Was a good store until 3-4 years ago. Ordered food for Thanksgiving to be delivered. The order never arrived. Spoke to one customer service who said the order wasn’t filled and would have someone from the store call me in 1hr. 2 hrs later I called and was told there was no order at all.March 2024 I ordered several items for delivery thinking I would give the store another chance. The tomatoes were mushy one had a worm hole , the asparagus was wilted and smelled bad and two other items weren’t even what I ordered.I can’t imagine the shopper would have picked the produce for themselves why would they think someone else would want that disgusting stuff.The couple times I’ve been in the store the employees have been completely rude. Checkers would carry on conversations with off duty employees. An older guy in the deli refused to slice lunch meat at told me to get the packaged stuff off the shelf. Watched same guy getting carts take a Starbucks cup out of a basket and throw it on the ground slashing all over a parked car. I use to swear by Safeway. I will not set foot in the parking lot now.

Very rude customer service. I have shopped at this Safeway since it opened and am not a happy customer after my most recent visit.I have the Safeway app, I use it while I’m not in the store because it can’t be accessed inside the store. Many times Safeway has “In store” coupon deals that I can’t access so as previously instructed by the store I take a picture of it on my phone and present it to the clerk at check out which was the case on my last visit however I was dealing with a newer clerk that told me I can only use the digital coupon by downloading it to the app, I explained that I can’t open the app in the store and she said let me show you how……I’m not an imbecile, I know the app can’t be opened in the store as I always try to open the app thinking “maybe this time it will work” which was the case in last visit. I told the clerk the app won’t open and she told me the coupon is invalid then. Every time I take a picture of the in store coupon and presented it to the clerk it has been honored for years and almost every time the clerk says” ya, the Safeway app never works in the store. I ended up paying full price for items because some clerk knows more than all the previous clerks. I ended losing out on about $6.00 in savings.I now exclusively shop at Raley’s down the street.

I go there all the time for self checkout and it’s normally really convenient for me since I work close but I like doing the surveys it prompts , but the lady there buts in and clicks all 10 and yes for me. I was shocked because if Safeway is instructing their employees to falsely report good reviews through the self checkout, then the integrity of the company is failing. When I said I like to do them ,the reviews, myself the employee stated she likes to help by skipping through it for her customers. It seems sketchy and forced. Made me uncomfortable.

I've been shopping at Safeway Supermarket for over a year now, and I have to say, it's one of the best grocery stores in my area. The store is always impeccably clean, well-stocked, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.One of the things I appreciate most about this store is the variety of products available. They have a wide range of organic and locally sourced products, a wonderful bakery section, and an impressive selection of wines. The fresh produce section is always bursting with a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.The customer service at Safeway is top-notch. The staff are always willing to guide you to a specific item you're looking for and they're very knowledgeable about the products they sell. The checkout process is also fast and efficient, even during peak hours.Another thing worth mentioning is their Just for U rewards program. It offers significant savings and the Safeway app makes it easy to clip digital coupons and keep track of your rewards.The store also has convenient operating hours, making it easy for me to do my shopping, whether it's early in the morning or late at night. The parking lot is spacious, so finding a parking spot is never a problem.In conclusion, I highly recommend Safeway Supermarket for your grocery needs. It combines quality products, a wide selection, excellent customer service, and a clean, pleasant shopping environment. It's a five-star experience every time!

Safeway is a great choice for buying high quality goods and produce. While it is quite expensive, it makes up for it by providing high-quality, delicious food, with a variety of selection upon popular, name brand items, as well as reputable generic and lesser known brands. The store is equipped with a a selection of services, including a florist corner, a butcher shop full of fresh meat and cheeses, a bakery, a pharmacy, a starbucks, a buffet, and more. The bread here is exceptional in taste and texture and uncommon for a general grocery store. To top it all off, this store has a wide range of people from different backgrounds whom strive to make your shopping experience the best it can be. I have very good friends who work here that are absolute angels and make the experience the best it can be. If you have the time, I highly recommend stepping in just to look around or considering one of this stores fine products.

The worst cashier. I accidentally entered my rewards card number incorrectly and she made a big deal about having to “start over” for me to get the discounts. I asked her to cancel the transaction and she was rude and told me it was my fault because I entered the wrong number. On a purchase that was over $300, the discount would have been significant I will NEVER shop at this store again. The Safeway in Jackson is cleaner and the team that works there is helpful and friendly.

I'm a customer here! so no, I'm not ever going to leave a moldy tray unclean ever. sorry, sas. If a customer see moldy near their food. they might be disinclined to purchase the products anyways. I know I lost my appetite after that moldy experience. But all clean now. -_- thanks to mè... mostly....

Didn't appreciate the check out lady giving me a hard time because my ID was out of state (I'm in my 40's so come on, look at it and let's get on with it). Then she's got to give me a hard time about the bags I didn't have. Then would have not given me $30 in club card discounts had I not mentioned that I had a number from when I used to live in communist CA. It was a good reminder of why I left.

I really like the evening staff and cashier's! There knowledge of knowing exactly where hard to find products are stored is amazing. The staff seem to be most satisfied with employment at this Safeway as it shows with the customer service they provide. Has your day not been one of the better ones? I suggest if you have a grocery store stop before home, stop on by here! There outstanding friendly customer service most certainly will make a huge difference! Best of shopping wishes to all!🌻

Safeway on Pacific Avenue in Stockton Ca has the friendliest staff, especially in the deli.The best time to shop is Wednesday, the first day of sales ad, you get a freeby and earn more points towards your rewards.$5 Friday are awesome!

I only needed flowers....the day before Easter (really picked over) 🙄I did ask Cecilia in florial for help cleaning up the sad flowers, and she helped (I gave her a 5 rating!!) She put the flowers in a new plastic wrap and a beautiful salmon color bow around the wrap!! Thanks to her, they weren't sad any longer!

I drove to Safeway to buy sliced Boarshead meat from the deli. I was turned away at 6:45 pm telling me that it was too late to get meat sliced. Are you kidding me? Some people work during the day. Time to find a new store and deli. Website says deli is open for business until 9 pm. Misleading and false advertising.

This is a nice store, only lacking in a wider variety of hot foods to go. The selection is wide and the store is typically clean. I haven't had a poor experience with any of the folks who work there -- all are friendly and make the effort to be helpful. It also hosts a Starbucks kiosk.

Even though there price's are a little higher, you get what you paid for.I buy all my produce at Safeway, because it's the best I have found. I have never had a problem with it. The bakery never disappoints me, it's always great. They have a wonderful deli, the Chinese food I love it. Put it this way, I go in with my list of a few items and come out with my cart full.😁 Safeway always has great sale's each week to. They also have a pharmacy that's very convenient when you're in a hurry. They have Lotto, cater to disabled customers, lots of checkout lines and very polite knowledgeable employees.

I understand that hundreds of people visit grocery stores everyday but I don't like the fact that if you go in there after 8:00 p.m. there's like nothing on the shelves it's your job to be a grocery store and to have groceries no matter how many people come in throughout the day you should always have people stocking shelves because if you don't sell the products how are you going to make money?

The bakery has gone way down in quality. The best sale prices are often through coupons, which is an extra hassle for customers. Really hate those gimmicks like Monopoly which slows down the line while cashiers have to count out game pieces to customers who waste their time with it.

What the hell is the problem with keeping Lemon Sorbet in stock?? Two brands are supposed to be sold there, but for the past few months they have been out of it. Is there something I don’t know about? This is so frustrating!!

When I got to Safeway there was no one in the front of the store and when I asked for help they seemed to be bothered by me. I had a problem with self checkout and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to help me so l left with out my food and went someplace else. I have always loved all Safeways that I have visited and was surprised with the service. I was disappointed but I try to remember everyone has bad days.

Ran in to get a few items I had forgotten for Thanksgiving. To my delight cranberry sauce was just inside the door, milk, eggs and butter were all in the same area so I didn't have to cross the entire store to find them. Self check out was fast and easy. Five stars.

I don't shop to much but on occasion I normally frequent another store. This time I went with my wife and found this place is pretty good. Nice store with great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as seafood. Found fresh wild caught Salmon fellets and a great sandwich from the deli, Chinese food looks good to. 👍

I moved to Lodi in June and today was my third time visiting this store. I’m disappointed with the quality of their produce at this location, twice now I’ve gotten home only to find the berries I’d just purchased are molded, the store itself seems fairly clean but you have to be careful of expired or nearly expired items especially in the dairy section. My first trip I got home with cottage cheese that the “best by date” was that same day, this is usually a couple weeks away minimum with cottage cheese. Same issue with yogurt on 2 occasions. I’ve never had a problem with Safeway in the past which is the only reason I gave them multiple chances but it just seems the norm for this store.

The store itself is fine, but my car was broken into and my belongings stolen while I shopped. There was no security patrol that I could find.Update: that was 3 years ago, and there have been no issues since then for me. I quite enjoy that whole shopping center.

I adore this store. When you walk in flowers so many flowers! It smells lovely. Prices are somewhat high but you expect such from Safeway. Yesterday my mate and I got a seven layer bean dip (one of those store made deals) along with a slue of other things but that bean dip was delicious... and made us sick. I was throwing up all night and my mate went to work today looking pale and feeling all those things you feel with food poisoning.
