My puppy had a grooming appointment with Serafina. She's excellent, highly recommended. Tobias always leave happy and looking nice.***Visit October 23, I also want to say all staffs at the store are friendly and helpful. Neema is very helpful she's one of the cashier always there with a big smile. Laura was very helpful giving me tips how to deal with Tobias still a puppy.

Ample selection. Large space with a large selection of products.I haven’t had a pet for many years so deciding which products to purchase I found overwhelming. Two staff members were able to help but not as much as I needed due to the shortage of staff on the floor.

I frequent Petco often and always purchase the same food items for my dog. However there have been several times where they were out of the fresh dog food with no viable alternative or the Dogswell snacks. They need to order more because they go fast.

The employees they currently have are the worst they have ever had. Completely ignored me when I asked for help with purchasing a Parakeet. I went up to the cashier gave me an attitude & once the cashier called her over she went to the cashier immediately but completely ignored me when i asked for help? Ridiculous. I’m a regular customer I’ll have to go somewhere else where they treat us customers better. Your the ones loosing customers not me.

I visited Petco (in Livermore, California) to buy a single, small can of food for my 21 year old cat. She is near the end of a long, good life, but no longer wants to eat the food prescribed by her veterinarian. Her bodily functions appear to all be shutting down. In a last attempt to interest her in food, I purchased a small can of Wellness cat food. At the cashier's desk, I got into conversation with the cashier, Max. She made some helpful suggestions and I decided to purchase another product that she knew of that could possibly help my cat. I haven't succeeded in getting my cat to try the new products, though she did eat a tiny bit of the Wellness food. Things are not looking hopeful at all, but I want to thank Max for her suggestions and taking the time and interest in my kitty's sad situation. Max seems like an excellent employee. Thank you!

This is the worst Petco I have been in. It is run badly by people with no management skills what so ever. The store is under staffed and the good workers never stay. Not only do the people in the store lack management skills they lack on needed supplies for my pets. The ladies room is disgusting and the paper towels amd toilet paper are always out of the holders.Hey Petco management team you really need to get better management in this store. I go to Dublin and they have the items I need with no excuses. There is a reason there is high turn over of people at this store and the reason is the person who is managing the store. New management is needed.

You can get 20% your purchases if you subscribe your pet to their program. You can cancel anytime, so it can be very worth it to get it for a month when you are getting a new pet and buying a lot of stuff. We were setting up an aquarium and it was well worth it. I dont think their store has the best quality goods available, but they do the job and you can save some money if dont care that much.

Sam was so helpful. I came in late after work needing to pick up dog food and she helped me pick the right size sweater for my cold doggie. Now he's a hot dog!! Ha ha ha. Petco should promote her if she wants that.

Livermore branch store Petco grooming areas are dirty. Everywhere is fur and not sweeper the night before. Also it has a sewage smell when I entered. The Petco vital care rewards always messed up my punch card and wasted my time to call in numerous times to fix it.

This review is for the Grooming center. My doodle was recently groomed by Serafina and we couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. She was so patient with him (he’s anxious with grooming) and gave him such a fantastic cut. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

If it was just based off the fish it would get one star. Every time I purchased a plant or fish or live food from this location my tank seem to get sick or a fish would die and after a while the only coincidence was that it came from the tanks at Petco. So I decided to run a test and I purchased two shrimp ran a tank like normal with just plants and shrimp from this store and the whole tank became infected. No that the photo seems extreme because I let this tank run for about two and a half to three weeks without doing a water change to see how bad it got after being introduced to two shrimp from Petco. Keep in mind this was a perfectly pristine tank prior to adding the shrimp*editIf you are going to buy fish to start a tank that is probably fine because you can treat all of them but adding them to existing tank may infect your existing fish

We went in for a new harness for a small dog. We've been having trouble finding out that fits well. We had tried one on and still not quite satisfied but then a very nice young lady came by and made a suggestion for a different style. She helped me try it on Ollie and it was a much better fit. That's the kind of service that gets me in store shopping instead of trying another online order.

Nice,clean & orderly store. Items well marked. Employees very helpful & friendly. Had good selection of items I needed for two dogs & good variety of different sizes as well. Easy parking in large lot near Big Lots & TJ Maxx. The only issue, which all specialty pet stores share, is that they are priced on the high end but the quality of their merchandise is very good so you do get what you pay for.

For the first time I took my puppy to get pampered at Petco in Livermore. I'm glad that I decided to give it a try since the location is very close to my house and I always see other pet owners brought their dogs there. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. I will be back
