I’ve been going to this location every week for months. I hadn’t had any bad experiences here. But today, I went in and an elderly white male employee who was bald with thin gold framed glasses said something very rude to me. I’m an Asian person, and he came up to me while I was shopping and said “You know, we’re the top shelf of pet stores” and I said “oh ok thank you” and he said “if you’re looking for something cheaper maybe you should go somewhere else”This was unwarranted as I was just shopping there as I usually do. I can’t help but feel like there was racism behind his intent.Very disappointing

The manager and team at this store are amazing. They remember customer names(and more importantly, pets’ names. And they really know their products - making recs on foods to try if your dog is having any issues. I’m really grateful to have them so close to where we live.

I chose my dog's food after talking to an associate here. They didn't steer me to the most expensive stuff. They gave an honest opinion. I like that 'buy 3 and get one free' - forces me to stock up and not run back and forth too much. They always help with my bags and it's never a long line to pop in.

Wonderful crew at every store. I know Concord Store the most, and I loved the new arrangement. Every store is clean, easy to maneuver, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I did spend more time in Lafayette, and not used to meters, I got a ticket. 😧 But Christine was the best, as if she knew me so well 😉. If you open in Stockton, I'm ready to be hired!

Love the Dog Wash! The staff is exceptional and good at problem solving in order to help their clients find what our fur-babies need. Even the back office staff is wonderful. The one time I did have a major issue with a team member that I escalated it to upper management, it was handled extremely professionally and ended up being a retraining issue that effected the animal adoption process. Any store that is will to look at issues, take and make them learning opportunities to better service and strengthen their team is doing something right!

I had a newly adopted dog and the people at PFE were so helpful in helping me find things and make choices as to what to buy. And their return policy is soooo generous. If your pet doesn't like the product you bought they will take it back within 30 days for refund or stores credit.

Love Pet Food Express! They are the best of all the pet stores in terms of quality of products, customer service, and they don’t sell animals cruelly raised by backyard breeders! Plus they are a locally owned business, not a national chain.This particular store has friendly, efficient staff who are highly knowledgeable and can help with any questions you have about your pet’s needs. The bathing stations inside the store are an added convenience. I love giving them my business.

They are some of the kindest most professional animal lovers out there. They remember your pup's name regardless of how long it's been since your last visit and are always extremely welcoming and helpful. When we had specific issues with one of our dogs they were om top of it offering extremely helpful advice and relevant products. We love coming almost as much as our furbabies do!

This place is great! The entire staff is constantly knowledge, willing to help * super friendly. Christmas time, I went to score some cat food and supplies. When checking out I discovered I keft my wallet home. They were about to close.I explained my delema to the manager who said no problem, take the goods and come back to pay another day.We recently adopted another kitten and needed an ID chip inserted. My vet wanted $95. Pet Food Express did it for $21 out the door w/lifetime registration.🐈👍

The manager was so helpful! I told her my Cat has been allergic to his litter and she helped me find a non clay based litter for him. Not only that but she gave it to me for free to try for him!

A belated "thank you" to your long time Manager Amy whom I've interacted with -- every 2-3 weeks --- for five years now! Not only was Amy the most calm, courteous and helpful retail-manager I've ever met, but she always had a crew of employees who, while each uniquely charming and interesting individuals, were all socially adept and seemed genuinely pleased to discuss my questions (especially when I became a cat-person for the first time in my life!!). Thank you, Amy, for your many years of service to the pet lovers in this entire area! You and your crew have brought a great joy to my life w/ kittie Zenzera!

food ( hence the name pet food express). I was looking for fish supplies, they did not have much. looks mostly geared towards dog and cat supplies. Also pricecheck with your phone, most items i found that should cost about $10 run $5 to $10 more.. Fish test strips 10 at other pet places is 15.. A filter 10 other places is $19.
