The atmosphere was hella amazing and nature-like. The drive there and back was calm and beautiful and with food on top of it. Definitely a spot you'd need to check out.Parking: Parking can be very tricky when it's crowded.

A gem of a place in the middle of the forest. While driving from the coast to the city we came across this place and had to stop and get a coffee.They have a range of pasties, coffee and even food. We ordered golden milk latte, and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is not the rich chocolate which I’m used to and was disappointed. The golden milk latte was good though with turmeric, ginger and cardamom.The ambiance of this place won us over. A quite place to have a chat with friends or read books while enjoying a warm drink and a wide selection of yummy pastries.

Tucked away past towering conifers, Loma Mar Store is a idealic country store. We ate the grilled cheese, tater tots, ginger mushroom tofu soup, and the last steak and stilton pie. The pie and soup were outstanding, and everything else was very good. Menu items run out, but the staff was upfront and told us what they still had.

Amazing market and restaurant. Food was delicious crab sandwich, Ruben, and duck tacos were fantastic. Ruben had great flavors with perfectly toasted bread. Duck tacos are a perfect little snack lots of flavor. Crab sandwich was crunchy toasted sourdough fresh crab with melted cheese. Nice local items in the store always glad to help out the local community. The husband and wife that run it are so kind and welcoming. Very generous and very knowledgeable about the local surrounding area. Take time to stop and get an ice cold beer and bite to eat.

I used to frequent the Loma Mar store decades ago when, living in the San Francisco Bay Area, I would bike through the coastal hamlet en route to the South Coast Region once or twice a week. Returning lately, a couple years since the famed remodel, I was so pleased to see that my old haunt is greatly improved, with a beautiful new structure made, in part, from reclaimed wood, and a kind, friendly staff eager to be of service and reminisce about the good ol’ days. Whether you’re a local resident or an out-of-town visitor, this historic marketplace is truly special, an oasis for travelers near and far, providing heathy, hearty food, be it a brief stop on a scenic drive or a much needed respite on a multi-hour bike ride. For such a small town as Loma Mar, which is home to but a couple hundred people, this one-off gathering place is exceptional, and I am truly impressed with the quality and depth of items offered, including a number of familiar brands from Colorado, e.g. Boulder, IZZI, etc. So, if you’re in the area, be sure to stop by and grab a bite to eat; frankly you’ll be glad you did, for it’s quite unique, a cozy cottage of a store nestled in a lovely forest setting.

This place is a nice quiet and hidden little gem. I frequent this place when I go out riding for the weekend. Pescaadero Creek Rd is a beautiful ride/drive from highway 1. The breakfast sandwich is amazing and so is the grilled cheese. Worth the trip for sure. Update new menu item biscuits and gravy they use chorizo so delicious. And every baked good is delicious.

Situated halfway between the town of La Honda and Pescadero on the coast the Loma Mar store offers a respite for cyclists and others. They have great coffee and local pastries, as well as quiche, soup, salad, wraps, and hand made pies (large empanadas). Food is tasty, but they don’t make sandwiches or others things to order. They have beer on tap and in bottles. The Deschutes beer on tap was excellent. Next time you are riding/ driving to the coast try the place. Nice deck also. Eclectic offering of nonalcoholic drinks (no Powerade or Gatorade for the cyclists but they have Nuun electrolyte tablets.)

The Loma Mar Store is now officially open! If you find yourself over the hill in the coast near Pescadero, you should visit this historic store. You’ll find an amazing treasure of homemade baked goods and friendly service and wonderful hand crafted coffee beverages. The thought that wen into the design of this facility is second to none. From the comfy seating areas, to the well stocked shelves, you’ll quickly feel at home and want to hang out for an hour or two.Owners Kate and Jeff have poured their hearts into this place and it truly shows. I urge you to grab a bite and beverage when you are over this way. It’s worth the trip to find this gem.

I was having a really really bad morning and was feeling super invisible to the world today. The owner was running the register and working very hard and took the time to notice I was upset. The Loma Mar Store & Kitchen is fantastic! A lovely building, excellent scenery, great food, and friendly folks. In fact, I'll say it twice: the food is fantastic! Super delicious and fresh. Very surprising to find out in the middle of the woods. It doesn't get much better than a visit to Loma Mar on a nice day. I'm definitely making a point to come back here from now on.

Been here a few times now. Great little store/cafe. Love their Ruben sandwich. Employees are friendly and the atmosphere is great. Prices aren't the cheapest but it's acceptable for the location and supporting a small business. They have beers on tap as well as homemade non-alcoholic beverages. Highly recommend

This little kitchen is absolutely DELICIOUS. I go down to Pescadero State Beach almost every weekend and this place is only about a 10-15 minute drive from there. I went once to try it out and the food was so good I've gone back every time since then (and brought friends!) The employees are friendly and excited to make the stay as pleasant and tasty as possible. The most recent time I went, they served pickles with the sandwiches (a new touch that only improved upon the already wonderful food) and the pickles were very tasty and special! Definitely seemed homemade. A really nice touch.I recommend the Reuben and the crab melt - both are so tasty that I recommend bringing a friend and going half-and-half!
