The store was large, very clean and well organized. The staff knows their aisle and every employee was working. The store had some great prices on lots of items and the quality of items in the produce looked fresh. They sell beer, liquor and wine. They have variety of vegan delights which is a huge bonus. Would def return

We visited Smart and Final to pick up several items. We found the store to be clean and well organized and the staff friendly and efficient. The only item on our list we could not get was marshmallow cream due to it being out of stock. It evidently is a popular item during the holidays because it was out of stock at five other stores we checked after visiting Smart and Final. So, they may not have marshmallow cream, but they do have ample free parking, which is always appreciated.

Employees are helpful. New location so their also learning. When their not sure of a veggie item the cashiers ask, which i love, because they are making sure u and u are not getting charged for something u didnt buy. Produce is better than the food4less in lancaster. Very clean store and meat quality is good too.

Stopped by omw home earlier this evening to buy some mochi ice cream. Box was sealed normally enough, noticed a dent in the corner but nothing serious.When I got home I noticed there was clear tape covering one of the seams. I opened the box and BOTH trays of mochi were opened! Never had this happen to me. I was always taught that if a seal is broken on something new don’t use it.I wasted $10, I live closer to rosamond so it would’ve been another 20 min drive just to try to return it. Super disappointed, I was really craving that mochi ice cream.***make sure your groceries are sealed properly before buying!!

Cashiers need to take a customer service class before getting on those registers had a very bad experience I almost got attacked by the one of the cashiers .The store is nice and well stocked but not worth being assaulted.We as customers go there to spend our money to get treated like trash no thank you!! I’ll take my money elsewhere.

The store itself and prices are excellent! But if I could I would give the night staff on 10/26/23 a negative 10 stars I would. So unprofessional and rude. We were ready to check out and didn’t see anyone on lane 4 even though the light was on. There was no cashier there so we lined up on the only other lane that was open which was lane 3 which just had one customer ahead of us. Then the cashier tells us with an attitude the other lane is open! We explained that we had already loaded our things on the conveyer belt and she seemed to be annoyed that we had gotten in her lane. The customer ahead of us didn’t even have too many things and it took forever for her to check them out. Then more workers kept telling us that the other lane was open, but to be honest by the time we would have unloaded and reload onto another lane we figured she would have finished with that one customer. Boy were we wrong. When she finally started to scan our items, no greeting no pleasantries, nothing. When she went around to scan the big case of water on the cart, the previous customer had asked her a question regarding their purchase in which case the cashier just started helping the previous customer with their issue and left us waiting while she tried to resolve their issue. While there where 5 other workers there standing around just talking to each other while we just stood there watching her assist the previous customer. After a good while one of the other workers offered to assist the previous customer so that she could finish checking us out. When we were finally done and trying to leave we couldn’t even get past the group of workers still talking. I had to tell them excuses me several times and they were still not getting out of the way to allow us to leave and when they finally did bother to move just a little bit I ended up clipping her on the elbow because she still didn’t give us enough room to get by because she was too busy chatting it up with the security guard. Just overall unpleasant and annoying experience. Definitely need training intensive training in customer service.

I had a great experience. Staff was very friendly. Store was clean and well stocked. I needed assistance getting alcohol and staff was quick to assist and very friendly. Way better than walmart.

The store was clean and offers a variety of produce that looked good.The staff? Needs replacing. This was around 3 PM on Oct 30th.Man filling bins with bell peppers. He was literally tossing them ONE BY ONE FROM 2 FEET AWAY into the bin. Talk about damaging the produce! People are buying this to EAT!The checkout woman was just as clueless. She was slow, stood there like a lump in a log after the person before me left. Chatted with someone in management. There were people in line behind me. She saw I was there. Kept chatting. With a manager!Then when checking out - she immediately opens a bag. I brought my own I tell her. She gives me side eye. (I don’t want to pay for bags when I have them!) so as she starts checking my items, I stand by the cart to bag them.she THROWS the frozen foods and they bash around just about flying out of the area. She even was taken aback. Some of them just about hit my hands. Now this was not sliding food this was throwing it! It bounced all different ways. The mini frozen pizzas bouncing around. So much so that the boxes are damaged!When I got home the bag of tomatoes was so mushy from being thrown around I didn’t even use them for slicing. It’s too far for me to go back and return them so I’ll stew them.After that she was surly and annoyed. Very rude and grumpy. Additionally I didn’t see a single smile to the customers from management.This was a negative experience. I won’t be back. There are plenty of other markets.And. I will shop in Quartz Hill. NOT Lancaster! People are neighborly and friendly in QH. In all the times I’ve been there I have never ever! Seen a produce worker throwing and bouncing around food.Oh! And the rotisserie chicken was cold. Old. Had been sitting there. Dried out. At 3 PM?Why keep it where it’s supposed to be warm but it’s cold ? Was it left over from yesterday?Was going to serve it when I got home. Nope. Cold and crusty. I’ll give it to the dogs.Having worked in food service, I was shocked to see the management allowing this. I was additionally shocked to see they were just as surly and nasty to the other customers as the checker.I was excited to see a Smart and Final. Nope. Not in Lancaster. I stop at the one in Chatsworth sometimes. They are nicer.Throwing produce and food. Rude. Rude management. Clueless checker. Checker throwing food. No thank you. I’ll go to Walmart and use self checkout. At least I can avoid rude checkers. And I’ve never seen Walmart employees throwing the produce and slamming it into bins!Went to Walmart for my next shopping trip. It was so much better. People were nice. They didn’t throw my food around. No one was bruising the produce.

My first time going it is a brand new Smart & final in the Lancaster area the manager was walking the floor and assisting customers with finding what they needed everyone was spot on friendly the store was freshly stocked very very clean and the meat department was so helpful it is a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

Let me start off by saying my mom love's this store, but I had my 1st bad experience with them....I came in to use their restroom so I asked a cashier and she said to press a button.....kinda weird if you know the code as a employee so I then asked the manager and she said the same thing..... the manager said they can't give out the code so random people don't come in using the restroom.....I told her I was a customer and even told her can she assist me herself, she said No!!!!! She said too ring the button and someone would help.....so I go back there and follow her instructions and still end up waiting right🤦...... after about 5 minutes some other people walk up and within 30 seconds a employee comes running out🤔.... so I'm thinking to myself,wow did the manager do this on purpose because of the conversation we had....so I use the restroom and walk out and out of the corner of my eye I see the employee rush into the restroom I used, mind you there was 2.....so to me it confirmed the manager was watching me on camera and in contact with her staff....I don't know if she thought I was homeless or something but it was a uncomfortable feeling.... people need to take precautions in what they do because some customers are crazy and will wait for you after work.....just know if I took the time to write this, it was serious enough

Very good quantity and variety of products. The only bad thing was the customer service and even more so considering that they haven't even been inaugurated for a week.
