Let me tell you by no means is this an exaggeration. This is THE place for hardware in the U. S. of A. The fasteners available in this area was just outrageously impressive. You find things you need, you didn’t need, need in the future, heck, even in the past! They got U.S. Standard, coarse and fine. Metric, with finer threads on the more larger sizes, but practically almost any size you need for exported vehicles. Grade 8, Grade 5, STAINLESS STEEL (in metric and standard!), black alloy, all threads, nuts with flanges, castles, nylocks… you get the idea.With such a large assortment of bolts, you ask yourself, “How am I going to find what I need?” Well you can hold that question by asking their excellent staff! A very knowledgeable crew from head to toe that sure gives even better advice than what you’d get on that YouTube and Tiktok. They go above and beyond with assisting you and are very friendly, but please be patient! Sometimes I get in there and the employees are swamped with customers. Just goes to show how helpful they can be.Overall fantastic and tidy shop, but it could use a clean up and overall update to store shelves and what not but that’s asking for a lot. This store goes even beyond fasteners and sell fantastic equipment from drill bits, taps, dies, exquisite plumbing department and nice electric units.

This place is quick and easy to find whatever you need!! They have most all your hardware, and they have cool accessories to buy near the cashier. There are very friendly staff that will help you find what you need. Check out this hardware store in Long Beach!! GREAT HARDWARE STORE!!!

This is my go-to place for hardware. Good prices and the selection is second to none. This place puts all other hardware stores to shame for hard to find hardware.

Its in my neighborhood so its I give them 5 stars for being, I cant think of another way of putting this other then, thank you for being open in that decrepit environment and in the city's defense it has improved but we're not there yet unfortunately but anyway thank you for being the only hardware store in this area your number 1

A great place for Stainless Steel screws, nuts and bolts, including oddball sizes. They also carry plastic and aluminum screws, in addition to regular types. Good selection of other hardware and plumbing supplies as well. They also carry some V belts.

WE have had some bad luck in having keys duplicated with the Pandemic and Locksmiths now not doing duplicates or working out of satellite locations. At GSA True Valie Jesus (Key Dept) is awesome, great customer service, expedited our request to have duplicate keys made, very efficiently done. Definitely will recommend to other associates.

Excellent, consulted me for my problem. Detailed instructions for free, bolt extractor kit for only 5 dollars. Successfully removed rusted bolt from transmission. The best!

This hardware store has THE BEST selectiom of stainless steel nuts, bolts & screws of any store in the harbor area. Brass? Bronze? Samething, huge selection. I needed #4 × 3/8" screws in stainless steel, they had them, nobody else did. This is my favorite hardware store.

I gave my original Bolt too this knucklehead who was supposed to help find me a replacement Bolt he threw my original part in the one of the bins and lost it then he tells me he doesn't have it. took me 15 minutes digging through the bolts to find it. Eventually I did get my replacement Bolt with help from another store employee a different head than my original Bolt but it will work.

This place maintains a LIBRARY of fasteners: steel, stainless steel, chrome-plated (for the Harley crowd, I'm told), brass, Delrin, aluminum, I think some bronze.... (Amazing what a few stainless fasteners will do for a hum-drum home repair project.) You won't find any of that blister-packed, "if you need six you'll have ninety-four left over" stuff, either. Pull a small paper bag from the top of the pile and pick a stubby pencil from the box. Put your fasteners in the bag, one by one. Write down the items and prices on the side of the bag. Put the pencil back in the box for other members of this exclusive, discerning club; and head for the cash register. Just like dad did it. Or grand-dad.And for god's sake, put everything you don't take back exactly where you found it--unless some knucklehead before you obviously put it back in the wrong box, and you can do better.Ask yourself: Can you? Really? Be honest! It can be harder than it looks. At first you're shocked--Shocked!--to see mixed-up fasteners which could so easily be put right. It's not your fault, but you've somehow inherited or taken on the responsibility.But one does not simply walk to the correct fastener size. Soon the Socket Head Cap Screw of Power weighs ever more heavily in your hand. It burns your flesh. When you close your eyes, all you can see is a flaming hex wrench, slowly turning. A baleful Eye sweeps toward you, watching for shoplifters; pauses; but is distracted. If you ever meet Frodo Baggins, the two of you will have something to talk about.These shelves bear mute testimony to the social contract.The GSA True Value staff may not want you to know that if you are reasonably suave and want a couple hundred items, you just might be able to talk them into special ordering something for you. Or at least that used to work.You'll also find small pieces of sheet metal, threaded rod, etc. back in that corner. If you don't have a clever, finicky project in mind when you enter, you'll feel inadequate. Keep browsing until something speaks to you, suggesting a project you didn't know was on your list.This is hardware satori.I wonder if nerds shopped in places like this during the steam age, before the invention of radio, transistors, and all that's come since sent them looking for solder, electronic components, heat-conducting grease, and wire strippers. I imagine the GSA True Value fastener section could have been surgically removed from the steampunk analog to Fry's Electronics. (I use the word "analog" advisedly.)The tool selection along the wall near the entrance looks good. For me, timing and need haven't yet coincided; but thinking about that reminds me to go here more often. The same goes for plumbing supplies. It appears they pack a wide variety into limited space. Finally, they've got a good selection of all the basic neighborhood hardware store stuff. Even a few cans of paint.Used to be I found a panhandler in the parking lot outside, with an allegedly broken-down vehicle one part or tool shy of returning him to his forlorn wife and children, Every. Single. Time. Always a different guy, too, as if some convergence of ley lines summoned them. Not for a while, though. No idea why; just nature's ebb and flow.

This True Value has decent prices, the staff is very friendly and personable. Store is smallish and was a little disorganized when I was there, but all in all, I would go back to shop.

If you have a small household project this store might be able to work for you, anything that requires larger quantity or more selection of product you will have to go to a big box store.
