This is a real reptile store 🔥 When I first walked in I froze, unsure if I was gonna be eaten like in Jurassic Park 😆 but after I assessed it was safe I brought my husband, 3 year old and 1 year old daughter in from the car and had the coolest tour from the owner. We left with a 3 month old beautiful and docile baby python snake for my toddler, her first pet 🐍 next time I'm going to convince my husband to get a Water Monitor 😂

You guys want an honest opinion about the shop not on no bias things . Truthfully jtkreptiles is a really good shop as I read the bad and good comments one thing you guys can say is he always remembers his customers where the experience was good or bad. There’s a lot of comments complaining about animal dirtying there cages if you guess wanna stop by and help you guys can always . It’s a lot of work trying to care for all those animals it’s only two people and every one acknowledges that. So give the shop some slack man they’re trying and they’re giving you guys the best quality of animals around enjoy it while it’s around cause in some places you don’t get that same opportunity. Jtkreptiles you guys keep doing what you’re doing . Blessing to all reading this along the way . Both animals where bought from the shop and I’m pleased with both animals and will be back for more❤️💯

Terrible care of the animals here. I’m guessing most of the positive reviews are from newer reptile owners. For future reference this place is a horrible example of a reptile store. First off, it smells awful right as you walk in, so clearly it is not sanitary. As you look in the reptile enclosures, you see thin, dehydrated reptiles with poop and urine all over the bottom of their cages with dim lighting and small enclosures. We tried to find the owner and eventually he came out after about 10 mins. He was live-streaming and did not even care that we were in the store. He clearly cares more about his marketing and flashy expensive reptiles than the actual care of them. This is an awful example of a reptile store and this owner clearly does not care.

Wide variety of animals, but the place REEKS of feces and urine. The owner was too busy with his livestream to even acknowledge our existence. Dimly lit, no water in the bowls, clearly dehydrated and thin animals. I don’t plan on purchasing from here.

This is the best pet shop in so cal hands down. The owner (Bryan) is the coolest down to earth mf ever and very knowledgeable when it comes down to his reptiles. To keep it simple you will get a better experience at JTK reptiles than the zoo. They just earned a new customer for life

Friendly staff got my mices to feed my picky pacman. They have many cool displays and a giant tortist right by the door. I liked the many plants displayed by the door.

I had a great experience at JTK Reptiles. Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a huge variety of reptiles. I took home this beautiful ‘queen bee’ ball python today. I’m very excited to watch him grow! Thanks JTK Reptiles!

Since 2018 the animals have been kept in dirty, cramped conditions often without adequate water. I have purchased several feeder rats over the years that were ill. Cropping dog’s ears is wrong as well. I refuse to support a business that cannot provide basic care for their animals. I stopped going awhile back and it’s sad to see nothing has changed.

Just went to this reptile shop in Long Beach best customer service, very knowledgeable and really great price. I love the there animals and how well behaved they are. The owners are very attentive to you need and all the questions that you may have for you reptiles. I recommend this this place 100%. Thanks again guys ❤️❤️❤️❤️. the reptiles really enjoy being with my kids.

The animals here all seem miserable. Their cages are dirty. They don't have water. It just feels generally over crowded and icky. If you care about animals, you'll leave here with a broken heart

Went here today they have an amazing selection of all reptiles.. We Bought a Beautiful Bearded Dragon, My daughter's in love 😍 .. The prices are reasonable and the staff is awesome you can totally tell they enjoy there job, and very knowledgeable. great with kids..made my daughter excited 😁 Would totally recommend 👌

I always go here. He's good for everything your reptile needs! Prices are great too! My beardie died 2 days ago so I was wanting to get a red beardie. Brian knows his stuff and led me to the perfect Red baby beardie!

Stopped by to look at a snake. Store was really dirty and smelled like death. Lots of flies throughout the store. We were told on the phone the snake was for sale and fine. When we got the store the worker pulled the box for us to see and it looked like the body was sunken. She quickly took it to the back to “soak the snake”. When she came back she said it was no longer for sale. I have a feeling it wasn’t holding on very well. They don’t seem to take very good care of the reptiles.

We didn’t buy anything- we came so put daughter could get information about the bearded dragon for her school report and the guy there was so knowledgeable and generous with his information. My daughters were into all the reptiles- if we are going to buy one- it would be from him.

The best go to live feed and Reptile shop in town! 🦎 Very knowledgeable couple owned Business. I enjoy coming the animals look very happy and tame! My son loves coming here it's like a mini zoo. Their super worms/ mealworms are bigger then PetSmart FYI and cheaper 👌

Great Pet shop, the best in Long Beach and Southern California. Great service, knowledge and variety of reptiles and feeders etc... The Owner is a very nice, friendly helpful man and so is his wife and staff. They readily answered ALL of my family's and my questions. Very patient, kind, professional. Their excellent assortment and variety of reptiles is great. I highly recommend it and will continue to do business with them. I love their honesty, patience, knowledge and how they make you feel at home. I give them 10 SOLID STARS out of 10!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I cried actual tears leaving this shop, I have never seen a store in this bad of shape. The conditions of the store are inhabitable for humans let alone reptiles or amphibians. It reeks of urine, so badly that you can smell it from outside the front door - I have no idea how the young lady working inside could even stand to be inside - must be used to it from long term exposure.... Majority of the reptiles were agitated and seemed hungry and more than half of the habitats had ZERO water (it is 77 degrees outside as I type this - can't even imagine the temperature inside the tiny store that is overcrowded) . The ones that did have water were miniscule amounts and so filthy that the water was brown or black, could not even see the reptile that was in the water and it was only an inch deep. The toad tanks they had only had about 3/4 inch of water in them and nothinf else. They were receiving a delivery of food for the reptiles (rats) that were not bagged or in any container at all, right in front of the store. It's not a shock that someone eles pet has gotten ill after purchasing feed here... this store clearly does not have animal interest at heart just their wallet. They do have some exotic animals but I could never imagine supporting a "business" that can't take animal rights seriously. My heart hurts today. I hope that you find somewhere else to support and spend your hard earned $. Such a bad representation. 👎 I wish I could have given 0 stars and will be reporting this business.

This place is amazing! I have purchased bearded dragons, ball pythons, and just got my first turtle from them and all of them were reasonably priced and most importantly healthy and well taken care of. Bryan is always so helpful and gives great advice. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking to get a reptile!

I don't leave reviews often but my experience needs to be shared, had some bad luck with a Burmese Python that I recently purchased. Without question Brian replaced my Python, even though this is expected it isn't common unfortunately. Brian, I want to thank you and your staff, you will continue to thrive with this business model, your knowledge, and honesty. I will be back my Friend.

Just a thought. Have any of the unsatisfied customers report all the problems they see in this store to Animal Control? That's why Animal Control exists.P. S. Are all these exotic animals brought into the United States legally? Just curious.

Bryan is the best!! His store feels like you’re at home and his heart is in the right place, he truly cares for the reptiles. I bought my bearded dragon couple days ago and had tons of questions and he was very happy to answer all 1000 of my questions lol. I highly recommend you check his store out for any of your reptile needs!!
