Worst pharmacy I’ve ever had to deal with. They lack the slightest intelligence, customer service skills, and timeliness. They’ve allowed my dog’s medications run out on multiple occasions despite receiving multiple notices in advance, and never answer their phone despite calling multiple times per day. They also continue to refill medications that are no longer prescribed and fail to update any information despite being told multiple times. If zero or negative stars were an option, I’d give them one of those instead.

They're okay when you're actually in front of someone but if you're trying to call, I hope it's not urgent because I've called so many times in a row, on different days, and it's dammed near impossible to get someone to answer the phone. Depending on when you go into the store, the line can be ridiculous and it's a long wait to find out your medication isn't actually ready like the notification said.

I will be filing a complaint with the California State Board of Pharmacy over the conduct of and my treatment by the pharmacist on duty 11/28/23 at approximately 7:30pm.She was attempting to withhold a post-surgery prescription that came straight from the surgery department that afternoon unless I described the procedure... Not to her, she wouldn't speak to me directly, but wanted it relayed through the cashier who looked either still in or just recently out of high-school. When she finally did speak with me, now with 2 employees directly in earshot, she interrupted my answer to her question before I could finish to inform me that they don't prescribe these meds for that.Here I lost my temper and cursed, I should not have, I own that and apologize. That does not excuse her making me publicly detail my confidential medical history while she compares my experiences to their own. I can only conclude that she was doing this as some sort of power trip or assuming I am a drug addict based only on a glance as I have only ever been to this pharmacy once before, and never will again. I don't believe it is acceptable conduct for a pharmacist to label any customer with a prescription directly from a hospital surgery department as a junkie because they are wearing a hoodie in winter.She refused to give her name and only begrudgingly allowed my post-op prescription to be dispensed once I had started asking for her name to file a complaint (or maybe she saw I still had my hospital bands on?). I was only able to obtain her first name "Rhoda" by speaking with the store manager, they were unable to provide more information as the pharmacy is separate from the actual Safeway but I will be speaking with the Store Director tomorrow as there must be some avenue for a customer to obtain the necessary information.And after reading through some of the other reviews here, I am not at all surprised to see this person is the subject of several of them.tl/dr:If you don't want to have to relate your HIPAA protected personal medical history to everyone in earshot through a cashier that looks like they are still in high school because the pharmacist Rhoda will not leave her chair and for some reason requires that to dispense medication prescribed from a surgeon at a local hospital, then don't go here.

I called at 12:16pm to ask if my prescriptions were ready, after being grilled by the tech, I was informed later that afternoon. I got to the pharmacy around 4:30pm that day, stood in line until 4:58pm. When I got to the front and was called up, I was then informed it will be an hour until my meds were ready. This is unacceptable,, I will be letting Dr.

I went in the morning on 9/25/23 to have a prescription filled and was told to come back in an hour and it will be filled. I went back at 12:30pm to pick it up and then was told that it would not be ready until 3pm. I went back again a little after 3pm and was then told that they were out of the prescription and I would have to come back tomorrow for a 4th time to pick up the same prescription. They could have at least had the common curtesy to tell me this the first time so I didn’t have to waste time and gas on the trips down to Safeway. I tried calling but if you’ve ever called the Safeway pharmacy you’ll know it just goes to voicemail.

This pharmacy is so backed up all the time. Sometimes line is all the way back to the front of the store. So sick of this. Nice people but they need more help to keep the lines moving when customers are backed up like this.

Never answers the phone. Just transferred my prescriptions to this pharmacy and don't have the new prescription numbers for the one I just ordered to be filled. Called 6 times to see if it's ready and no answer. Coming from Nice so I want to know if it's ready before my wife makes the drive. She is already so busy taking care of me(disabled) and our son and working. Just answer the phones so she doesn't get to make the drive and stand in the long line for a prescription that is potentially not even ready.

Always slow and requested delivery several times only to be texted to pick up. Now my new pharmacy has sent 2 requests for my prescriptions with no response. A couple of the ladies there are very nice however not reason enough to stay.

0 Stars is really the rating I wanted to give. I have been using this pharmacy for several years while fighting my stage 4 cancer. Only once has my prescription been there on time. Today, after calling in yesterday and making sure all would be well, I stood in line for an hour to be told it would be another hour. After that hour it was another 45 minutes during which the pharmacist is shouting out how she can't wait for her and her staff to all to go home. Though they work hard , there is no respect for patient time. They are deeply understaffed and overburdened yet do nothing about it. Hire more people! I have had enough and am changing pharmacies as soon as possible. Worst place ever.

Safeway Pharmacy Staff is professional, courteous, and very caring. I truly appreciate the staff and I understand they are extremely busy and are seldom able to get to the messages on the phone. I used the phone refill option this week and had no problems with getting refills.I am getting great service and that is all I have ever asked for. Its worth those occasional times I have to make a special trip of 25 miles to pickup a prescription, but the nice, caring people make it worthwhile.

PHARMACY MANAGER, RHODA is extremely rude and truly UNPROFESSIONAL. She is NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR. If there is 0, I would give him zero stars. Do not go to this pharmacy. I've seen her yelling at her coworkers and customers at the pharmacy all the time. I truly felt bad for those who work with her. Another staff is very friendly but not RHODA. She has poor customer service and never fills my prescriptions in a timely manner. She violated HIPAA privacy law and told in front of every customer what prescriptions I am taking. I am trying to report her to the California Board of Pharmacy. This is so ridiculous, if you googled her name, she had issues with her Nevada pharmacist license. No wonder she came to California to practice. I hope the greedy company finds another pharmacist in this location. Pretty sure she can't find a job anywhere else other than Lakeport. It is so unfortunate we have such bad healthcare here in Lake County. So ridiculous

This is literally the worst pharmacy I have ever been too. I kept calling the phone untilSomeone answered (I called for 2 hours straight) and explained that I wanted my annual prescription filled in its entirety since it is 5 times cheaper that way. When I went to pick up my prescription, they had only filled 90 days and told me they weren’t going to honor my GoodRX coupon. I explained to them that they are contractually obligated BY LAW to honor the GoodRX coupon. They finally filled my annual prescription that normally would have cost $900 for not $23 after my GoodRX coupon was utilized and the full prescription discount (filling your prescriptions for an entire year is the cheapest way to get your medications btw), but this was after multiple trips and a lot of wasted time. I’m just going to pay extra and fill at Wal-Mart next time….this Safeway pharmacy tries to price-gouge their customers by trying not to fill the entire prescription and by only filling partially. Horribly long wait times, no one answers the phone, price-gouging customers, not honoring GoodRX coupons, and wasting my time/money/gas by forcing me to come back multiple times to finally get them to fill my prescription correctly. If you value your sanity, time and money, never step foot in this poorly run Pharmacy. Probably one of the worst in the nation to be honest.

They refilled one prescription that I wasn't expecting/didn't need. The one marked "urgent" was not filled. Since I only expected 2 bottles, and got 2, I didn't notice the mistake till I got home. As a result, I almost took an additional dose of the unexpected medication. Good thing I caught myself!I called my doctor and was told the "urgent" prescription (which is new) was called in to Safeway and should've been there. They advised me to call the pharmacy. I've been trying to reach them for over an hour. Nobody answers the phone. I get a recording saying that their voice mail is not accepting messages due to inquiries about Covid-19 vaccinations (does this mean they don't want to be bothered with questions?). I need this medication and cannot drive now. I was lucky to get a ride today. They don't deliver, and I need this medication before Sunday (next available ride). They really screwed up this time. And I'm the one who has to suffer.

I called to have an RX for my daughter transferred on Friday night right when we got out of ER, before they closed! Never heard back so I called 3 times waited on hold for over 1 hr and 45 min. Some lady picks up and says no we can’t transfer, so I say “ok I’m on my way now I live in Clearlake…then she tells me they dont have the medicine and are sending the RX back to the ER, so I call the ER they say that’s never been done before and they have not received the request from the pharmacy. So by now it’s Sunday they are closed!!!Monday comes and I had to wait an hour and a half, I thanked the lady at the register for helping me so polite!! Then a woman calls from the back of the counter, “I told you I’d return the Rx to the Dr at the ER. I HAVE IT INMY HAND NOW, I said that’s what you said but you gave me the run around for days, and you never did turn it back in to ER so I could fill it elsewhere!! I said who are you to play god??She said that I was not allowed back in the store and good luck because the CVS doesn’t have their license for anything besides OTC… she was the worse person I have ever encountered in customer service.I believe her name was Ronda or something like that I told the assistant manager to tell and I’m going to continue on to Ca Medical Licensing board for pharmaceutical

I have been using this pharmacy since I moved here in 2016. I understand after there was an issue with CVS Pharmacy across the parking lot losing their ability to dispense narcotics they became increasingly busy. I also understand the insane amount of stress and the risk the employees were taking during the pandemic. Most of the pharmacy staff is really nice and I like them a lot. But like many others have said the fact that they have not been answering the phone for the last few months has really been a pain. I was taking care of someone that covid and when she was released from the hospital late one afternoon I had to make sure her prescription was filled before they closed but they would not answer the phone, so I had to race from Hidden Valley to Lakeport and I barely made it in time and then I had to wait while they filled the prescriptions. And then for the last 2 days my veterinarian has been trying to call in a very important medication for my dog and they never answered the phone. I finally told them to call it into another pharmacy because my dog cannot wait another day for his medication. I will always be so appreciative of the staff member who offered to give me the Covid vaccine. It was the end of the day and they had a no-show and the dose was going to go bad. It was still another few weeks before my age group was available to get it but I was the last person in line so they offered it to me and I will be forever grateful.

I’ve had absolutely HORRIBLE experiences with this pharmacy. Never had a decent or easy experience. I’ve been hung up on countless times while trying to get a prescription, hospitalized because the pharmacy’s lack of ability to actually answer a phone or fill prescriptions that are necessary for patients to get by day to day. They’ve been nothing but rude, unhelpful and difficult. I’ve sadly never had such a negative or difficult experience with a pharmacy, especially a Safeway one. Horrible, may even have to drive the hour to a different pharmacy where we live.

I've never seen a professional business so completely disorganized. The pharmacist or system is not where ot needs to be. They have NEVER ONCE had an order correct. My wife belongs there and has changed pharmacies but required to get the original scripts filled at Safeway first before transferring, which sounds bogus too. But regardless, Safeway said the order of 2 scripts were ready, and after an hour in line waiting, only one was ready....on par for the course as always....

I tried to call Safeway over 10 times in a row to see if I could pick up medicine for my wife, at the advice of the hospital, after she had a c section birth as she can't go herself. The pharmacy never answered. I left a message asking them to call me back if it was convenient for them. I remember seeing an add on my reciept to switch to their pharmacy for free groceries. I see now why they need to advertise. I would stay away. You don't want to rely on someone who sees its customers as a nuisance, because when you need that extra level of service, they will always let you down.

Worst customer service ever!!! They do NOT answer the phone and you can't leave a message. In order to find out if a prescription is ready, you have to physically go in. I've filled a compliant with the corporate office twice and have never received a call back from them. There is one particular clerk that works there and I have experienced her rudeness more than once. I have also witnessed countless rudeness to other customers. She's been there for quite awhile is chunky and wears glasses. It took me 6 weeks to get a prescription from them. 😤😤😡😡

Wouldn’t answer the phone. I left messages. Never got a call back. Multiple days. Multiple messages. Had to show up in person to get a response on whether my a script had been transferred. I know everyone is overworked and busy with the state of the world but answering the phone and returning messages is a small ask especially if it can prevent someone from making an unnecessary in person trip during a pandemic.

Three hour lunch break just as I got to the window? So, now I have to wait until 3:00. Too far to go home and back. Every single time I go to this pharmacy there’s an issue. And they told me my prescription wasn’t even ready. They will fill it after 3:00. It was supposed to be ready at 10:00. I’ve never experienced such poor attitudes and been jerked around more than since using this pharmacy.

This pharmacy is fine as long as you don't need to either A) get ahold of them on the phone B) get any narcotic-type medications. My mother recently broke her ankle and I had the lovely time trying to get Percocet from this pharmacy. Every time I go in there it is a fight. At one point they straight up lied to my face and said the Dr sent it in to another Safeway. (We called the dr and confirmed that was a lie, dr said that the pharmacy canceled it from their end) This time they said that the dr said it was her back and not her ankle (she also has back issues so im guessing that's why it got crossed) they said yes they did have a note saying her ankle was recently broken, but since it said it was her back they could not give it to me. I was told at the check-out line that they recently got a new pharmacist so this may be part of the issue.

No one answered the phones.. Left 5 message over 5 days no one returned call. I was trying to get meds for husband coming home from hospital. They did NOT have 2 of 3 meds he needed. No one on lakeport side of the lake had the meds. Clearlake walmart had them. I could not get them filled because safeway would not answer their phone so walmart could request a transfer of perscription. Very under staffed...

They dont seem to care. They wouldnt fill my script after i was at the e.r. on sunday at 1 pm because she said they were closed. But they were not closed. I went to CVS instead and they fill my prescrition fast and friendly service.

No consept of customer service. I have stood at the window with 4 people in the pharmacy and not one ever acknowledged me. Called out to ghem and was told "be right with you" and egnored again. Not a one time experience.
