This situation happened roughly two years ago but I still wanted to address it. I came in one day with a family member because my parents sent us to go shopping here, although I would’ve rather been anywhere else. I go to pick up a pretty heavy bag of flower and my lower back almost gave out so I quickly set it back down, and some manager lady accused me of throwing the bag back on the shelf and “damaging it” along with other items in similar proximity when nothing was broken. I hadn’t aggressively thrown anything, nor was I being disrespectful to anyone including staff members. After rudely approaching me and falsely accusing me of such atrocities, she proceeded to kick me out aggressively and it ruined my whole day, including the shopping experience. Not to mention I was in the store for literally 35 seconds. I could write a fairy tale novel with stories and events that sound way more convincing than the accusations that lady threw at me… absolutely embarrassing. 2 years since the incident now and I haven’t been back since, don’t plan on coming back. If anyone is looking to get harassed, come here.

I love the dollar General market in live oak, California. Wide variety of items. Just wish they would build one in Yuba city closer to where I live. Which is down the block from the mall

This is a somewhat decent local grocery store. It's big, but it doesn't carry everything you need. Since all the big supermarkets are in Yuba City, this is the place to shop on lazy days of summer.

This location was well put together and mostly organized. I did go during their last hour open on a Friday and was surprised at how helpful the staff was and how organized the shelves were. I've seen a lot worse at other locations. I usually go for a cheap toy for my kiddo and first aid supplies can be a great deal there as well. Not to mention they have a plethora of useful stuff. Some quality some not.

I really like this dollar general market they always have fresh fruit an veggies. There meat selection is small but not bad..Very friendly staff.. and is always clean.. an usually stocked most of the time with what you need

When I lived in Live Oak 5 years ago, DG was such a blessing...so clean, stocked well, friendly service. Now when I come to visit LO and go to DG it's always a disaster, so messy stuff everywhere, the only good thing is the people that work there are nice. Needs better management, come on DG...clean it up!

Very disappointed that this company can't even get their app right. It tells you that there are awesome coupons available digitally that you can use at the register... When you make an account and go to look for them..they are no where to be found and the excuse is literally "I don't know, this happens a lot"...so in other words your employees are not even given the tools they need to do their job correctly if they can't fix the problem other than taking the money off the item at the register. That's the only reason they are getting 3 stars from me, because they took the discount off manually.

Decent. Love the staff. Sometimes very busy/crowded because it's a small town. But other than that. And compared to other locals it's a blessing to have around.Very clean. Very helpful. Lots of selections for such a small store. Some qualitys are decent for your dollar.

Seriously my home away from home!! I am so glad we have this store. Their prices on shampoos & conditioners etc make up to toothpaste are compatible to Walmart which I love. I know the employees by name, and they know me as well especially their morning crew! 5 stars and 2 👍👍

Its a lovely Friday morning and I decided to go to D.G. to pick up a few things. The "manager", I'm not sure what her title is, has some personal issues. I was trying to pick up a few things and she taunted my husband and I about how we can't be there. After I reminded her that she has no right kicking us out, since we didn't do anything, she got more aggressive and agitated. The so called manager decided she was going to threaten to beat me up even though I'm pregnant and told me to meet her outside. Lol.This place is a joke. It's literally the only grocery store in Live Oak. I don't know what kind of training the management has here but it is seriously lacking.

They need to hire a decent manager. The shelves are NEVER stocked, there are always items sort of flung on isles. They also need so stockers, cashier's. This store has gone downhill since December. It's the only store in Live Oak. You'd think they could take advantage of that & step up their game.

I went to Dollar General today. On this last visit my daughter and I bought 2 loaves of bread, spaghetti sauce, and a bag of chips. We purchased them on aisle 4 and realized we had forgotten spaghetti noodles. She ran to the back of the store and I got in aisle one as aisle 4 had closed. We were next in line and had been acknowledged by the cashier. My daughter took the items we had already purchased and headed outside to the car while I waited in line to purchase the noodles. The cashier who had just acknowledged us chased my daughter to the parking lot and accused her of shoplifting.He did not ask me if I had already paid for the merchandise or what she was doing or anything. He decided the best course of Action was to chase a minor outside and then scare her.When he returned the store he informed me he accused my daughter of shoplifting. I walked over to the manager. I told her what just happened and she smirked at me and said “oh ok I’ll talk to him”. I told her that was not acceptable dropped the noodles and left the store.My daughter was in the car crying and said she just didn’t know what to do.The items she walked out with cost around $6.00. She did not conceal the items. The cashier watched as I handed then to her.This was so embarrassing for her. I will absolutely never return to this store

I've bought meat, produce, and pies. I won't bite meet there at all anymore no matter what it is, I've bought it twice and have it be bad. I've bought baked pies twice and both times it had mold growing the bottom of the pan. They don't know how to rotate their stock out. If you go to the store for anything else it's okay. When it comes to their food you really have to be careful .

They literally scammed me out of my money. I paid 25 for a 15 dollar gift card and 6.10 for the other stuff. I didn't get the other 3.90 that they owe me

So I work in Sacramento and there is a Dollar General in the same plaza I work but I live in Live Oak so I started going to this particular location because by far I had the best customer service at this Dollar General, and the store seems more organized. There was a young girl name Britney, she helped me a lot (even though she was busy restocking and helping at the cash register) Not only did she help me find products I was looking for, she helped me download the DG App and trust me the coupon there are insane, because of the deals she told me about I ended up stocking up on other household products. I think if you shop at DG often, you should definitely have the app. Thanks Britney for all your help! You’re customer service is the best.

The cashier walked up to the checkstand to help me out. His pants was way below is waistline. He had no name badge. I said to him good morning and nothing was said to me. After checking out of the checkstand and I told him thank you and have a nice day. He just looked at me. Poor customer service.

It has been a great addition to our small town, offering low prices close to home. The cashiers are hit and miss and there is a huge employee turnover. My biggest complaint is constant problems with items ringing up at the wrong price, or sale items not being discounted when you go to purchase them.If I get several items, there is nearly always at least one item I have an issue with. I know they must hate to see me coming, because from previous experience, I now watch the price of each item so that I don't have to return for a refund. I have had a checker argue with me over how many clearance items I had (I was stocking up okay?) and when the prices kept coming up wrong, she very sarcastically said to me, "These are ALL on clearance". And I snapped at her, I said "YES, is there a PROBLEM with that?" I have worked retail for half my life, and I don't think I have ever snapped at a cashier before.

Having been going to this store for 5 years now. I use to like to go and shop here. The employees were always friendly and helpful. Since the new manager has taken over the store has went downhill big time. It is sad to see.

I'm leaving a one star review for no other reason than for the last two months your store has absolutely refused to restock your hummus. That is literally one of the only things I buy from your store. I'm becoming disenchanted and am wondering if I need to just shop elsewhere.

The Dollar General at never been before was located in Gridley California my friend and I stopped there back from our trip to Chico. It was interesting had a lot of stuff why variety kind of like a mini mcfrugals Big Lots. Even though I was expecting it a dollar store as in everything for holler the prices were seemingly reasonable some things were higher than what I would find elsewhere and a wide variety. Staff was courteous store was clean they had everything from gardening to food is pretty good I recommend it

Bigger selections then your average Dollar General. Prices are good. Service no so much. Spend more time in check out line then actually shopping. 6 or more registers.... use them management.

Good store near me good service always go to by something Reasonable pricing first big grocery store in my town . Only thing they have most the time they have only one cashier line open and you have to wait a bit for your turn hopefully they fix that soon!!

Overall like the store the cashiers are nice and friendly but the managers in there need to be sent to sensitivity training they've got very bad attitudes like their s*** doesn't stink
