We have been going to South Orange County Animal Hospital since 2015 when we got our pup. We have moved away from south county and still make the trek down there. Dr. Tani and Dr. Kim are incredible. I always trust them with my dog. My dog is very anxious and Dr. Tani is so great at making her calm during the visit. She has the magic touch. Love this place and highly recommend them.

The front desk is helpful, the veterinarians are thorough and knowledgeable, and the entire staff truly cares about the health of your pet (without charging exorbitant fees). We’ll continue to take our four legged friends here!!

Super care and communication with doctors and support staff. We moved here 8 years ago and so happy we chose south OC Animal. Dr Tani & Dr Jette have been key with ongoing care. Dr Kim guided our oldest through a difficult bout of pancreatitis. Very thankful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unfortunately I had the mistake of south orange county animal hospital and Dr Tani being our primary care vet. It is with extreme regret that we had experienced what i hope is not common for the other animal patients. After thousands of dollars and absolutely no conclusions or results or any comfort with our animals condition. We have been completely turned away and blacklisted even though our animal is in extreme need of help. No matter how complicated the relationship is between dr and patient it is extremely unprofessional to turn away due to miscommunication on the part of the doctor. This shows that Dr Tani does not truly care for her animal patients or owners. Unprofessional, heartless, and cold.

Honestly the best vets, and TRUSTWORTHY. They will be realistic about what you need/don't need to do. My dogs are actually happy when we get to the office! The short of it is that every person who works at this office is wonderful.Dr. Jette is amazing, knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate, provides thorough advice, and is fantastic with the dogs. She's our regular vet now and has worked patiently with us on our dog Lila's many problems, and our other dog's more straightforward visits. She even helped out and the office waited for us to pick up pain meds after closing when the shelter we adopted from didn't provide any post-neuter. (Which she was also honest about when I asked: go with the free neuter at the shelter rather than paying through their office.)Dr. Tani helped us through the very difficult time when our senior dog had to be put down, and she advocated for him to make sure he was comfortable.Dr. Kim is also great! We have seen him a few times for urgent visits. He even squeezed us in when I noticed a chipped tooth and drooling right around closing time. The visit was clearly more to comfort me, as he assured me that this was not as painful for Lila as it would be for a human and that she would be ok waiting a bit for an extraction.The office staff and techs are wonderful as well. We know Lila is difficult but the techs (usually Myles or Jocelyne) are so good with her!!Overall, if you can get an appointment with any of the vets here, do it!!

My family and our pets have been patients for over a decade. Dr. Kim has always gone above and beyond for us. He’s straightforward, conservative, honest, and experienced. He also helped me with my foster dog and successfully treated her for heartworm when other vets in the area were not confident in doing so. We love Dr. Kim and really appreciate his staff who are always warm and friendly. Thank you so much for all the love and care this team has provided for our furry family members!

South Orange County Animal Hospital provides amazing care. I’ve been coming for years and it can be tough to get an appointment but I know I won’t have to stress over the quality of care my pet is getting.Dr. Tani specifically is the best vet we’ve ever had. She treats every animal she sees as if it was her own and I feel she genuinely wants what’s best for them. She’s always understanding about the cost of treatment as well and is willing to help find the most cost effective and best treatments for your pet. She explains everything and makes sure you know what’s going on with your pet and all your options.The office staff is also incredibly responsive and makes sure you know what’s going on and what to expect. The entire team is very helpful and especially kind during tough times. I only have positive things to say about the hospital as a whole.

Dr. JETTY is a fantastic Vet...Living between California n Hawaii I needed a good vet for my 2 fur babies whiIe I'm living in California. I read a lot of reviews n decided to try South OC Animal Hospital (Dr. JETTY). So happy I did. Dr. Jetty is just the best, very calm, very knowledgeable, so gentle with my dogs n always so thorough. Her follow up system is amazing, it makes you feel that she really does care a lot about your fur babies, just as much as you do. Thank you DR. JETTY, for the GREAT CARE you take of our fur babies. Small and busy animal hospital located on El Toro Rd. Parking lot is small and it can be hard turning onto Raton Drive coming eastbound on El Toro.Unpopular opinion here, but I wasn't a fan! Dr. Tani was super aggressive with treatments and there were 2 misdiagnoses after going to specialists. The aggressive treatment approaches we had been doing were also causing more harm than good. Was also pretty disappointed that they would not squeeze me in to see my geriatric dog when his health suddenly declined. I had to take him to a completely new vet where they put him down...💔Prices are super reasonable and I love that they work with so many rescues but this place just wasn't for us.

I came across this hospital when my cat experienced a foot injury on a Sunday and the regular vet was closed. They made room in their schedule to see her and were very kind. That’s why we went back a month later when my cat had weird symptoms and was diagnosed by cardiomyopathy. Dr. Kim got her on a medication regimen that’s been working well and sees her every few months for followup. The pricing is affordable and I cannot say enough about how EVERYONE at this practice is genuinely nice. So happy!

I took my cat, Babushka, here when she began experiencing issues. Over the course of 7 months this whole hospital was incredible in the care they took. From calling to make appointment, checking in, and handling of my sweet girl. Dr Kim was patient, thorough and kind in his treatment. Dr Tani's knowledge and compassion is something I will always remember. My Babushka did not make it but I will never forget the care that was taken with her here. When I am ready to get a new cat I know where I will take my new pet. I trust and respect South OC Hospital so much and recommend them 100 percent.

We first brought our puppy to Dr Kim 2 years ago and have continued to bring him and our second puppy there. Dr Kim, Zoe, Stephanie, and all of their staff have always provided the most amazing care to our babies no matter the circumstance. Dr. Kim and his team are world class in their profession. I have been taking my cat here for many years. They are always on time, very clean, extremely professional, and super loving! The vet techs and the vet know exactly what they are talking about. You can be sure you're in good hands. A while back my cat’s hind legs stopped functioning. He had to drag his lower torso to move anround. Expecting the worst, I took him to see Dr. Kim. He quickly diagnosed my cat with diabetic neuropathy. My cat was prescribed insulin for 6 months. As I gave my cat the insulin, his hind legs started to function again. At the end of his treatment he started to walk normally again. Dr. Kim had performed a miracle for my cat. Recently my cat had gotten old and developed many ailments. I could tell he was suffering. It was time for me to give my cat his last big gift. The gift of peace and eternal life. Dr. Kim euthanized him in my arms. They were very consoling afterwards and gave us countless arrangement possibilities for his body. The recommendations they give and the sincere follow up goes such a long way and is very appreciated. Our animals are our family members and I would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone! Thank you for all you do South Orange County Hospital - we love you!!

I have three wonderful, spoiled Golden Retrievers. Our family treats our dogs like four legged family members. I have been so impressed with the people and service at South Orange County Animal Hospital.... From making the appointment, reception, technician and finally seeing the Vet (Dr. Kim), our experience has been tremendous.I have had a very bad experience with a Veterinary facility in Lake Forest, on the corner of El Toro and Trabuco, so I am in a position to compare the two facilities. There’s been times I’ve called last minute and they were able to help with my requests. If they are completely booked they recommend another clinic to ensure your pets needs are met.

Dr. Kim saved our first English Bullterrier from parvo. He’s always very thorough with every visit and he always tries to address everything that is affecting our pets. He helped our chihuahua to be normal again after he diagnosed her thyroid issue. We continue to trust him with our pets because his focus will always be on the pet’s health. We love Dr. Kim and will forever be grateful for doing the best for our dogs.

Hi,After three different occasions of not being able to get my dog an appointment in a timely manner for vaccines and lastly an injury. We have moved on.You also lost my daughter’s dog. After arriving 10 minutes late for her dogs appointment. She was told he would not be seen today!! Are you kidding me? He was also in pain!! She is a mother of two small children and driving from Irvine. Have you heard of traffic. Shame on you guys.Your an ANIMAL HOSPITAL! Maybe remind your staff.

Truly fantastic facility. My dog Lobo is well and strong again. Dr. Alyson Tani is so caring, a fantastic surgeon and we are all greatfull to have found our Lobos new doctor. We live over 2.5 hours away and it is worth the drive to us for our baby Lobo.
