I washed my dog a few days ago and I want to commend all of the employees at this facility. I was the woman who smashed her little finger in the car door and Taylor and the other young people really helped me bandage up my finger so that I could go ahead and get my dog washed. Thank you so much for your help. It is much appreciated. I love this place, it's very easy to use the facility and I highly recommend it.

Frankly put , one of the best pet stores I've ever been to in my lifetime ! They have food and toys for every animal you can think of. A washing station to Wash your pets plus cages , lights and leashes for purchase . This is a nice clean friendly facility to visit

I don't recall ever having written a review, but I feel compelled to do so now. Alex gave my husband and me the best customer service we've ever experienced. Alex spent a lot of time explaining diet, vitamins, and hacks to entice our finicky rescue to eat. Alex was very knowledgeable, approachable, patient, and funny. After 6 months of stressful trial and error, our Mookie is very happy and finally eating well! We only wish we had come here sooner. Please give this man a raise and a promotion! Thank you so much Alex!

Great prices, great products, great service,and a great time for the Princess Pugs.I saw some folks said it was pricey, but I found the opposite to be true. The prices at pet food express were comparable to even the largest online store (you know who I am talking about). The price is way better than online pricing when you buy in bulk and get the buy 3 get 1 free deal.This was a really nice store with plenty of options and a great staff.Thank you Pet Food Express!

Good place to come for dog chews. My dog loves to chew so I come here when I haven’t ordered any yet - it’s a buy 3 get 1 free. Nice selection of items, I bought some dog sweaters on sale. I’ve also gotten a dog accessories. They do follow you around though. As soon as I step inside I’m like okay I’m just getting dog treats I wonder if they’re gonna follow me - op, yup, they’re gonna follow to see what I’m doing lol. I tried to see if they do that to everyone but I don’t really know. They are probably trying to keep people from stealing but it is funny/annoying. One time I was choosing collars and the employee literally stayed a few feet from me the entire time. I was cracking up.The dog baths are popular. I see people bring their dogs in all the time. They also used to do dog training but not anymore since covid. I wish they’d bring the trainings back. My dog needs to go back to school. There is a VIP petcare in the store as well which is super convenient for dog meds, checkups, etc.

They have most brands of dog and cat food but don't carry senior wet cat food. The staff is friendly and they have cat and puppy adoptions on Saturdays. Parking is shared with Trader Joe and other shops but there are enough spots. The price seems to be about the same as Petco and Petsmart.

Called ahead looking for item. We were told they had something similar to it, so we drove over. We headed in and were 2 of about 3 people in the store. There was 1 employee stocking next to bird area and 1 employee standing directly in the bird area. We looked and loudly said " I wonder where it is" " Maybe it's over here" and " we called and they said they had it.Not once did the employee say hi, acknowledge us or even attempt to ask if we needed help. I went back to the other employee and asked where the item was. They said we do not have anything here except for outside birds. If you are looking to shop without help or being bothered, go here. If you are looking for helpful people just go to Petco or Petsmart, which is what we ended up doing.

One of the “job highlights” of sales associates at Pet Food express is, "A warm and welcoming personality and a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service to all customers."I walked in to use the store Vet today, and when I was on my way out, standing around were two associates that have helped me for years. Today they were unwelcoming and ignored me. For years I have been buying pet food here, Fromm, Acana, Orijen premium kibble for small breeds, Weruva canned food and other high-end pet foods, treats and supplements.I said hello and got a delayed response back from one, nothing from the other, but clearly not “warm and welcoming” from either associates that have sold me countless packages and cans of high-end food for my deceased poodles and my newest poodle mix, a picky eater.Since the Pet Food Express shelf for Orijen Small Breeds was empty today, I’ll buy my 10 lb bag of Orijen on Amazon and skip the snarky attitude of these sales people at Pet Food Express.

One of Long Beach's hidden gems. I've had trouble finding variety of flavors in my dog's wet food but not anymore. I stock up on the wet food for my pug puppies and they love the Orijen puppy canned food! There's also a salmon canned food, i forget the brand name, but it's right next to the First Mate salmon canned food and my puppies love that one too! I've gone to Petco to look for wet food and it's so difficult to find food that picky dogs will eat.The staff there has great customer service as well. They try their best to help out and answer questions a customer might have. Since 2 weeks ago this has become my go-to spot for canned dog food. I highly recommend it.

Love this place! Very nice, organized, and clean! Speaking of which, you can come and Wash your dog here! Mostly I was impressed with the sales people though! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and actually LISTEN to you in order to truly Help you get what you need. BTW, Pam is awesome and has a vast knowledge of anything RAW and or Natural for your fur-babies! I'll definitely be coming back!

Love this place so much!!! Big inventory and very nice, helpful, and informed staff! I've brought one of my dogs in to get her cleaned- the self wash area is very well kept and has everything you need conveniently handy (especially aprons for you!). Staff members are always ready to help and are definitely well versed on things such as food brands and pet care supplies. Pet and people friendly for sure!

Great experience, went to check out the dog rescue Ozzie and Friends Org. Great cause and good operation with adopting... The store itself had a lot of different products and was very clean. Would love to take our puppy to the store to try the self-wash.

Love the self serve dog wash here. Big tubs that are easy for my big goldens to get in and out. We always come here after going to Rosie’s Dog Beach.Staff is always friendly and helpful. Bath area is appropriately social distanced and cleaned after every customer. There’s a selection of shampoos, some with conditioner, some without, and includes the option of the blow dryer.Since we come here regularly, we buy 4 wash tokens at a time to take advantage of their Buy 3, get one free offer.

This place is awesome. Its clean, bright and has a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are very knowledgeable and always have a smile on their face. The full service spa is really convenient and has a variety of shampoos to choose from. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

This is so much fun to shop as a human, and I can't imagine how much pets enjoy it. I came in looking for toys for my cat plus gifts for my friend's pets and found everything, including two things I hadn't seen before. Prices were reasonable, and I was happy to see they even had a small animal section :) Great place to go for pet gifts!

With each visit I am more impressed with the knowledge of the staff. The team members are amazing. My dog is EXTREMELY finicky and has food sensitivities making it difficult to always find something he will like. Thank you Charlie for introducing me to a new brand. In transitioning him the step you shared, beyond mixing a small portion of the new food into the old, worked - thank you. And he likes the food!

Great place for buying food that will keep your dog healthy. It's really pricey though. We gotta pay so much to stay and be healthy. I wish the prices we're reasonable. U can also walk in & bathe your dog and dry them for around $15. They even supply u with what u need and clean up after u. Great customer service.

The staff is amazing and it’s awesome they have a local rescue there every weekend to help support rescue dogs and cats. I definitely recommend checking them out. They have an enormous selection of food for both cats and dogs, dry and raw food as well, and even have a self serve dog wash ! How cool is that.

I had an incredible experience at the Pet Food Express store. The Ladies by the name of Fanny and Charlie were extremely helpful and very informative. Love this place!! I've been getting my food for my dog and cat there for over a year. They live it! The staff is always friendly. They are very knowledgeable! I've learned a lot through them. They really take their time with you. They promote a raw diet which is fantastic. My cat and dog have benefited so much! Their costs are super shiny and silky. They don't shed. They look and feel great. My cat loves the tiki brand. You can see actual shrimp in it. That brand is the real deal. It's pricey but I I'm know she's getting REAL food vs bad food that will make her ill. They have huge sinks where you can bathe your pets in. Also adoptions held every weekend or every other weekend :)

Super knowledgeable staff! Helpful to say the least!My dog had a couple of accidents and the guys were cleaning in a moment's notice....(without the bad and uncomfortable attitude you get at other places) The food there is unique and healthy, won't ever go back to other pet food stores....
