Great store with an exceptionally friendly staff. It's a lot bigger inside than I was expected it to be. It had everything that I thought I'd see, from camping gear, to hiking gear, and everything in between. If it involves the outdoors, chances are really good that they will have it at REI. We grabbed a few items for our first purchase, and Jake, the cashier, politely asked us if we were members. With zero pressure, he explained what membership entailed. We decided to sign up then and there. With it, you get extended return windows, discounts on purchases, and other deals. I will come back to the store, and update my review accordingly, but for now it'll be at five stars.

Shout out to Hayden! My husband and I were looking at packs for myself and he helped me pock out the perfect fit. I’m new to backpacking and who would have thought there were a lot of things that mattered when picking the right back pack!He seems very knowledgeable in general when we asked him other questions.The cashier was very sweet too! Love the customer service all around. Many people asked if we needed help when we were there.

Went here on the Saturday Grand Opening (9/16/23) and was expecting a pretty small store based on the center. They had a pretty big section in the parking lot with vendors giving out swag along with the free Co-Op gear from REI (we didn't wait in line, but I would have loved that Co-Op hat 😁. Walking in the store, it's massive! Much larger than Tustin. The Bike section was a bit sparse, but likely due to the upcoming winter sports swap. I didn't see any paddle sports which was a bummer...but WHY such a massive section dedicated to climbing shoes? Clothing sections were great and this REI had one of the best camping equipment areas I've seen. Spotted some Xmas gifts for the family. Hopefully they won't pack this place with too much merch...it's nice how open it is. Also, hopefully they can sustain this building...center is kinda dead, especially with the ever-long "5 Lagunas" mall that has been a construction site for 10 years now. I still remember the El Paseo REI in Mission Viejo that was there just a few years and vanished. I have high hopes for this one

REI is my happy place, and this location is an especially welcome and convenient addition to the area. It's spacious, there's a solid collection of gear, and the staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Shout out to Oscar!

Great store, I did not know this was at this location. I used to drive to the Irvine location from San Juan Capistrano but this is way closer. It's a bit hidden in the back of all the medical buildings but it's a great store!

Love spending hundreds of dollars on ski gear not to be offered a bag when it’s pouring rain outside … Real genius came up with that great idea… just FYI it’s a bagless store.. so bring your own IG. The store clerk was nice enough to offer me a large box so my items wouldn’t fall into a puddle.

Came here to pick up my Backpack and couldn't be happier. The selection was excellent, the staff were unbelievably friendly/helpful, and the overall atmosphere of the store was amazing. I would come back to any REI store any day of the week!

I love visiting REI. So many outdoor stuff to shop. The other thing I love about REI is how knowledgeable their ppl are to help you find the best option for you.Recently, we purchased two good running shoes which both me and my wife love them.

So excited for this grand opening! The recently opened REI store in my neighborhood is indeed impressive. It's incredibly spacious, and they offer a wide variety of outdoor gear and equipment. Really nice store! The staff is super friendly! However, this store seems to have a very limited selection of gear. It seems to stock mostly clothing. I’m not sure if this will change in the future, but will definitely continue to shop at the Tustin location for this reason.

Clean and organized. They had a very small shoe selection and didn't have the size we needed.It's still getting constructed so there is drilling noise, and the like.The prices seem high.

Overall, the store is large and beautiful, but I felt like the selection was limited compared to the one at the Tustin Marketplace. I would probably continue to go to that one in the future.
