This little tiny pet store is squeezed right between a dollar store and a rite aid, on spring Street. I would have never walked by if it wasn't for picking up medication.It was a cold day, and I don't know what happened to me but I looked to my left and I saw this little gray fuzzy ball, in the corner of the pet shop, and it was this little gray dude, with his little sister, and for several minutes I couldn't do anything except stare and become deeply moved, I honestly don't know what happened.I saw this innocent little angels that had been rescued from the streets of downtown Long beach, some of their brothers and sisters hadn't made it, they were the last two.They were cuddled with each other kind of like the yin and yang sign.. and as I looked at these little fuzzy balls of angel fluff something told me that I must do everything in my power to bring them home.Now they have a sister, and three kinds of food, reverse osmosis filtered water, the best litter, and outdoor balcony with multiple cat trees.... And they are enjoying their lives after going through so much.I wanted to say thank you to the paw shoppe pet center for giving these little babies a chance, giving them a temporary home until I could finally give them everything they deserved truly.The owner or manager of the store gave me a very heavy discount on the pair of cats as well, as well as a free bag of food and a small consultation concerning the welfare of the animals.I promised him and his staff that I would send them pictures of the cats growing up.The pet store itself is a little small, and they have a niche stock so you probably won't find stuff that you would find in a Walmart at this store. It's more premium things.But I found everything..And Hadley and Freya are a chillin nowFive 🤩

I’ve gone to the Paw Shop for 15 years. Always great service, welcoming atmosphere, and the owners have helped me navigate all of the pets my family has had over the years (cats, dogs, rats, and a rescue lizard from our backyard).Also, highly recommend their dog grooming services - especially Samantha. I have a white poodle mix, and Sam always manages to get the dog’s fur a bright shade of white that I can never manage on my own.

Paw Shoppe is always wonderful!!! The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Even when I’m not making a purchase just stopping by to see the birds, cats or other critters for sale. Their prices are good for a small store. They are always my first stop and my first recommendation to anyone looking for pet supplies.

Over the years Paw Shoppe has food for specific health issues for cats that's difficult to find. (Kidney for one). NOT interested in Hills formulas, so very pleased with this store. My 23 yr old "kitty" is happy as well!

Love this place. I go here for my dog and cat food as my dogs have diary restrictions and my cats are even worse. I have also started using their groomer exclusively as he took the time to get to know my special needs dog and had an amazing relationship with her. This pace is the best and their groomer is above and beyond!

My wife and I love this shop. This is the only place locally that carries the brand of high quality food out dogs eat. They have a great selection of pet foods, birds, rabbits, and some reptiles too. The staff is helpful and always remembers us. Prices are comparable to the larger chain stores but it's always nice to shop small businesses when you can.

The people here are so nice and the customer service is great. They’ve got everything you’d need for your pet. They take great care of their animals. I got my pet rat, as well as her food, cage, and bedding from there. It’s in a great area too, next to a variety of stores. Definitely shop for your pets here!

This place is the best! Excellent customer service. I really enjoy shopping here and even just stopping in with my kids to say hi and check out the birds, fish, and reptiles. Great place to get my pups nails trimmed at a super good price. I feel it's very important to support local small businesses and they totally earn every bit of it.

I'm glad I found this place!! My cats are super finnicky. I found Inventory to be problematic at another Pet Shop I had been going to - but here, I don't ever have to worry about that, they always have plenty! Plus they carry other brands I had never heard of before with many new flavors my cats are loving. These are great brands with natural ingredients (not the usual pate muck). They love "Fussie Cat", "Tiki Cat" & "Against the Grain". I even got recycled material Lavender Scented poopie bags for the litter box! I have happy cats! Thank you!
