This is a great pet store! I have been to a lot and so know the cream of the crop! This owner goes above and beyond to help you with your needs! Plus occasionally he has a small, cute tortoise for sale too! His vaccines are well priced, food is fresh, and he always has a smile! Make sure you pet the kitty too if you can find her! Go see him for sure!

George is my go-to guy I mean really I don't think I've ever met someone who is more genuinely nice than this man and I want you to know I need a lot of people. He cares about animals he cares about his store he cares about his reputation he cares to make people connect and that is something that you don't get from a Petco or PetSmart you can't make that local connection I will always choose San Diego Pet Supply May in my book are top notch Plus you can get deliveries same day I mean let's be real here Petco PetSmart not happening. They also have a dog grooming service which I have not taken advantage of yet but I'm thinking my shibas might need a bath with them we shall see soon. Shop here it's the best they have a large bunny selection

This is a great place to shop for your pet. They have been in business a very long time. The owner is super friendly and is a great reference source for his products and other issues or questions you may be experiencing with your pet. He remembers me when I was a sales rep. for Nutro, before that private boys club got scared during the massive dog/cat food recall and sold the company to Mars, Inc. That recall changed the whole pet industry for the worse. Dog food bags dropped from 40lbs to 30lbs causing retail prices to doublesending retail prices doubled.Don't forget he has chickens and other animals in the back.

I really appreciate this small business. Has tons of specialty supplies, feed, crates, and other unique items. if they don't have it, they order it for you. I try to avoid corporate pet stores in favor of small, family owned like this one.

The best of San Diego Pet shop. I recommend them. I've followed them ever since they were open in downtown San Diego, and now they move to Lemon Grove. Always the best customer service. They was very knowledgeable about what brand of food to help a rescue dog I received up his immune system put weight on him and settle his nervous stomach, shine up his dull coat. Great prices. Excellent customer service, I wasn't feeling well that day and didn't notice that I dropped all my shopping money out of my purse over $200 on the floor, the young man instantly picked it all up for me, and insisted on carrying my dog food to and putting it in my car, thanking me for choosing they're store for supplying my newly added member' nutritional needs, inviting me to come again. I love this store. They make you feel like family.

As soon as i walked in a little boy came up to me and my husband asking if we knew what we were looking for or needed help finding anything. We asked a few questions and were taken to the section we needed for out new pet turtle. We were given information on the breed of turtle we have and were given a perfect tank and perfect tank set up. I went in on a separate occasion looking for feeder fish 🐟. Not only was everything good quality but it was also reasonably priced and the shop owner gave us a few "floaters" for free. They are super kind and helpful.

Very Honest Family Owned business, they are not out to Over Charge you for loving your Better Half (pet), prices are extremely reasonable, they truly care about both you and your pet, they will assist carrying your items to your vehicle, and they also offer in area home delivery. Extremely friendly staff! Went above and beyond to special order food for my cat with allergies. They even helped when my cat got a uti and remembered she had it the next time I came in and asked how she was doing. Very grateful for their help! It’s very clear they love animals here.

This place has small koi perfect for a fish pond and all the supplies you could ask for at the best prices. The millet spray is sold in bulk that is such a better deal than any other pet store. This is the best place for quality dog food and parrot food at unmatched best prices. Two thumbs up.

What can I say, it's a pet store. They really seem to cater to dog and cat owners. We were there for bird seed for backyard and they had only one choice. Price was average, so It served it's purpose.
