My husband drove there to make an appointment and they took our little doggy right in. We discovered they take walk in's. He looks so cute with his summer cut! The owner introduced herself and her daughter who groomed our dog. Nice clean shop, friendly staff be and plenty of parking.

A mobile groomer was what I needed. Another groomer who wasn't taking on new customers had recommended Country Clippers. This review pertains to the PRE-VISIT. My dogs' appointment was scheduled for this Saturday when I called their number. Wednesday is today. I'm pleased that there is only a 3-day wait. After our initial contact was disconnected, Genola called me again. Thank you for being professional. I explained that my dog is prone to anxiety, and she reassured me that I didn't have to offer him anything in exchange for it and that they had experience dealing with anxious dogs of his breed. She also said not to be concerned.

I took my two fluffy cats here yesterday because they kept getting matted. Country Clippers shampooed them and gave them nice lion cuts. They even put a cute purple bandana on one of my kitties. I have been taking my cats to them for several years and highly recommend. My kitties even smell good.

She was extremely rude and made me uncomfortable we Had told her we were going to be late she had told us that would be fine. We tried calling several times before driving 45 minutes to make sure it’s OK we still came we got no answer. We decided to chance it since they take walk-ins when we got there she wouldn’t even let us through the door and came out rudely saying you are 3hours late I’m not taking your dogs..I understand being late but her rude demeanor will not be bringing my business back.

They always do a good shampoo and furstyle on my kitties. My babies have the cutest teddy bear cuts and their coats are shiny. I can tell my cats are much more comfortable with their shorter fur.

Blaming Covid for not taking an atm card, wanting cash, was just the opposite of the state rule I heard. Dogs were clean but very chopped. The bows put in, when taken out, left a chopped mess like a kid did it.It was like putting hair in a pony tail and cutting it off. I asked for no perfume and their smell made my husband have to take an allergy pill and the dogs themselves are allergic to perfumes. My first and last time there!!!

Started coming to Country Clippers after a friend knew of a dog that needed a new home ASAP. It was suggested to try asking Gen, the owner. I called her and asked if she could help the little Chihuahua and she said yes. That same day Gen’s mom (mom is a dog trainer) came in the shop and saw the little dog and fell in love and rescued her that day. They truly care for the animals they serve as well as caring about their clients pocketbooks. I’m not rich but I care about my dogs and their upkeep. Especially the nails. Nail clips can get pretty expensive around here one place charged almost as much as my nail lady charges me for a fill. But Gen has kept her prices down. I can’t beat what she charges and I have 1 Chihuahua rescue that has an enlarged heart and is on 3 meds twice a day and was an outside dog with old owners. Baby Dawg had a weird callous over her nails at first which kept nails short but grew weird. With Gens help she corrected the problem but now her nails grow quick so BD needs nails done twice a month so Gens low price for clips helps a lot. I send everyone their. Especially when they talk about how high other groomers charge. This shop really cares for the animals in and around Lockeford. Gen has helped displaced animals after an apartment fire in Lockeford, she also was “Johnny on the spot” when a pit bull was hit by a car on 88 a year or two ago. Someone ran in saying a dog was just hit and Gen ran out and performed CPR and did everything she knew to try to save the dog but the injuries were too much. Gen properly handled the dogs remains, turned them over to the police dept I think it was. The owners just moved here from Hawaii and it was foggy that day and the dog got out. They called all over looking for the dog when they called my work at Animal Friends Connection and it so happened that I had been in Gens shop that day and heard about the dog from Hawaii that had passed away. We were able to connect the grieving owners to Gen so they could get the info to get their dogs remains back. But it’s that above and beyond spirit and attitude that impresses me and keeps me coming back. I know I went long on this review but at least you know a little more about the place that is grooming your fur baby. Great place.
