This place is gorgeous! When I booked through Airbnb, they didn't mention our "Garden Suite" was going to be in an amazing Victorian house built in 1877!! The place was super clean and comfortable, with lovely landscaping, saunas, and really nice outdoor spaces to enjoy under the redwoods and in their little apple orchard. In addition to being a beautiful spot with a cool beach just across the road, the owners seem to be very ecologically conscious, and encourage guests to conserve water, and compost, with a composting facility on site. 10/10, so relaxing and beautiful, we can't wait to come back.

Sooo expensive for not much of a place to stay. First of all, they sent check in instructions an hour after check-in time on the day we arrived. There is no cell service at the BnB so those instructions should have been sent much sooner. Also in their instructions they listed two different code numbers for the key lock. A typo on their part but still..I had messaged them weeks earlier asking about recommendations on best hikes and places to take our stand up paddle boards. No response at all.The carriage house space is small, the shower is TINY, you constantly hear others walking by outside, workers coming to the shop behind the carriage house at early hours in the morning waking us up, the bed was okay but the pillows were horrible, and there were a few hairs found throughout the covers.I would have never paid anywhere near the price I paid if the photos only showed the truth.

What a horrible experience. The tesla charger was the reason we booked here and it's broken, we messaged the owner asking about it twice and had no reply, terrible communication from them. There is no cell service which would have been okay as the room was really cute, but the suites on either side have no sound insulation. I was kept up by neighbours on one side, and then awoken by the neighbours on the other around 3am. It literally sounded like they were doing it on the bed next to me. Even considering the cost of this place I nearly went and slept in my car.

When we entered the Airbnb space called Treeview, we noticed that the “private” condo was actually three side-by-side attached condos to a Victorian House. It’s not separate at all besides the walls that kept us from our neighbors. As I went to unpack, I noticed the surface of the dresser was DUSTY! And so were multiple other bedside tables! The hosts claim that all surfaces have been sanitized, but this was clearly wrong. There were only enough towels for a two day stay, so be prepared to bring your own towels and blankets as they’ve only got one thin blanket for you. There’s no fresh drinking water offered; only coffee and two paper cups to last our two day stay. Their faucet water also had a yellow hue.The bed has a HUGE indentation in the middle of it that felt like an old spring bed from the 2000s that had been overused and never replaced. The front door would only close if we locked it with the two deadbolts. Otherwise, it would open itself back up. There were no screens on the windows, and there were only pull-down paper blinds. It was extremely small and MUCH colder in the room than it was outside. There is NO microwave, and this condo doesn’t overlook the beach at all. It overlooks the yard of the condo, which was still beautiful. There was really cheap toilet paper offered (2 rolls) and a wood burner. The doors were upside down and there are doorknobs in the bathroom that are low to the ground. No television and no complimentary snacks. We brought our dog, which has to be on leash the entire time outside and the hosts would not allow us to leave our dog in our rooms in a kennel. We had to take him everywhere with us.And be prepared to clean up for the hosts! They want you to take out your own garbage and to bag your own linens after you leave, despite the fact that they still charge a cleaning fee. This was not worth the stay. The entire time, we felt inadequately treated as guests, and we also felt like the Airbnb was very eerie and unsafe feeling while we stayed here. The place is right off the highway and there is nothing to keep you safe from outsiders. Just be careful if you do book this place and be prepared to bring in your own security.

This is our favorite place to stay on the Mendocino coast. The rooms are awesome, beautifully decorated, super comfy beds, I love the wood burning stove in the room. Over the years we have stayed in several different rooms, and each one is beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast that is delivered to your door each morning is seriously the best I've ever eaten! Always a treat that we look forward to. The owners and staff are awesome, very friendly and helpful. The grounds are gorgeous, the location is beautiful. This is without a doubt our favorite place to come for a romantic get a away. When we get the chance for just the two of us to get a way, there is no question as to where we will go, it's Dennen's Victorian Farmhouse!

Hubby took me here for our Anniversary. Unfortunately,we were not impressed. As always, online photos make the place look much better. Looks to be some of the rooms in the main house may be nice, but the so called “guesthouses”, which advertised as you having the “whole” guesthouse, is basically a bedroom w/own bathroom. The closet is where the fridge/micro/coffee is stored, having to plug in the power strip outside the closet. The door had a open gap, so cold air comes in.Firewood was wet & since it was raining all the wood outside was wet as well. Woke up to ants on my nightstand & a few in our bed. There is no internet when you arrive, so make sure you have all instructions etc. about your room when you arrive. The “secluded” beach is secluded, but is public so there are others there, & it’s a very small beach area. The walk is along the busy highway. With it now being ran through AirB&B, the cleaning & other fees make it much higher priced then it’s worth. He paid less at North Cliff Hotel, which has many more amenities, ocean view & room is the size of 2 rooms here. (Jus sayin.). We have been to many places & like to try new, which we did & now know.Hopefully the new owners will do the major changes that’s needed, making it worth the money & bring it back to the way it was years back.

I came here with my family (including my 15 month old son) for the first time two weeks ago. It is a beautifully appointed inn. The rooms are very private and we had our own fireplace and gigantic, whirlpool bathtub. The bed was extremely comfortable (featherbed) and we were all very relaxed. The grounds are very well maintained and there is an area with a fire pit that makes for a lovely and cozy evening. Our breakfast was delicious and very fresh. The owners and staff were so kind and attentive. There is a nearby cove (walking distance) with stunning shoreline views. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and I highly recommend the Victorian farmhouse!

We booked this spot through Airbnb and it was a really great stay! The listing there, however, made it seem like there was only one rental here but there were actually quite a few! The biggest drawbacks were our GPS unit not finding the right addrss (it's literally off Hwy 1 and comes up quick, you have to be looking for the numbers, our Garmin was about a mile off) and the fridge in our unit was unplugged and had mold in it. We easily cleaned it but that wasn't a fun thing to do right away. I can't wait to see what this place looks like as the current owners are making some great adds!

I appreciated the hospitality, but things were not nearly as kept up as they should have been. Their fresh juice is incredible, the walk to a secluded beach the owner mentions in advertisement is not near as close as they say, there was quite a spider problem, great view of forrest/plant life, awesome location, no instructions for how to use machines in room, pricing a bit high, but was an overall fun place to stay and would do so again.

Joe and Fred are great! We were there three nights. The breakfasts were catered to our needs and scrumptious. Our breakfast was had next to a window on the second floor where we could see the ocean in the distance. We loved visiting Mendocino and Fort Brag (only 10 minutes away). The house is beautiful. We had no idea that this house was the subject of one of Kinkade's paintings. That was a neat bonus.Side note not related to Dennen's: After $15 in bait, $42 fishing license, 1 hour setting up fishing gear and 3 hours fishing, I caught a 2 inch bullhead. I probably should have just taken one of the very inexpensive fishing charters (they all seemed around the $80 range) instead of playing hit or miss on fishing spots.

This is our favorite inn on the Mendocino coast. We recently had a family gathering here with 12 of us - parents, siblings, children and grandchildren. Jo and Fred went to the extra effort of phoning or emailing each party prior to the weekend in order to ask meal preferences, sleeping arrangements, etc. and also sent us info on their favorite restaurants and activities in the area. Jo then made the dinner reservations for both nights at the restaurants we selected. The rooms are beautifully decorated and equipped, including whirlpool bath tubs, wood stoves, and very comfortable beds. There is an outdoor fire pit at the far end of the property which was a perfect site for relaxing after dinner and for roasting smores and marshmallows with the kids. The breakfast that was delivered to the rooms was fresh and well prepared. Jo, Fred and Kathy are attentive and down to earth folks who made our family weekend a fun, comfortable and relaxing time!

Be prepared for long check in process. This lady feels the need to explain everything to include how to flush toilet to how to use doorknob to get inside your room. She not only runs your credit card through machine but in addition writes your credit card info on paper to keep in her files. I hope her files are secure? We literally walked in the room for her to show us then left. Because of family emergency had to leave town and we went back an hour later to give her key and she says she can't give refund because we walked inside? I understand business is business but if women was understanding it would have been cool for her to maybe just charge us 1/2 price given circumstance. Their rooms are Victorian outdated very congested that are over priced at $280. There are way better places to stay on coast. I wouldn't go back.

This was a small room. No fridge to keep even water cold. The bed was not comfortable at all. It was a cute place, but not comfortable for a tired traveling family. We had originally booked another place that ended up with plumbing problems so this place was booked for us. The room was intended for a romantic getaway, not a couple with their 13 year old son.

I can't imagine a more comfortable bed and breakfast than Dennen's Victorian Farmhouse. It's absolutely beautiful, historic, quiet and comfy.Jo is the perfect hostess, who makes a dynamite breakfast in bed. We're vegan, and she had no problem accomodating us.You'll see all sorts of wildlife on the property...deer, squirrels, birds. And colorful wildflowers throughout the grounds. You really will love staying here!

If you're looking to step back in time or have a once upon a time...this place is it! What you see is what you get and more. Truly this place is picture perfect (Thomas Kinkade even painted it!) with impeccable service, luxurious bedding and delicious home made breakfast delivered right to your door every morning that you can eat in bed if you choose. Jo is the hostess with the mostess! she has a TLC personality with a great sense of humor. She will take care of your every need. The private ocean cove is a must see! I would recommend having Jo book you a horse back ride on the beach for sure. This place goes the extra mile and its all in the details. I stayed in the Garden Room and it was a real treat and the memories I made - Priceless! This old world charmer is a high class jewel and I can't wait to go back. I highly recommend this for a solo or couples getaway.

Arrive and let yourself in via the lock box. Cool old semi creepy interior, Michael Jackson "Thriller" was on the record player. Decent bed with a nice view. Gave it 3 stars cause there's really no cooking space. There are restaurants near and a general store.Overall it's a decent spot. Cheers

Great location and quality space. Appreciate the dog friendliness. Would have like the in room hot tube to work, and the curtains to provide a little more privacy but would definitely stay again at this location.

DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOURE DEPENDING ON CHARGING. Incompetent ownership put the waypoint in the wrong place (the charger is actually behind a bush on the main house, not the side house) and leaves the charger unpowered and unusable. Wasted hours of our time, had to drive to another charger, wait hours, and pay to charge. Also, rusty on the inside, loud creaky floors, can hear conversations of everyone around you at all times.

I stumbled over this by chance and had originally wanted to stay for a day. I ended up spending six days allover. Breakfast in your room, a fireplace, hummingbirds, quail, a 10 minutes walk to a hidden beach, easy access to Mendocino, to only name a few things that let Dennen's stand out. One of my all-time favourites for a price hard to beat. Thank you Jo and Fred!

It's ok, just not my kind of place. No cell service, so wifi extra important and it was spotty. Old farmhouse with thin walls, you could easily hear your neighbors. Lots of highway noise from US 1. Bed comfortable but sofabed not
