Cute little ice cream shop in the Lake Arrowhead Village. Even though it's January, they were still open and serving ice cream!My kids eat got a dipped cone with a scoop of ice cream. The scoops were generous, and my kids said the ice cream was delicious. We think next time they might try the super fancy shakes, but it would be a treat they'd need to split.The shop also serves hot drinks and has other small things to buy (like pop-its).

Basic ice cream place. I've tried a few other things and wasn't impressed. They take forever so the line goes slow. Service is just ok. Can be hit and miss depending on mood of employee. Owner dude seemed friendly at first but is actually condescending and rude. It gets hot during the summer so it's nice to have ice cream, but if you go to Rocky Mountain Chocolate, they have the same ice cream and less of a line.

This is one of our favorite places to visit while staying at the Lake Arrowhead Resort. There are endless flavors of ice cream to choose from. Plus, they have sugar cones, waffle cones and even some dipped in chocolate with sprinkles - oh my!They not only have ice cream, but candy too. I recommend treating the kids to ice cream after lunch or dinner and enjoy the tasty ice cream while walking around the Lake Arrowhead Village.

Great ice cream! I think it’s family owned. We saw two ladies running the place efficiently. Welcoming and kind. They had some interesting gifts. Coffee mug from Wheat straw. They had a sale!

I’ve been to this ice cream place various times but as a hispanic girl I have never been treated the way me and my mother were yesterday, we were in line in front of some white folks, I got my ice cream and my mom got her tea from a nice young lady and when it was time to check out another white blonde girl had to check us out but refused to because she claimed she didn’t want to attend us and wanted to attend the people behind us, the people behind us were okay with waiting since we were in front of them and the girl at the register eventually checked us out after making a fuss out about it, she marked my ice cream down and asked what my mom got and my mom turned to me as her english isn’t perfect, and I told the girl that she got chamomile and she marked it down but my mom realized she was over charging her and asked her “why is it so much” and she’s like “huh??”, it wasn’t that hard to understand my mom but it was as if she did it on purpose to make her feel bad for her english and so i told the girl, “a chamomile tea” and she turned to the other nice young girl who helped us at first and said “I don’t want to deal with this” and walked away and let the young girl help us, I wouldn’t mind if she genuinely didn’t understand her but she didn’t have to act that way, I turned around and everyone was like omg like trying to mind their business but the girl’s intentions were obvious, the young nice lady asked the rude girl why she charged us for a caramel macchiato and she just turned to look and gave us a mad face as if we had done something to her and she had also charged us for a syrup that we obviously never got nor had she asked if we had got it. Was it because we are hispanic and my mothers english isn’t perfect ?.EDIT RESPONSE: thank you so much I wouldn’t want any other customers to be treated the way we were yesterday, we live all the way in orange county and left the mountain yesterday afternoon, we will definitely be back though i love your ice cream and always look forward to it !☺️

We came up for the weekend with the family. Our two boys begged for ice cream. They had some ice cream cones. I had the bubble waffle s’mores sundae and the wife had the Oreo crazy shake ! Absolutely delicious!

Update after owner's reply:Oh, this review is 100% for this exact establishment - Village Ice Cream, Arrowhead Village (two photos posted in original review). My apologies to be blunt but just shared our experience. In terms of flavour and store vibe, we've visited numerous ice cream places; here and abroad which included old ice cream places that are well kept and still has character and also new upbeat ice-cream Shoppes so I was able to compare. In terms of customer service, I still remember the young lady with curly hair who served us. Maybe she was not having a good day that time but she should not ruin other people's day specially when she is working serving customers. Judging from the owner's reply, no effort was/will be made to correct anything. Either way, it's all good. Good luck.----Ice cream is just ok. The flavors are vaguely on point. The place is old and not kept up.Service was HORRIBLE. I asked to taste the malted chocolate and the chocolate. I chose the chocolate. I overheard the scooper tell the cashier that there's no more chocolate, the cashier said 'just get whatever' so I thought maybe she's right and there's still enough to get a full scoop because she's the one who gave me the samples. She went ahead and charged us. The scooper then showed her that the ice cream didn't even fill a third of the cone. That's when the cashier directly told me there's no more chocolate and that I should pick another flavour. I said i don't want anything else (the malted chocolate was too sweet). She said they don't make refunds (even if they didn't have the product they made you think they had). No apology whatsoever and she acted like it was my fault picking that flavour.Just to not make things more annoying, I just picked another flavour and had someone else eat it.I should not have continued ordering. I actually just ordered out of courtesy because I already tasted two flavors. Im having second thoughts because their ice cream is not worth the calories. That's the first and last time we'll ever go there even if it's the only ice cream place in Arrowhead village (In case we ever go back to Arrowhead). Big bear is better.

Lake Arrowhead is a nice little get away close to home and the ice cream here is so yummy. I have three stars not because of the ice cream but the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was helped by two young girls who were very unpleasant seemed like they hated their jobs or maybe dealing with people. Owners l/managers please talk to you people these girls were so rude when I was ordering my kids ice cream seemed like the were annoyed making it and answering questions. This place can be great a five star rating with some work :)

The ice cream shakes aren't that great. They didn't have much flavors when I went which was upsetting but it's bad timing on me. The shakes had more milk than ice cream. I would have given it three stars but one the employee allowed someone to cut in front of us which I thought it was rude. We had our shakes ready to go and the lady just let another person cut in front of us at the cashier. It was a disappointing customer service. If there was another ice cream place around, I would have went there instead, maybe that's the only reason why they're still in business. I should have taken my business for ice cream with my family to McDonald's instead of this place.

Folks have mentioned this before but it bares repeating -- didn't even get to try anything because by 1p they were sold out of most normal flavors. If this were the only problem it would be forgivable (good that you're selling out!), but to not make note of it on the menu (just put a piece of tape over it...) means that on a summer afternoon we're waiting 20 minutes in line only to approach the counter and find nothing that's supposedly available on the menu we like.I look forward to trying it one day, but the base level of service is clearly absent, maybe because they're the only game in town 🤷‍♂️

Small, clean store. Arrived just before lunch wanting dairy free (vegan) sorbet or sherbet since I’m allergic to dairy. The info on Google and their menu clearly shows 3 flavors of vegan sorbet. When I ordered I was told they had no sorbet. When I inquired about their menu on the wall also showing 3 flavors of vegan sorbet and why they had none I was told their bins do not hold sorbet containers and only fit the ice cream ones. I was stunned and though I wanted to say “that makes no sense since you are advertising and clearly show on current menu you carry it”, it was only an employee so what purpose would it serve? So when they asked again could they get me something I just said “no, because I’m dairy allergic and drove all the way over here for sorbet”…then I walked out a very unhappy and never again customer.

Always super friendly staff.I have been bringing my dog here once a week for a scoop of vanilla ice cream since he was a tiny puppy. They are dog friendly which is a plus.

Located in Lake Arrowhead Village; next to the restrooms and the Kiddie Park with a beautiful view of the Lake. Seasonally, they have the best chocolate covered strawberries. Year Round, there is an abundant selection of fabulous flavors of ice cream...very good and including a gourmet selection of cones. The hot dogs are the best yet. Perfect stopover for the family. *The Village is also very pet friendly...so remember to include the family canine when you go for a visit.

Huckleberry is my personal favorite and I have never seen it anywhere but here. They also have chocolate covered strawberries and candy galore. They have coffee, hot chocolate and a small gift shop. Stop by if you are visiting Lake Arrowhead.

They are selling resealed baseball card packs! Suckering people with "original" Topps and Donruss early to mid 1980s packs for 4 for $10. I bought 8 packs and they all had medicare to crap cards. Then I looked carefully on the back of the packs and you can see the orginal seal line and it's obvious they have been opened and re-sealed!
