I had a worst experience with this pharmacy TODAY. I am nurse at an outpatient clinic. I called Rite Aid, Lake Isabella FIVE TIMES. Two in the morning and three in the afternoon. Lo and behold, no one answered the call. I waited five minutes each call. I don't know why this pharmacy exist with the worst customer service.

Worst pharmacy ever!!! You have two good people. Ikena Iberi and Karen Hamilton. All the rest need weeks of customer service and sensitivity training. I suggest 6-8 weeks of training. And why, WHY!! Do they never answer their phone. This is an awful pharmacy!! This pharmacy holds this community hostage. It all comes from the top. I see a lot of “Owner” responses. I suggest… the “Owner” come and watch. In disguise because they all know what he looks likes…again good people come from the top and the TOP!! SUCKS!! If we had another 7 day a week pharmacy. Believe me this…WE10,000 of us would be going there. Again, rudeness, disprepectfullness, unkindness comes from the top. So “Owner”. Wake up!!! And the list of bad attitudes to customers goes on.

Here in Central Nowhere, Rite Aid is one of 3 pharmacies, and unfortunately the one our insurance forces us to use. While they do have several good employees, the quality of service overall is very poor. Very slow to fill prescriptions. In particular, there's Kenneth. When asked when a prescription will be ready, his routine answer is either "I dunno" or "it'll be a while," and declines to say if "a while" might be an hour or a month. If you have options, don't use this pharmacy.

Very poor service in the pharmacy. Very rude and every month I have delays getting very common medicine. Sick and tired of this pharmacy for my medicine. They just don't care. Been waiting nearly two weeks for my diabetes medication and all they will offer is... it's not my fault. Will be changing to delivery from my insurance asap.

The worst pharmacy not only on this planet but in all universe. I hope the headquarters office reads those reviews and fire all the staff and get some one who actually wants to work. This people know it’s only pharmacy in the area and they don’t give a damn about anything. I just spend on hold more than one hour and hang up . Ones took me 6 months to get one of my meds from them and now couldn’t get the other one at all For more then two months. So how do you stay in business if you simply don’t give people their prescription meds? Unbelievable.

Never answer there phone in pharmacy. I’ve been on the phone for 1 hour pressing 3 when the voice comes back on and says press three for the pharmacy novanswe Did that 23 times still no answer??? Why I guess there going out of business is what I heard. A bunch all over the state has already gone out of bus’s guess it’s time to get a new pharmacist!!

Never have the meds I, need. That's ANY OF THE MEDS I NEED. AND AFTER CALLING TO SEE IF THEY will all be READY I END UP ON HOL FOR NO LESS THAN 30 MINUTES! Then in line for another 20 minutes to be told that they have only they have 2 of the 5 ready after I was told earlier they would be be done all 6 so I won't have to wait ! Yes sure as in usual 3 were ready and the3 most important , my psyche meds. The ladies up front at the floor registers are great! But your pharmacy SUCKS AND IS THE BIGGEST LAUGHINGSTOCK to all your pharmacies!

Worst service in lake Isabella, and that's saying a lot considering all the services in this town suck. The people who work there and doing the best they can with horrible management pulling their strings.

Update: 3/12/24 Pharmacy could do better layerly on hospital called in medications requests, ihad Surgery in Bakersfield Hospital called on precriptions hours before i got to pharmacy to have then pickred up only to hear they were not filled, wait was 3 hours, not good service!!! I depend on Riteaid for my needs for over 24 years now, im not happy that when medications called in from a hospital do not take a priority.Previous Post 2023Great store, I see that many customers have had various experiences with the Pharmacy Employees, I've been going to Rite Aid for over 20yrs, and my experience has overall been a good one everybody does there best to get the job done, everybody has bad days that you can't help but sense, everybody can't be perfect all the time, where human. Making a mistake filling a prescription is not acceptable, was it the doctors order that was wrong or was it the pharmacist. I support the Lake Isabella employees 110% because they consistently try to do there best.

They never answer their phone! How is it, that they ask you to call for questions, but never bother to answer the only phone they have? This means they ignore calls or don't have the ringer turned up. I live 14 miles away and it would be great to be able to call ahead to see if my perscription is ready. But, I am expected to wait for a text instead. I believe this is the worse pharmacy I have had to deal with ever! Steer clear if you want personal service from this business.

Worst pharmacy I've ever been too. The doc sent over a prescription last night, I tried to call to see if it was ready but kept getting a busy signal. Drove over there and they said that there was no prescription. Ok, called doc in the morning, they said they would send it again. Tried calling again several times, but the line was still busy. Went over around noon figuring it must be ready by then. This time they had the script, just didn't have the time to fill it yet. Mind you, I counted 8 people hanging around behind the counter, but it sure seemed like they were more interested in talking with each other than filling orders. I mentioned the phone issues and the response was, "it's not working, something happened to it." OK then. They told me to come back in 1-2 hours, so that's what I did. This time there was a problem with the insurance. I was so exasperated that I told them I would pay cash. But for some reason that wasn't allowed, go figure. Turns out that it was their mistake and they had the insurance info all along. Bottom line: there are other pharmacies in the KRV and I hope that this review helps you make the right choice for you.

Never have my medications in stocks, poor customer service, says prescription not in system, then I call back and talk to someone else and they find the prescription in system. The gentleman that answers my call is always in a rush. Very rude and unprofessional. If I had a choice of a known pharmacy, I definitely would go there, but unfortunately I'm stuck with Rite Aide

The pharmacy if off the charts bad. Super slow. You will typically have to wait nearly 24 hours for any and all prescriptions. If you call them and lean on them, sometimes you can get them to do their job and get the prescription/s within 8 to 10 hours. That's if you're lucky. Now I get to get a pretend pre written response from "rite-aid owner" which will say we're sorry about your experience, please contact customer service about your experience. Based on all the 1 star reviews that are overwhelmingly about the pharmacy, this leads to nothing, and it's just an effort to fool customers into believing that they have any intention of resolving this ongoing issue. The bottom line is that their pharmacy employees are the lowest common denominator. They are people who couldn't hack it anywhere viable. Their ineptitude actually tracks with the overall quality of things in this valley

6 horrible Christmas songs in, and I am still on hold just to see if my prescription is available. This pharmacy is the absolute worst. Now cue the robo apology.

The associates in-store and in-pharmacy are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Every associate I have dealt with has been personable and helpful and goes out of their way to help.

Overall I enjoy going to rite aid. There are a couple of employees that need more training in customer service, but in general if you approach in a kind manner than be angry the recipient is less to be rude. The pharmacist was very helpful a few months back when my husband was bit by a black widow spider and we weren't in the system yet. A smile or even a good morning helps.

The crew at our local rite aid do a great job, in spite of everyone that is yelling at them & angry for something they, or their doctors office didnt do. They are always trying so hard to please everyone. Try to put yourself in their shoes & see how you would do! Stand back over to the side, and just watch for a minute. I dare you! Anyway, thank you to the pharmacists & all the staff for your dedication & hard work!

I've been going there for at least 10 years or more, overall the employees are grouchy, and most are bordering on being rude. Typical of the shops up here, they are the only option we have (if you don't want to drive 50 miles to Bakersfield) and they know it. It's them or really, nobody else. So you have to put up with the unhelpful and slow service. Get used to it and don't let it bother you, just expect crummy service.Edited to add: I went to the pharmacy just this morning at 8 am, the store was open but not the pharmacy, it was supposed to be open at 8 am as well. After a few excuses as to why the pharmacy was closed, the employee finally said, "well he's just late". They have such a loose way of operating, but as I stated before, their attitude is too bad, if you don't like it, go somewhere else.

Kenneth is a seasoned professional, very helpful, and kind. I give him 5 stars. The pharmacy probably needs expansion to provide more timely service to locals.

This Rite Aid is truly one of the worst. I'm writing this review after months of steadily growing aggravation. The people who work on the floor are perfectly lovely, with a few exception of people I may have just caught on a bad day. BUT THE PHARMACY STAFF. They could really care less about who you are and your needs and your questions. The pharmacist himself, I believe his name is Ikenny, is also perfectly lovely. I have never had a bad interaction with him. But the women working in the pharmacy are rude beyond words.I'm finally writing up this review after I had a 10am vaccine appointment and was annoyed when I arrived to my appointment early to find out despite having 10am appointments, they hadn't taken the vaccines out early enough and couldn't do shots until at least 10:30am. I have to drive 30 minutes to get to this Rite Aid so despite being a minor inconvenience in the long run, this really threw off my schedule for the day. When trying to ask Cindy "What is the process of delayed scheduling; as in, will I still take priority over a person who has a 10:30 appointment?" she wouldn't even let me get my question out. It went: "What is..." "It's the Moderna." "No, what is the process..." "Yes, it's processed." and at that point I was so annoyed with her I gave up, because clearly she either didn't care to ensure customer satisfaction or the quote "Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference" applied. This was not the first time Cindy had left me feeling unsatisfied with my visit. However, one woman who works there is so socially inept, I am unsure as to how she got a customer service job in the first place. The one time I got close enough to see her name tag, she wasn't even wearing one (probably to avoid being called out in a review such as this). She is ALWAYS having a conversation with someone in the pharmacy and goes out of her way to ensure you know you are not invited to join the conversation. For example, as I was walking up to the window once, she was walking through and said "Hi," so I said "Hi" back. She briefly turns to me and says, "Not you." Excuse me? Even if she wasn't talking to me, she could have just let it go but instead wanted to ensure I knew I was not worth .03 seconds of her time for a simple greeting. I don't know her name so I will describe her so you know what to expect when you see her: She is middle-age-ish (probably VERY late 30's or early 40's), quite heavy set, blondish curly hair usually done up in a pony-tail. However, if you're in the vicinity of the pharmacy and you hear a woman talking loudly and constantly about nothing, you'll know she's there. It's like she's always trying out for a reality TV show no one wants her on.In general, if they can't find something in 5 seconds (like sudafed kept behind the counter), you're out of luck. If it takes even 6 seconds to find, it doesn't exist in this Rite Aid, as far as this staff is concerned. You, as a customer, are an inconvenience. My husband is terminally ill. I asked if there was anything special we had to do or sign to ensure I could pick up his prescriptions, they ensured me I would have no issues, then refused to allow me to pick them up without him (despite him barely being able to walk). They will always tell you want you want to hear and do the opposite in the rudest possible way.I love country living - but the biggest downside is people who take advantage of being one of, if not the only option. They can get away with being rude because where else are you going to go? Well, at this point, I may switch my patronage over to the sweet ladies at The Drug Store in Kernville or the nice folks at the Mt Mesa Pharmacy - because there ARE other options. I'd rather make two separate trips than deal with the absolute jerks who work here. I don't expect VIP treatment and I don't expect to become best friends - all I expect is general courtesy and standard service from someone whose job is to serve the customer and I just don't get that here and neither will you.

Worst pharmacy ever. Always out of medications and super difficult to get anything filled. If they're out of your medications they're rude and make their older patients cry. In a small town so not many options and this location knows it and THEY DON'T CARE. Would have given them 0 stars if I could. -10 out of 10 would never recommend

The worst Rite Aid I have ever been to! The pharmacist was berating another employee in front of customers. They keep removing sections and now seems more like a five and dime than a Rite Aid. I live locally and used to get a lot of fishing supplies there but they took the section out to stock water instead! It takes forever long to fill a prescription and they have even lied when they forgot to fill one, saying they were out of stock on that med, or that my insurance didn't cover it! They really need to revamp this store before another chain comes to town and doe's it better!

What you should know about our local Rite Aid: Even if you are in the last days of your life, or if your mother or child is, this staff may without flinching lie to you that a doctor's office is tardy in responding to a fax that hasn't actually been sent. This pharmacy is understaffed, and what staff there is is comprised of team players whose lack of humanity enables them to tell a hundred lies a day to those in need of medication. When this staff denies you service, which they are apt to do to anyone who voices a complaint, they're breaking rules. You can complain all you like, and more people should, about this horror show passing itself off as a pharmacy. Our Rite Aid stands as evidence that not enough has changed in our community in the less than twenty years since seven residents of our hospital's nursing center were murdered for annoying the staff with complaints. It didn't take one doctor to bring about those murders - it took a collective mindset of the sort that thrives at Rite Aid. Meanwhile, there are other local pharmacies that will fill your prescriptions on the same day they receive them. If they can't, they will not lie to you about it. I can't speak to how they handle complaints, because I've never had a reason to complain. Have respect for yourself, for your loved ones, for anyone who might be sickly or in pain, and join the crowd who do not tolerate our Rite Aid Pharmacy. They are a menace to our health, and we don't need them. -- Scott Schrader, Lake Isabella, CA

I had to change my review. I have been trying to get through to them for a week now. At least 3 hours on hold so far, jumping through automated loops. They need to hire more people.

Blue haired chick at the front counter conducted herself in a rude, exasperated manner as if she were doing me a favor ringing up my items.Terrible attitude.Surprised someone has not yanked that excessive face jewelry out of her nose. Yet.The store is frequented by such a volume of trashy folks that apparently even the polite, non shop-lifting normal folks get treated like trash.Gross!

The Rite Aid in Lake Isabella CA has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The staff in the pharmacy is incredibly rude and the pharmacist tries to play doctor by saying when he will fill my prescriptions, even when my Dr gives the ok to fill it a day or so early he refuses and is so rude about it, I am tempted to turn him in for practicing medicine without a license. I am transferring all my prescriptions to another pharmacy. The Rite Aid in MA that I used to go to was great but this one is horrible. I honestly don't know how they have anymore customers because of the way they treat people. It's just horrible.

I just got off the phone with your pharmacy in hopes of getting a prescription filled for a painful bladder infection, which my doctor is calling it in. I was told that they were closing in 5 minutes - I said we could be there in 10 minutes but was told they would not stay open the extra few minutes. No kindness, no compassion, and no going the little extra distance to help an elderly woman with her pain and discomfort.
