We're in Lee Vining for 3 days and had dinner at Nicely's. I had their Chicken Breast with Teriyaki Sauce and thought it was very good! My in-laws both had the Fish N Chips and they thought it was pretty good except the veggies were cold. My husband had their enormous Chef Salad and he said it was pretty darn good even though he couldn't finish it lol! The place has a 50's field to it, it's nostalgic and cute. Overall had a nice dinner.

For a small town, Lee Vining has a couple of excellent places to eat. This is one of them - the food was very good. We loved the salads, sandwich and the baked potato.Only the Bread Pudding was disappointing.

Was hoping they served breakfast late but they didn't. It took a bit for our orders to be taken even though the place wasn't that full. Food didn't take too long to come out though. Chicken noodle soup lacked flavor but the chicken sandwich with mushrooms and cheese was very good,. The fries were just ok as were the rest of the entrees. The bread pudding also lacked flavor and sadly the apple pie was a disappointment. The only good thing about it was the vanilla ice cream on it. Pie had no good flavor. Bread pudding also needed more tastiness. We ordered a sundae but didn't get it and want added to order. Our waiter didn't come by too often.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Hubby said vegetable lasagna had uncooked veggies but he enjoyed the mashed potatoes. Another lacto-vegetarian dish is the Garden burger with cheese inside. It would be great to have a vegan entree.

Nicely's was one of two dinner options in Lee Vining when we rolled into town around 8:00 Saturday night on 06/26/2021. This establishment is your basic, hometown diner that you find in most small, passerby towns. The service was very attentive and friendly, however the food was a little mediocre at best, especially for the prices.I ordered a Jack & Coke ($4.50), which was rather weak. I think they cheated me out with the Jack which really annoyed me because it's a cheap liquor and it probably only cost them $0.50 to make. Whatever. I had a delicious French Dip (pastrami, roast beef or baked ham with lettuce, crinkle fries and au jus, $10.25) to look forward to. Turns out I wasn't really waiting for anything special. While the sandwich did come with a generous amount of meat, the roast beef tasted old and tasteless. Even drenched in au jus I was unable to enjoy it. I tried adding my husband's abandoned onion slices. With that I was able to finish the sandwich. My husband's Bacon Cheeseburger ($11.25) was a joke. The patty was paper thin, definitely low-end, freezer patties. The poor quality did not support the burger's high (IMO) price. We both agreed the fries were good but not good enough. If I wanted just fries maybe I would have left a much happier customer. Two stars at best for the food, however I will add another star for the friendly service. I think this place sees a lot of foot traffic because it's 45 minutes from one of Yosemite's park entrances, so it's very convenient. But I would suggest trying other options if they are available.

Want to know what diners were like in the 70s? This has that atmosphere, a throwback to the good old days 😋. The menu is what you expect of a diner, good old fashioned American comfort food: hamburgers, sandwiches, fried chicken. But there are some updates and more vegetarian options. Still Lee Vining is about as far as you can get from the snazzy metros of California, so don't expect farm to table here.We had breakfast here as well. The portions are gigantic. We didn't have to eat lunch that day. Pretty standard American breakfast. Filling and not fancy.Super nice service matching the name. And after a great day of skiing, hiking, climbing, or a few days camping or backpacking, the comfort food will fill your stomach nicely! 😀

This place has a 50's atmosphere and is quite nice. It's also about the only restaurant in Lee Vining. I ate there twice- breakfast and dinner. The dinner was great. The breakfast of eggs, hash browns and toast was on the greasy side. I have never had so much butter on my toast. I tried soaking it up with napkins but in the end I just left it which was a shame. The staff were nice and the coffee good.

Nice truck-stop-style place, friendly service. Had the hot beef sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes. Homemade gravy and mashed potatoes, good flavors. Lemon meringue pie was near perfect.
