a bad reputation for a long time and now I see why.

They were the only dealer that had my boat in stock. They were very laid back and easy to work with. They stock many accessories and the prices weren't that bad. I knew what I wanted when I walked in there and they had it. I would definitely give them my business again.

Early June, I got my chance to purchase a 190 Explorer Boat. After 2 years of waiting, that dream came true.The boat was prepped and ready for me on June 19th. Sadly I had to attend a home going for my closest friends sister in Oakland on top of a meeting in Roseville for work. I called and told them I would be there but based on traffic I would arrive after closing. Maria in sales let k e know they would wait for me. 5:00 turned into 5:45 to 6:00pm. Michael the owner called me at 6:10 and asked what my ETA was. I said I would be there at 6:23pm. Michael and his staff stayed there until I arrived to do the paperwork and show me the details of the boat. I am so pleased with the customer service provided from day 1 and I thank everyone who played a part in making this dream come true.

These guys have been great. We had many issues with manufacturers being shut down and parts and pieces getting lost in the shuffle due to covid. Auburn outboard has gone above and beyond for me. They have personally taken care of every issue! I wouldn't buy a boat anywhere else.

He was very helpful during the ordering process and kept us updated on the final delivery date. Hearing bad things about a place that has always had a decent reputation in the Auburn area. Customer service is everything, and the owner of this shop should remember that. You don't yell at your customers and you should maintain open lines of communication no matter what. Leaving a customer hanging and not informing them of the issues with their unit is unacceptable. There are classes out there on how to communicate properly, take one you moron. If you want to be treated with respect find a different service shop.
