Mono Market is a great market to buy food and other items. Lee Vining is a small town so this market has been a great addition to the town. It’s been here for a long time, a vintage building. If you’re going through Lee Vining and need food, drinks, snacks or other items be sure to stop. It’s in a great location, near other stores nearby.

We’re on a sierras spring ski trip in early April and found this place. They had awesome breakfast burritos with spicy salsa you grab from the back fridge. Lots of great snacks and a little bit of fresh fruit. Good find in the winter when many places on the east side are closed for winter still

This little market had a great selection of gluten free products. The first time I saw gluten free cream puffs. Also, cinnamon waffles and breakfast sausage. Fresh produce allowed us to get our first salad in days of travel. Very large alcoholic selection as well.

If you need spices or some random nonperishable food item, this should have it. Got meat, fruit, and veggies. Prices are as you would expect. Lots of parking, right on the 395. Entrance, aisles, and counter are all accessible.

We were returning from our " pre-winter" hike to the Frog Lakes in the Dunderberg Peak Virginia Lakes area which was so spectacular even with deep snow already on the trail..We were famished and decided to pop into the Lee Vining market before we headed back to June Lake for snacks and ended up buying a wonderful array of dishes to feast on for the evening..This market is superb for hot food, bakery yummies, misc nic nacs! Esteban, who was working when we stopped by was so nice and friendly. The hot food offerings were excellent choices with various generous meaty burritos; roast chicken with rosemary; quiche ; various hot sandwiches and the piece de resistance! ...the delicious hearty chile ..of course. I had to also buy bakery desserts. Even though it was late in the day, bought a large scone and croissants for the morning which of course were gobbled up as dessert:) instead.Pop in this market. It will surprise you!

The best market in a very small town maybe isn't saying much when it's the only market. But these people do a very good job. They have a really good variety of foods & supplies. Good fresh produce section with many organic options, gluten free stuff, deli choices, meats, desserts. I find it a really impressive market for this little Eastern Sierra. Yosemite outpost of Lee Vining.

Good road stop for some quick food with having to sit down at a restaurant. They have burritos, rotisserie chicken, pastries, and other hot food items. Big collection of liquor for those wanting to get drunk.

Really impressed with the number of vegan options! From veggie patties to ice cream to soup. Selection was way better than what you’d expect. Down sides: The prices are high and the market aisles are thin.

We were so grateful this place has reasonably-priced food. After getting gouged by tourist prices everywhere else, we arrived at Mono Market to find 1/2 rotisserie chickens for only $4.04! Fruit was reasonable. The cashier was very friendly.

Signs say open. Lights are on. Employees are visible from the window. Zero response and according to all media and their store front they are open for another full hour. As I write this 8 more people have come knocking and been ignored.Turn off the lights and open signs and change all of your hours postings! Or at least have the respect to acknowledge folk at your door. We want to buy your grotesquely overpriced offerings, you thoughtless goons.

A must stop after coming over Tioga Pass. Basically a full grocery store with everything you need, plus large, walk-in beer fridge. Coffee, soup of the day and ice cream

It’s unfortunate, I stayed in Lee Vining, wanted something different, different I got. I went to buy something for dinner. I first looked for bread. 10 loads and only the kinds I didn’t want. Then I looked for steak, only one steak that was any good, $26.99 and it was small, small enough I probably wouldn’t have filled up. Then I thought, okay a salad, only two, but dressing provide was either thousand island or French. No Italian, no ranch, no blue cheese, just out of everything. Nothing looked fresh. I thought cookies. $5.95. I thought they have hamburger buns, no hamburger. I though frozen dinner, none in stock. I walked through the store 3 times while the employee was on the phone talking and laughing loudly. as I began to leave he offered to help, but said they were low on stock and he was sorry. I could have eaten but I could not have made a meal out of anything there. Luckily I brought food with me, but I was looking for something better. I will be much more prepared next visit and stop in bishop before coming up the hill.

I love this place. I stop in anytime I'm anywhere near here. The hot food is fresh and made there. It's not the right regular convenience store junk. The Monorittos, the Lasagna, the Pizza, it's all made there are fresh. And it's all very tasty. I look forward to eating it every time I'm in the area. And the staff has always been very friendly. I love this place, and I'll continue to shop here when I'm in the area.

It's one of the last stores before you hit Yosemite. The burrito was pre-made and put under a heater along with other assorted pre cooked meals. You have to imagine, my expectations aren't very high. I could not have been more surprised. One of the best beef burritos I've ever had in my life. Tasted like every ingredient was home made and the beef came from my own mother pot roast. No skimping on any ingredients, hot, and not dry as the Sahara like you get with other burritos. Unreal hidden gem, will be recommending to everyone that comes through.

Great selection for its size. There are very few times I pass through Lee Vining and don't stop at the Mono Market. Their breakfast burritos are hearty and delicious (don't forget to grab a salsa from the fridge). Good people, good food, good prices.

Great place to get a snack or a few stray things one might have forgotten during the course of packing for that special camping trip. They're friendly, adhere to mask protocols, and have what you need. I got a quiche for a snack, whilst my husband grabbed a Hagen Daz ice cream bar. We also added a few things to our camping supplies. Would highly recommend.

This is a well-stocked, small local grocery store. They make their own fresh banana bread and have a surprisingly large variety of food. Organic fresh foods included. Hand-scooped ice cream, hot dogs ready to serve and a few other hot meals to go. Pricing is in keeping with its remote location.

Nice little grocery shop & deli that gets you covered in Mono lake area. We bought fresh grilled chicken, salad, beer, yogurt and local granola for dinner before going to the lake. The salad was fresh, and chicken was delicious. Nice staff as well!!

Last summer I saw that this market was selling very poor-quality, no-brand flour tortillas that are typically given away by federal and state-subsidized non-profit food banks. (My friend is a social worker and she pointed it out.) They had a huge stack of them, selling for almost three times what one would pay elsewhere. I challenged the man at the register about their source, and he did not deny that's where they came from, for free. He just shrugged his shoulders, threw up his hands and raised his eyebrows. Disgusting. I cannot shop here anymore.

I can’t fully explain why, but this store just felt great. It’s also very well stocked with anything you need including harder to find snacks (kombucha!) Also the breakfast burrito was so delicious.

We stopped in to grab a few quick snacks and get back on the road... ended up getting a bowl of soup and sitting out front to just slow down and enjoy the town for a while. They also had great banana bread!

Owner is very nice and they've got some fresh produce and most of the general necessities. More importantly though, they've got a good selection of beers and liquor!

Nice little market. Some things on the pricey side but that's expected in a small town market that's removed from everything. Found everything i needed. Produce was fresh. Burritos looked appealing but i didnt get one.

The Mono Market is a small, small town market. I was truly amazed at the number of items they carried. And I do mean amazed. I was delighted to see that they had an emphasis on organic and natural products and food items. Their prices were reasonable, equivalent to shopping at a large grocery store. Très Charmant!
