I went in looking for chcks here. The 2 kids/ teenagers didn't know a lot about the questions I asked. They had the chicks I wanted But when I asked if they were vaccinated they weren't sure and then went and asked an older gentleman at the register. He told them no we don't believe in vaccinations. I was literally dumbfounded. Nope won't be getting any chicks here.

Lover Carters! Used to go to a different feed store for all my needs but have been using Carters now and will be switching to giving my business to them. Cathy (spelled right?) is always so friendly and helpful! If she doesn't have something in stock, she will order it! She is very knowledgeable about the products that they carry and offers advice as well. The other people that work there are always so friendly and always willing to help and have a conversation with us!!

An old-style feed store with great service. They carry feed for a huge variety of animals. I buy food there for my 100 lb sulcata tortoise and my mini pig.

Best in town all around.... Weather you walk in to the shop or call in and arrange for a delivery, your bound to feel something special..... Don't believe me? Just go on down and find for yourself. Pretty darn certain Carter's hay and grain will have you feeling like your part of their family before you are more than 10 in the door

I can't tell you how much more helpful Carter's was than the feed store in jamul. The kid at jamul couldn't answer alot of my questions about my pups first set of shots. My friend took me to Carter's for her second set of shots and I walked out of there knowing all of the questions I had about all of her shots. Thank you for all your and for all your awesome help and great advice

They really went above and beyond to help us get what my son needed to help care for his lamb, including tips and tricks on how to lead them, and what to expect at the fair for us newbies. I'd highly recommend this place.

Never go to that place,I fed my bird with their food died second day because of them, they bring bad food people thinking this is cheap, that’s why cheap, there is so many better store you can go.

My guinea pigs are happy! I purchased a 50-pound compressed bale of timothy hay and the same of orchard grass hay. The hay is superb quality and a tenth the price of a pet store.
