This lodge was really really cute! We only stayed one night but it was perfect for a short stay.We arrived around 9:30pm and Annie helped us get checked in and was so warm and welcoming, really made our visit feel homey!I'm a really light sleeper and although it was by the freeway, noises were faint and really not a problem. We brought our dog and there was a large area for him to go potty and sniff around! The room itself was pretty outdated but we really enjoyed that vintage feel! There was hot water, AC worked well, they were generous with soaps and towels, and Annie let us know to give her a call if we needed anything! We felt safe the entire time, not very many options for food around but we didn't mind, and its a pretty area too, very woody and trees everywhere!Very good service and a super cute place, I'd definitely stay here again. :)

Avoid this place at all costs. The hosts/lodge owners are incredibly inhospitable and unwilling to help. Our stay turned into a nightmare when we discovered our room had no heater in the middle of a freezing night with sub-zero temperatures outside. Despite the presence of other vacant rooms, no alternatives were offered. They begrudgingly gave us a small portable heater for a spacious room, which didn't even work. When we requested an additional heater, the only solution they provided was to check out.STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST VISITING THIS PLACE!

One night stop.We needed a place to stop on our way back home from Olympia. Did a little research and this place fit our needs. We were running a little behind schedule, when we got a call from the Lodge. Told them we might be late, asked us to call at 9:30pm if we thought we would be after 10pm. Arrived right around 9:30pm.Was greeted by a nice lady in the office, gave me our key and directions to the room and parking. The room was clean, rooms are dated, but we liked that, (loved the vintage Kenmore kitchenette and furniture.Bed was clean and comfortable (additional pillow would've been nice).Would definitely stay here again.

This place is a hidden gem. 💎We were looking for a place last minute near Mount Shasta. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. Place was clean and comfortable. Also, Club Klondike bar and restaurant is located next door and is absolutely delicious. 👌Highly recommend this stay.

This place could be so nice but no one keeps it up the laundry room was nasty in the rooms around all the windows is black with mold/mildew the shower drips non stop and the refrigerator freezes everything even at lowest temperature the comforter was horrible smells and dirty and then they have cats running around and spraying so you get to smell cat piss all day Just sad could be a very nice place

Do not stay here. The front desk clerk was super rude when we arrived, obviously upset that we did not get to the place on their time schedule but rather our own. I was called three times prior to arriving to ask when we would arrive, each time being reminded that they close at 10pm. We arrived at 7pm. This is a hotel, not my in-laws house and I don't appreciate the harassment. On to the place itself. Rusty doors, giant crickets in bathroom, constant water leak from shower, air conditioner sounds like a semi-truck engine and doesn't cool, trains go by and shake the walls, bikers changing their oil in their underwear on the front lawn with no regard for children present.Better off saving your money and sleeping at a rest area.

We stayed two nights. These people were SO nice! Pet friendly, and very welcoming, in general. GREAT prices for the area! It's an older hotel, and feels like one. Kind of a 50s atmosphere. I like it! The room was immaculately clean! Still, not a place for hotel snobs. No mint on the pillow, or fluffy bathrobes. But right in the heart of the beautiful Shasta Lake, Cascades, recreation region, at an amazing price. And nice people, too! What more could you ask for?

Lake Shasta Lodge was a competitively priced, no-fuss, tidy place to stay that was conveniently located by many trailheads and picnic spots. The property felt really clean and safe, which is always important to me. The room was spacious and minimal, which was perfect for the price point. The fridge and microwave in the room were both clean and worked well. The owner was friendly, made sure to check in with me prior to my arrival which I appreciated, and very helpful. The location was also really easy for getting on and off the highway. I would definitely stay here again

We found this online, there is actually not much located around the lodge as far as dining etc. There was a tavern, but we did not want to take the kids in. So we headed down the road a little further for dinner. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. However, the beds were quite uncomfortable. I think if you are on a fishing trip with your friends, this would be a perfect stop.

It’s an older motel, but it was clean and the customer service was incredible. We forgot something and they worked with us to get it shipped to our home. Great people. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for a few nights before Halloween. The rooms are incredibly small, and the TV is even tinier. Even with my glasses on, I had a hard time seeing anything on the screen from the bed. That's not a deal breaker though. We had bugs in our bathroom every day, and on the 3rd day, we came back after being out all day, and immediately upon turning on the lights, there were at least 3 adolescent roaches running around. We had no open food or drink in the room. Needless to say, we checked out immediately and got a hotel in Redding

Super-cute lodge from a bygone era. It’s always nice to take a peaceful step back in time. The room was clean, quiet, and had all the amenities - reserved parking space, TV, wifi, kitchenette. I loved the small porch area out front. I was able to enjoy the fresh morning air while I worked.Of note, they reached out to us by phone to make sure we were OK and accommodated our very late check-in with no problem at all. I cannot believe what a great value this was. We will definitely be visiting again.

I stay here often when my buddies and I go fishing at Shasta lake. This lodge has always been really friendly and accommodating. The two bed, rooms are very spacious with a dining table. They have a gated boat parking in the back which is nice. They have a kitchenette with pans and utensils. My wife and I went down for the weekend and it was just as expected. Clean, friendly, good people, the local bar and grill is pretty tasty too. Lots of homemade food.

Clean, comfortable, accommodating. It had a kitchenette so we could cook, a rec room with Fuzbol, pool!! The outside area has picnic tables, a couple grills, outdoor porch seating in front of rec room and horseshoes. It was all beautifully lit with bistro lights for night time. Fully enjoyed our time here. The owner even gave us a styro cooler when ours broke. So kind. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Booked on Priceline. Owner / manager went above and beyond to communicate with me that they do not have 24 hour check-in available. Then they helped me find a local motel that can accommodate my hiking group during our stay. Top notch customer service. I will definitely be back :)

Excellent customer service! Nice clean rooms with comfortable beds as well. My family was checked in rather late at night and the gentleman in the front office was willing to work with us. In the morning we checked out leaving my daughters favorite stuffed animal behind. They took the time to ship it back to us! I was so grateful. My family will definitely be returning to visit this lodge when we're in Northern California!

It's a decent small hotel/lodge. I stopped here at night while I was on a road trip. The room is clean and they have a kitchenette with some old kitchen utensils and cutlery. The design is rustic. My only issue is that the lighting outside the building was too dim, not bright enough to see.

So happy to find this little hiding spot! Without a doubt, I give my stay a 5 star for sure. The rooms were super clean, had a great time at the BBQ, but the best part was kicking back, playing pool in the pool room watching the game in the nice cool A/C. The staff was great as well. I would like to really thank the owner Dave. Very down to earth guy, cool dude who made our stay all that much better. Can't wait to visit again.

I have family in the area, so I'm there several times a summer and a couple of times in the winter. I've tried every motel in town and this is my third stay here and it's the best for my needs. It's quiet enough (I5 50ft away notwithstanding), the price is good, and my basic room suits my basic needs. And they've never given me fleas, as happened at another place in town. I mean, that's a win right there, no?

It was fine over all for the price. But the sheets had hairs on them. One of the blankets had some sort of hard stain. The shower handles leaked. It was okay other than that If you want a cheap hotel on your travels.

My husband and I were traveling from Arizona to Washington with our dog and needed a place in the morning, to stay on track for our move. I spoke with Susan over the phone and arranged the date and time for our arrival. She was so sweet on the phone and made securing a room easy. We arrived around 9am and Susan was there with a blanket for our dog and heater on. She was just as sweet as when we talked over the phone and made every accommodation she could. We showered and slept and around 3pm I went over to the Klondike Club to grab some food, her recommendation. The food was amazing and she had called ahead and asked them to throw in a piece of cake, on her!! What a sweetie. The unit was what I expected from an old Lodge off the side of the I-5. Being from a small mountain town myself, it was what I expected. Small, cute, friendly and just enough to get us on the road again. It was a little run down (not too bad though) but as Susan explained, there had been a different property manager in the past who really did not invest in making this place enjoyable or inviting. She explained to me all the things she hopes to be able to accomplish while managing this location and I see a bright future for this little lodge. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This was a welcomed place for my teen daughter & I to stay at. We were driving through & were going to stay at Motel 6 in Weed. The room wreaked of cigarettes even though it was a non smoking. We got back on the road & called this Lodge. First thing I asked was if the room smells like cigarettes. David assured me that it didn't. In fact he was so sure that if it did he'd pay ME $10! We were not disappointed. He steam cleans the wood floors after every guest stays. This was the cutest quaint little place for us to rest our weary heads at 2 a.m.Only downside, we didn't have time to stay longer!Price was very reasonable.

Had a great stay here. Close to some awesome destinations. They and the business next door are a good place to stop along your travels. It was the day that everything reopened after the shelter in place order and they were ready to accept the influx. They were fully booked. Great job!

I would give this place a negative 10 stars if I could. This place is a absolute joke. Stayed one night paid $95 to be charged another $22 for a towel that I used to clean up soda because there was no paper towels in the room. And then also said the 22$ was for the 2 dishes I didn’t wash. When you call to ask about it they want to scream at you and tell you they had to throw the 3 towels away ( I like to know about this 3rd towel when there was only 2 towels in the room) and one towel was still hanging up. The manager was rude and need to learn customer service. They straight said we rather of u not cleaned it up and ruined the floor (what so they could charge u for that). Ridiculous and disrespectful place!!!

The word is that this place is under new management beginning 6 months ago.Despite being parallel to the 5, it was remarkably quiet during our afternoon to morning stay. My high rating does not imply that this is a 5 star motel. It is not, but within the category of old motels, this place was notably clean, quiet, bedbug free, and drama free, something which I cannot say about my experience with many other old motels in California.

A great find. My wife and I were traveling from Bend, Or. to Fremont when we had a 2nd. flat tire on our trailer. We were stuck along I-5 on Sunday evening with no spare (already used it earlier). We couldn't get anybody to come help us for any price. I checked maps on my phone and saw this Lodge and decided to tow my trailer very slowly and try to make it here. We arrived after 8:00 pm and met some very friendly help. David (owner) gave us a room at new winter rates and let me park my truck and trailer in the front under the lights. We could not have found a better place to go and will now stop here on our trips back and forth. Nice clean rooms, comfortable bed and a great experience. I have already told some friends about this diamond in the mountains and they can't wait to check it out. We also got to have a drink in the Klondike bar that we always wanted to visit. Highly recommend spending a night here. Thank you David. We'll bring more cookies.
