Petco, I don't hate it, but it always seems a little underwhelming. Maybe it's just the lighting, or the fact the parking lot always looks dirty.I will say their selection of single source snacks is good. If your dog has allergies that's a big deal. Toys, ok,but not special or wide ranging. They never have the food I want.The fish tanks and processing in the center of the store always looks like it needs cleaning or finishing or just something to hide it.The entry to the grooming is not inviting. I have not been to a lot of other Petcos maybe this one is just bland. Like I said, don't hate it.

Wide variety of pets to adopt. They have cats turtles snakes fish. No dogs sadly. But its a huge store with lots of things you can purchase for a pet. Free parking lot.

Wonderful selection of fish and starter aquarium plants. They also carry a good amount of tank supplies and tanks them selves on hand. Everything you need to start a new ecosystem in your home. Tanks been running for about a month, and I'm extremely happy with it progress. We purchased the Imagitarium Frameless Freshwater Aquarium Kit, 6.8 GAL. Highly recommended it. Lights work well, and tank looks cool with glofish.

The person who took my info did not tell me that I would be receiving emails from Petco. If that was the case I would not have gave my email to him. He made it seem like I was filling out something because I was purchasing an animal. And that made me uncomfortable as well. It took the person in between 5 and 8 minutes to read over all the paperwork or whatever he was doing because he didn't really make me aware. There were people in line behind me and he was more concerned with the "paperwork". Once again I was not made aware that I was going to be receiving any notifications from Petco. But since the paperwork was taking a long time when he was done he politely asked me to step to the side so he could bring up the other people that were in line behind me. And I completely understand why he did that but it was just inconvenient for me. Again it wasn't totally his fault he was doing his job but I didn't understand why all that was necessary. I asked what the paperwork was for and he said it was standard. I was purchasing one feeder Mouse though, not a pet. I did find another worker to get the mouse for me so honestly I wasn't waiting very long just the whole procedure struck me a bit funny. I honestly was not treated poorly. The customer service was well.

The immature staff in the grooming section of the LaQuinta California Petco are very disrespectful. As a veteran, I’ve learn not to expect much from people, but to be disrespected the way these kids did, they don’t understand the situation they could have put them selves in. I’ve taken my pet to the La Quinta Petco for grooming multiple times, thinking it was somewhat professional, I was wrong. They for some reason started treating customers as if they don’t even want the business.When I wanted more information about why they canceled my pets appointment, though I secured it 4-5 days out, the response was “it is what it is, even told to “go somewhere ells”. I was triggered to the point of going down there and explain the consequence's of there disrespect, but they’d probably just retreat to there safe space. Never entering a Petco ever again. If the job makes you unhappy, go back to your parents home and reevaluate your self. Being a POS at your job and to the customers won’t get you anywhere.

I scheduled a bath & haircut PREMIUM appointment at La Quinta Petco due to my goldendoodle outgrowing her puppy hair. As soon as I walked into their grooming department the lady at the counter, sammie, ask me if had canceled my appointment, because someone left a voicemail earlier. I was confused & said no, she then asked for my puppies vaccines & refused to accept her card causing me to search for them via email. Once she accepted the fact that I came in to have my dog groomed with her vaccine proof, she made up an excuse that because it was her first time at the groomer it was recommended to only receive a bath & a quick trim. I told her I was not interested in a bath, that I was going in to get rid of her long puppy hair. Sammie, the employe, continued to give me the run around stating having the puppy groomed would be an extra charge. I told her I was fine with the price because I was very much interested in having her hair cut off. She then ignored me & printed out paper work stating she was going to get the services she recommended, completely disregarding the services I went in for, & then said she would only groom her if my dog did not react to her grooming equipment. When I picked up my dog, she did exactly what I did not go for in & said next time she will be ready to get groomed. I will NEVER again take my pet to Petco in La Quinta, it was an awful first experience. I could have bathed her & trimmed around her eyes at home!

Frequently come here to pick up litter and cans of Tiki food for our cats. Shelves are always organized and typically well stocked, unless they're out of something.There's always enough registers open and it doesn't get too too busy on weekends.I always stop by to see the hairless guinea pigs because they're so fricken cute.

Petco is great !! The employees are really chill and laid back, they don't hover around and make you uncomfortable but there ready to help quickly if you need assistance or if you have any questions. I frequently shop at petco to purchase food for my ferret. They have the best ferret food out of all the pet shops (Marshall Premium Ferret Diet). Although it is not the cheapest ferret food my ferret perfers it so I get it for my little guy.Thank you Petco

They need to have a way to get your dog in the store without burning their paws on the hot pavement in the summer. I got a rabies shot and they were too cheap to print the paper rabies certificate that their groomers require. They only email the certificate and require you to print it.

THIS IS A GREAT STORE WITH A WONDERFULLY INFORMATIVE AND WARM EMPLOYEE THAT MADE MY CARETAKER AND I FEEL SO WELCOME WE DIDNT EVEN WANT TO LEAVE. DUE TO MY MEMORY PROBLEMS I CANT REMEBER HER NAME, BUT I WILL DEFINITELY CONTINUE TO SHOP AT THIS LOCATION JUST BECAUSE OF THAT EMPLOYEE. THANK YOU WHOEVER YOU WERE AND ONCE I FIND OUT I WILL LEAVE ANOTHER REVIEW WITH BETTER DETAILS. I have been taking my dogs to Petco for a number of years now.Alexandra, does a great job of grooming my dogs, she takes the best care of our dogs. The price for getting your dog groomed is great and if you want to get great animal supplies, they have everything you need!

I wouldn’t recommend the vetco clinic. I only went there because I was here from out of town and my puppy was due for a shot. I made an appointment, but still waited in line for about an hour with a puppy. The “wellness visit” is a joke . I’m not even sure it was a real vet. I told him my puppy has drainage in his eyes and he says “yea I see that and you can follow up with your vet”. Well if you see there’s a problem, why not treat it? Then he put in the after visit summary that “owner said there was no issues”. That was a lie. The only good part was the other worker that was assisting the vet. I wouldn’t ever go back.

Sarah at La Quinta is Fantastic. ❤️ All you want from a grooming salon is that you feel your pets are happy and feel calm and safe. Then look great.I’m completely over the moon on all these “feels” Sarah has been grooming my two dogs for years. Scout from a puppy. She’s had the patience to win Scout over and now they’re like family.Ryder is older and has many skin tags and she is always so careful with him.She is a wonder woman with them.I’ve read some terrible things said about Sarah. I find it very hard to believe. VERY!

I purchased dog food, after feeding it to my 4 month puppy for 2 days I noticed the food had been expired since last year, over 7 months expiration date. Very disappointed and aggravating, has when I went to returned it only asking for my refund, they didn’t even apologized. Worst customer service and lack of care for their customers and pets.

Petsmart offered a $15 off coupon for two days, but were out of stock and when asked for a rain check, I was told they don't offer them. (Then don't bait me into shopping there.) I was able to purchase my pet's food and save the same $15 without a coupon. Nice people and quick service.

Extremely Bad Service from the grooming department. 2 groomers and have very bad customer service communication. Both lied and one yelled. Groomers and groomer manager refused to service my pets. They laughed it away. All because one of my dogs bark a lot and another who was 6 months at the time of his first grooming was unaware of what was being done to him. Basically they couldn’t get him out of the kennel for his bath. So they never bathed him before. Ended up taking him to Petsmart where they did a fantastic job last time. But since my other dogs got groomed at Petco I figured I’d take my baby there to. But now Petco Grooming in La Quinta is refusing to bathe any of my dogs. Bad Customer Service. Switching to Petsmart. Don’t recommend Petco. With attitudes like the ones in grooming now, I’d be afraid to leave my dog with them. I can only imagine how mean they would be to my dogs. Petsmart #1
