Unkempt land, over grown and tall weeds, bathrooms are outdated and a store thats never open. The water isnt clean, its slimmy and makes pets sick. Water is unsafe. Manager does not manage the property, sits on phone in store or store is never open. Used to be nice place, would not recommend anymore with current management and upkeep.

Nice campground that is a little off the freeway. Reasonably quiet, clean, & easy to get in & out. My site was about 70' long, so I didn't have to unhook for the night. I would definitely stay here again.

Trail In is a pleasant, tidy place to stop along I5. Reasonably priced and even better with a Passport America membership. The way it’s positioned significantly reduces highway noise. Rashell was very kind and generous to us during our quick one night stay.

Spent 1 night here while traveling through the area. Found the owner quite personable and helpful when pointing out the many things to do in the area. He's just taken the site over recently so there were just the 10 or so pull through sites out front. Once he gets the other campsites set up, and upgrades the bathrooms and pool, it will be a better place to stay.

I really can't praise the staff at this campground enough. After a very long week of clearing my house out and loading up a big trailer with a car, and SUV full of my stuff my trailer broke a leaf spring on the 5. Trail in had space for me, booked me in the evening and was very flexible on if I needed only one night or a week or two based on parts availability and if I would need to leave it there. I was able to get the parts the next day and get it fixed and make it back to Montana. The staff was incredibly friendly, the site safe, quiet, well stocked. The restroom and shower were amazing, especially the shower. While not aesthetically beautiful, it was incredibly functional, extremely hot or cold water on demand with high water pressure, which was such a blessing after being covered in dirt and blood replacing the suspension on a trailer in 100 degree weather.Thank you!

Honestly the nicest, cutest, peacefulist place I have been to in a long time. The regulars that live there, are so sweet and very helpful. The new manager rashell is amazingly sweet. She's very helpful and informative. She's new to the area but seems to have hit the ground running and turned that cute store into something worth checking out. Great prices, friendly faces, get treated like family and enjoy the amazing people I got to meet and Can not wait to go back to.

Small place but it was super chill. Good pull through site. 50 and 30 amp available. If you have passport America, it is only honored for One night, then full price. It was very close to lake Shasta. Just up the road you’ll see my Shasta. Make sure to stop at the view point.

An adorable small camp ground/RV Spot in the Shasta Lake area, very easy access to I5. This review is not too specifically go over my experience as a camper there, more to the amazing camp host leanne. My wife and I have a concession business, had a vehicle breakdown as we were moving trucks and trailers between California and Oregon and as an emergency needed to park a truck and concessions trailer there at the campground while we return to Oregon to get a tow vehicle. Leanne very generously allowed me to park both truck and trailer there for a few days until I could return. She made certain they were safe, secure and looked after. Leanne is absolutely a very kind person and I'm certain that if one were to stay there camping you would experience that in abundance. To that end, my wife and I have decided now that we're aware of her cute little campground, we absolutely will be returning there to support her business the way that she supported ours in an act of kindness. Thank you very much Leanne!

It’s fine for a quick overnight stay. $20 for a no service tent site. We slept in the van and didn’t need hookups(which are available). The mens bathroom needs a serious cleaning. Half the spaces are long term renters. Ten spaces or so are pull through with hookups mostly flat. It’s a good in between stop for us heading south. Some traffic noise but not too bad.

I really wanted to like this place. The girl I talked to on the phone and in the office was very friendly and professional. But I can't get past the lack of anything resembling decent business practices. The park is mostly inhabited by old trailers that don't look like they could move if they wanted to. Residents seemed friendly enough. The front porch of the office is cluttered with garbage and boxes and lawn mowers. The swimming pool looks like it hasn't been used in years; green and algae covered. The frogs like it though. Restrooms have signs on the doors saying you need to come to the office for a key. It was after closing so I couldn't check them out. Our spot was okay and hookups worked fine. I would reluctantly tell you to pass this one by.

This is a small, rustic campground. Don't let the appearance fool you. The site was pretty level and wasn't crowded. Run by a real pleasant gentleman. Services are good. No hassles of any kind. Enjoyed our relaxing overnight stay.

Nothing fancy. Local residents allow there dogs to roam freely, they're friendly, but we have small dogs, which are scared of big dogs. The pool is shabby, but swimming was nice anyways, with 101° outside temperature! Okay place....

This is a small campground with a new owner that’s making lots of improvements. We found this park while heading south on I-5 in CA. They have full hookups with 50 amp. The owner is a really friendly man that is onsite/in the office. The water here is naturally soft and is wonderful!! Quiet place with fairly level gravel sites. Some shade. Beautiful lake nearby for water activities and fishing.

Just passing through, stayed for one night under Passport American for $18 (Full price $36). Although the reviews seem to be mixed, we found this park to be a pleasant place to spend our evening. The new manager is a friendly fellow and is working to improve the parks atmosphere. There are several long-term residents, but they are all on the back side of the park and we did not see any of them except for a couple of kids riding their bikes. There are 8 or 9 gravel pull-thru sites for short stays in the front and they all provide full hook-ups (W/S/E 30 & 50 Amp) placed towards the back of the space. Our site was slightly uneven (side to side) but long enough we did not have to unhook and we are @ 62 FT long.So yes, if you are looking for a 5 stars resort this is not be for you, but if you are looking for a nice Mom and Pop park to overnight, we highly recommend giving it a chance.

I really loved this place but it seems as tho Bruce aka Harlan has changedMy husband and I would always try to help around there just out of the kindness of our hearts cause we stayed there like cleaning the bathrooms would pick up the trash around there keeping it picked up around there not just cause we stayed there but I liked the fact that everyone who stays there in a permanent spot would take turns looking out for eachother and the CampgroundLove the fact that a few of the people who stay there are very welcoming and is why I feel like its my home away from home but the manager Bruce aka Harlan never spoke to us when there was an issue with the electricity, my husband n I would always have to go to him before he even knew about it! On top of the fact that I have had several things come up missing n when I have talk to harlan about it he does nothing about the situation! My husband and I put in an application to rent one of there permanent spots there after Harlan told us we could Rent there n the next day when we went to pay rent he told us we had til the end of the day but we had no leave and when I asked him why he was caught in a lie and said it was cause people were complaining cause of my dog but what he didn't know was that my dog wasn't there so it couldn't of been cause of my dog n couldnt give me a reason why we had to leave! I found out before we left that day from Harlan himself while he was talking to a tenant there that she didn't want anyone near her tent site n that was the reason he told us we had to leave! Also if Your like me who uses my cell phone for just about everything than I must say that you get no phone service out there at all!

Don't use this place or believe Passport America. Never answered phone on the website. Went to Google and used that phone number, answered and said campground was not taking anyone anymore.

Host is rude. More homeless camp then RV park. General store is trashy and poorly stocked. 15 min shower limit. Junk all over the place. Broken down cars washing machines ect. Over priced for what they offer.
