I’ve been coming to this Petco since 2013 when I got my first pet chiquis she is now 11 years old. Throughout time I’ve had rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, beta fish and recently, parakeets for my daughter. I’ve never done a review for the store but in my recent trip one employee stood out to me for his knowledge. RICKY IS BY FAR THE BEST EMPLOYEE OVE EVER ENCOUNTERED HERE ❤️ I know there’s a lot of knowledgeable colleagues but you can tell he really wants to educate and train people to be better pet owners. Thank you Ricky for your knowledge, patience and guidance. My daughter promised to take good care of the birdies and of everything goes well we plan on expanding 🌟 here is melon and bluey :)

I absolutely love this Petco! I come here and only here! The staff is always so so so nice and they also have everything in stock always!!! They never fail to have clean animal enclosures either!! They are always SO SO clean!! The fish, the birds, and bearded dragons all have super clean enclosures. EVERY time I come here!!! Good job to ALL the staff at this location!! You guys are awesome!

I come here often for grooming for my dog. They treat her with kindness which is incredibly important to me as she’s like my baby! The staff is very friendly and the store is clean. I recently signed up for the Vital Care program and so far I’ve enjoyed it with the rewards I’ve saved. I come here often and spend a lot of money here so I personally think it’s worth it.

Problems with GlowFish tanks and Customer ServiceI have been a regular and satisfied customer at Petco, especially impressed with the friendliness of the staff during my recent visits for buying fish for my child and for about a decade prior. It's a convenient location for me, and until now, my experiences have been positive.However, my latest encounter over a product issue was highly disappointing. I initially purchased a Glowfish Fish Tank a year ago, which had an integrated filter that was difficult to clean, leading to uncontrollable algae growth. I replaced it with another Glowfish tank without an integrated filter, but this too had significant design flaws. The tank's top did not fit over the filter, causing water leakage. Despite my efforts to modify and fix these issues, the tank continued to leak.When I returned to the store for assistance, the staff members I had good experiences with were not present. In their place, a manager with red hair handled my situation. Her attitude was dismissive and disrespectful, in stark contrast to the earlier helpful and friendly staff. She seemed to ridicule my concerns, and at checkout, I was unexpectedly charged an additional fee. Her demeanor suggested that she didn't take my issues seriously and even implied that I should shop elsewhere. She said "it would be silly to write a negative review about this, maybe you should buy your fish somewhere else"... well here it is. 1 star. Totally preventable.This incident has left me frustrated and disappointed, particularly because of the negative treatment I received from the manager, which was unwarranted and unprofessional. I hope this review alerts other customers to the potential quality issues with Glowfish tanks and the varying levels of customer service at Petco.In the picture you can see the section I needed to cut out of the lid, and the hot glue I had to apply to keep the filter from pumping all of the water out onto my counter. I would have brought it right back but my counter was flooded and I have my daughters fish in there.Aqueon tanks don't seem to have any issues out of the box, i'd recommend those instead and hope they remove these flawed glowfish tanks from the shelves.

Been watching this store since they started selling fish again, about a year ago. Poor fishkeeping as expected with a big box store, can't justify making even a "pity" purchase even if heart strings are pulled. Buy elsewhere.Stars for the staff though, they've been chill.However I won't be buying from the aquatic department.

Horrible customer service. Asked a question regarding a bag of food for my dog, and didn't reply to it. The lady just said to find out on my own. Asked another worker for help, she said to wait because she was busy doing something quick. She was not helping no one else at all. Waited 15 minutes or more and she didn't acknowledge my husband and I at all any more. We ended just leaving.

The only reason I'm going with 4 stars is because, like most large pet store chains, there is a huge emphasis on dogs and a much smaller selection for cats and reptiles. Otherwise, this is my primary store for my 2 cats and bearded dragon though I do need to sometimes go to a reptile specific shop to find specific items. Staff is always friendly!

Small store. Very expensive. But I did find what I came in for, and the service was great. I recommend parking near the Carl's Jr to avoid the In-N-Out traffic.

Pls note, comment is my first impression of the place. Eventually it may change and take away 1 or more stars.Staff were nice and helpful.Place is not as big as the other petco ive been to but i prefer this due to not having the overwhelming amount of products scattered everywhere or to choose from. This means, if not a regular product you normally see at other petco store, definitely call first.Because the size of the place is manageable that it looks organized.Love that they have different varieties of bugs and worms and accessories for my bearded dragon, is most important of all.

My partner and I unexpectedly came into the care of a kitten and we needed supplies. Dylan was EXTREMELY helpful and recommended stuff to buy for our new kitty. We were a bit lost so without his recommendations it would’ve taken much longer. Thank you Dylan for being so helpful!

Have been buying food for my pets here for a long time. For my dog, I purchase Just Food For Dogs frozen food, and noticed that one of the bags had a hole in it due to food getting caught in the seal during the packaging process. Since I buy food for the month, I did not notice until I pulled out my last bag from the freezer to thaw. I ordered more for pickup, and brought the bag with a hole in to exchange. To my disappointment, since I was 2 days past the 30-day return window (bought on 1/31, went to exchange on 3/3) they said there was nothing they could do. They did not offer anything to help or any alternatives and just turned me away, not even an store credit or swap out for another bag (which is all I wanted- since it would not be safe to feed this food to my dog not knowing what it had been exposed to). The cashier was polite, but they are not solutions oriented nor cared to listen to my situation. Be sure to check all your products before leaving- sad they couldn’t be reasonable for a $15 bag of food.

I pay monthly for the Vital care savings because I need supplies every week. However, I noticed I have to ask most cashiers to include my savings for every purchase because if I don't ask, they won't apply them. Is there a reason for this? Im surprised they dont automatically apply them or at least ask me if I want to apply them. I have to ask for my savings after they've hit total and it's not all the cashiers just some.

As a manager I have never experienced such hate and discrimination from another “manager” named Marilyn, who was cashiering on 2/19/22 @11:20am. I call ahead to see if they got what I need in stock, which they tell me they only have one left; but since it’s badly damaged that I would get 50% off the employee told me. So since we both @petco and I agreed on that deal, I drove down, yet to have Marilyn, the manager tell me she will NOT give my the discount. She was rude from the start. I did nothing wrong and was extremely polite as my mother taught me but this woman has issues. Get her help.

We love Petco, but this particular Petco has a difficult parking lot, but this is certainly not their fault, at all. The In N Out line is nearby, and this leads to a lot of congestion.

I can tell the animals are taken care of at this location. Although there have been a few times I've seen fish that look unhealthy, as if they were messed with by kids. That's the one thing I've noticed coming sometimes. Other than that, pretty good Petco.

Please be aware that you cannot cancel the vital premier "anytime"!!! It is a year long contract! The only "canceling" that they do is to stop the auto renewal. Don't let them trick you into signing up for a membership that doesn't even cover chewables for hamsters!!

Decent sized store. The area felt a little sketchy and there were some strange people pacing around outside, which made me slightly nervous going there alone. Lighting felt somewhat dark inside the store, and it wasn’t easy to figure out where certain items were. But the employee was friendly and check out was easy and I found what I needed eventually.

No one asked if I needed help. I asked an employee for help who was actually the cashier and said someone would be over to help me. No one ever came. Seemed like stocking shelves was more important. Better training on customer service needed for sure.

Petco was great needed so pet urine deodorizer and they had a couple of different ones . With a buy one get one deal ,that was perfect for what I needed. The staff member was friendly. I would go back there again if I'm in the area

This location has gone downhill over the years sorry to say. I’ve been coming here for 20 years and it’s come to and end. All the other locations are perfectly fine and have had good, positive experiences. At this location pickups seem to be delayed and or aren’t ready 2/5 times. Too many dead fish, and they are the only location that told me there was a minimum purchase of 40 crickets pre-bagged which was alittle odd because i had just came in 3-4 days prior and was able to purchase 12. All other locations you can buy as little or as many as you need. Employees seldomly greet you and i feel I was lied to by the female manager that stated petcos aren’t allowed to sell single crickets anymore but that’s one main convenience that is now regulated here. I’ll be going to others and skipping this location even though it’s only 4 miles from me.

Our groomer was wonderful. She cared for our pups exactly as needed for their personalities. This was their first grooming and they needed a lot of work. They came out fresh and soft. It was a great experience for everyone.
