Took my puppy for his first grooming on Saturday 3/16 at 11am his appointment was with Frida he was getting the spring package $84. she said she would try to make it quick since he’s still little and if they weren’t able to clip his hair they would stop since he’s still a puppy (5 months) which is understandable. They took over 4 hours which I thought was strange considering she said it takes 2-4 hours and she would try to make it quick. Once I get there excited to pick up my puppy they tell me infront of a bunch of other customers that they cut his ear and took him to the vet , who said it was superficial and just to put neosporin. They could’ve called me to let know , I had no words for them I got my puppy and walked out .

Horrible experience! I waited a hour and still didn't get service. They made us wait in room and neither pet service was started . Had to leave. Couldn't get meds refills or shots. Vet didn't even had stethoscope. Incomplete exam .. no confidence. Worse communication and time management.. I have to find new vet office

We love the Lakewood,CA Petco grooming department. Alexandra is our favorite groomer. Our dog Snowflake loves her. Alexandra does an awesome job groomingSnowflake. Alex is very professional, kind, and patient.They have many good professionally skilled groomers at this location, Alexandra just happens to be our favorite.

We took our German shepherd to the Petco in Lakewood on 12/09/23 for a wound on his face. The friendly and caring staff were awesome. This is Max’s new doctor with certainty. The doctor explained everything she was going to do and why. She and the nurse explained thoroughly regarding the medication and how to give it to Max!

Random kitten showed up at my door!! 2 weeks later I'm still looking for its forever home, but not before I bought it some toys and let it cast its spell on me. Gotta tell ya, having Thrive in the PetCo is a god send, went to check it out and make sure that all was good with him!!

Picked up some bugs for my bearded dragon but forgot to check the package and they were at least half dead ones. They exchanged without a problem. Fantastic service but check your bugs before you buy them.

The cashier associate discounted all 20 cans of food so that it could match the manufacturer’s offer of 20 for $25! So nice. Their system wasn’t updated to what the tag on the shelves offered but he still went ahead & problem solved it by altering the price of each one. 💯

This place is fine. Their prices are competitive and they are close to a yogurt establishment, which is always a win.I feel like the employee was talking down to me while I was asking about their flea control options. He did it on two occasions, so it kinda stuck w me. He had a waxed mustache, so I assume he was probably just grumpy because he hadn't tied a damsel to train tracks lately and couldn't find his monocle for work.

Unfortunately one of my 1 day old kitties passed away so i relinquish the body at this location and for a small fee i got a paw print of her plus the staff wrote an incredible nice messages on a card!! Me and my girlfriend are extremely satisfy with what we got. I wasn't expecting all of the kind words from a corporation and yet we did!! Thank you once again for the great service

My doggo is a chewer. To the extreme. She always has to have a tennis ball. She's a rescue and it's her security blanket. She drops her lasf tennis ball at my feet and gives me this face. It's 8:30. Petco closes at 9. We're only 5 minutes away. Me and my bf hop in the truck with Delilah because how can you deny this face.

Love this petco. I have been bringing my two large dogs here to get grommed and the staff are just amazing. They treat my dogs like little people. They always great them with such great energy and say good bye like they are really going to miss them. Makes me feel like they have created a special bond.

Customer service is good and the employees are nice enough but the absolute disregard and care that Petco as a company puts into the animals it sells is horrible. The fur buddies are usually okay but beware when you purchase a reptile from them.

Took my fur baby to be seen by the vet. She was having some GI issues. I wasn't to sure how the visit would go. But I am so happy and satisfied with the level of professionalism and care given by the vet techs and Vetenarian. I especially am grateful on how in detail the Dr was with helping us understand our fur baby's issue. I've been to different vets and feel judged by them and feel lost when leaving as they don't explain. One of the nurses/tech was super informative and helped us with the Vita care premier. I'm definitely coming to the Lakewood location for all our furbaby needs. Thank you!
