We looked at other RV parks along the 101, and this RV park is by far the best! Beautiful setting along the river, very relaxed and quiet. Great central location for seeing the Redwoods National and State Parks and ocean. Secure park at night. Automatic gates close at night, and guests receive the code at check-in.Clean bathrooms & laundry. Gary, the owner is very friendly and helpful. This was by far the BEST independent campground experience we've had in our years of travel. We're looking forward to staying again.

Absolutely beautiful location. This is a wonderful, quiet, amazing place. The owner is the nicest person! Spots right on the river with fire pits and picnic tables. Cleanest facilities I've seen around. Laundry is $2 wash $2 dry and the is a quarter machine. Very dog friendly, there are poop bags throughout and a nice little walking trail in the back woods area. Close to the highway and a gas station and little convenient store up the road. The front desk store is pretty stocked as well! Close to lots of hiking, beaches, and the trees of mystery! Nothing bad about this place.

We were very pleased with Klamath River RV Park. The host greeted us and showed us to our spot as well as delivered firewood to our space. The location is right on the river and is beautiful. We used the showers and the laundry room and both were well kept and clean. Drive up the road to watch the sunset and see the sea lions swimming.

It is beautiful here! Gary the owner is top notch! Very accommodating and kind. My daughter fell while playing at the park, next thing I know Gary came running out of the office with a carousel of lollipops for her and all the kids on the playground. Spots are decent sized and is right on the river. Will definitely be back!

What a find! We had to alter our itinerary on this trip and this was the only park that didn't charge a fee to drop a night. Gary was a pleasure to speak to on the phone and in person. One of the caretakers was also a great help with figuring out the road closure situation going north. This park is not only in a prime, lovely location, but it is kept with great care. Immaculate, quiet, beautiful...we would definitely return and recommend it to you. We had a riverside site, but all of them are great. Enjoy!

We stayed here last minute on our PNW trip. We were tent camping out of our car. The campground was clean and well maintained. The bathroom/shower building was clean and had a good amount of room for showering and drying off to change. It was a walk from the tent spaces which is really my only complaint. But the way the campground is laid out it is how it is. And the water was hot. I did 2 loads of laundry. The chairs in the laundry room were very uncomfortable so bring a chair if you've got a lot of laundry to wash. There was a change machine to make change for the washer and dryer. $2.50 a load if I remember right. Would definitely stay again. There were seals playing in the river when we were eating dinner. It was fun to watch them. The camp host was very nice and hospitable. The Cafe wasn't open the time we were there but it was nice it was there. I was looking forward to coffee but we were up and packed before it opened. Tent spaces were $35 they are close together but had their own picnic table and fire ring. I unfortunately didn't take photo's of any buildings but the flower's were gorgeous and hydrangeas are my fav!

Stayed here May of 2022, one night showed up without reservations and were met with hospitality and kindness. Heated bathrooms, a laundry room, a small play area for the kiddos to run and burn some energy, a seasonal coffee shop (was closed while we were here). Definitely would stay again.. they sell wood and it’s definitely reasonably priced.

Currently on a 10,000 mile road trip and needed a place to stay. Came across this beautiful campground for a decent price (35 for tents). The grounds are well maintained near an inlet, the bathrooms were extremely clean, and the owner is super friendly. You can order coffee and food here at the campground. If I ever pass through again I will be stopping here.

Everyone is so friendly. Love the cafe in the mornings. Free coffee and chat time with other RV people. This gave us great info about where to visit in the area as well as across the country. The place is spotless in laundry and shower rooms. The area is breath taking. Landscaping done well. The river during the month of early May had a foggy hue in the morning and at night. Temperatures ranged from 40 in the mornings to 85 midday and 40 to 60 at night. Perfect for bonfires. The gift/souvenir shop is very reasonable. If you visit to see Redwoods nearby make sure you see Mystery Trees. Great for all ages and only 6 minutes away.I live in Maryland and we traveled across the country. This was the BEST PLACE OF ALL WE STAYED. The kindness, beauty and the area sights were worth the trip. I will be back!

Great location / beautifully landscaped / gated / clean remodeled facilities / gracious owners. Seals feeding on fish in the river, right in front of our site! Ocean 4 miles away with sea lion! Redwoods are real close. We had a fantastic experience, we will be back! Pictures are from our site

Beautiful location by the Klamath River and very friendly staff. The sites are level and clean; we backed up to the hillside and it was great to be able to open the back window and feel like you were in the woods. We didn’t feel like we were crammed into an overloaded camping area. The laundry room and other facilities were clean and spacious. The entrance is a little tricky so make sure you make a wide turn to get to the driveway which is a fairly steep downhill. Great location to visit the Redwoods.

Very quiet and beautiful. This is the most beautiful campsite we have ever been to. Pet friendly and good management, we only planned to stay here for one day but it was so beautiful that we extended another 4 days. Recommend everyone to come here!

We stumbled onto Klamath River RV Park via a sign on the 101 freeway when all the State Parks were full. Boy are we glad we did. The owner, Gary greeted us like old friends as we pulled in. Beautiful grounds right on the Klamath River. No pad, you park on grass, and the spaces are close but the river view and surrounding mountains are worth it. Restrooms and showers are nice. This was the nicest park we stayed in on a 3 week trip down the Pacific coast. While there are more luxurious parks, if you are looking for an affordable lovely site, this is it.

This campsite, RV, is next to the lake with beautiful scenery. The owner is friendly, although I am an Asian, he is polite to me. The bathroom is clean and the bathroom is clean.

If you are looking for a private, quiet place to stay than this is it. It's not a upbeat, loads of stuff to do KOA so if you are looking for that than this isn't the place. It's on the river (no easy river access so couldn't swim or anything). Surrounded by beautiful mountains and trees. Full hook ups, Laundromat, little store, nice bathrooms. The owners are very nice and will gladly transport ice, firewood, etc to your site via their golf cart. Roads are gravel so if you bring little ones it's not the most friendly bike path. Very tiny playground with old equipment but it managed to entertain my 8 year old for hours. All in all it was a quiet, relaxing place within the redwoods.

We spent a week here while we were photographing the local elk. It is one of the nicest parks we've stayed at. Staff were so friendly and helpful, park was well maintained, bathrooms very clean and the showers had excellent pressure. There is a nice forest hike right out from the park and so much to see and do in the area. Elk can be found near Crescent City and south to Orek. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay 12 night stay at this campground. We were met at the check-in by the team and directed to our site Buy a team member on a golf cart, all was done very easily and professionally. We have a 45 foot motorhome pulling a 23 foot trailer and were able to easily navigate in the park. We also had clear reception for our DIRECTV satellite. The Wi-Fi worked OK we were able to take care of everything we needed on our computers. The campground is located on the Kalmath river and is very quiet and scenic with fantastic views of the mountains. It is centrally located to both national and state parks with only about a five or six minute drive to get to highway 101. Lastly my compliments to the owner Gary who is very involved in the running of the park and is very personable and service oriented our stay was very enjoyable and would highly recommend it to anybody thinking about staying for a day or a week or a month.

This is the second summer that we have stayed at Klamath River RV Park. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful. It has well maintained grounds and friendly staff. RV spaces are on grass. It has laundry and restrooms/showers.

Beautiful location, surrounded by huge pine trees on three sides and the Klamath River on the other. Very friendly and accommodating owner, great and reasonably priced laundry room. The campground access is via a very tight turn, but we got our 42 foot fifth wheel around it without a problem. Would definitely return.

Wonderful campground with nice laundry room. It's a secluded and quiet spot. Located conveniently to the National Prairie Creek Park, Shasta Lake and Trinidad Beach. We loved our visit.

We had a great stay at this park. Upon arrival we were greeted by a young lady with a very polite and enthusiastic welcome to our site. That sort of welcome should be the standard for customer service so we would like to thank her for that. We had RV site #66 but every site here is very spacious with amazing views so you can’t really go wrong. It is centrally located to the south end of park and crescent city. It’s also only 5 mins away from Klamath tour thru tree and the Klamath overlook. Nothing bad to say, if you’re thinking about it, come here! :)-Miguel Angel Fragoso and family

Excellent location, right on the river. Almost 1 mile away from the 101 which is far enough to forget the highway but close enough for easy access. The park is gorgeous, is secured by a gate and the host , Gary, is awesome. Will return for sure. The RV locations are on grass and can fit any size rig.

Love this park and the views. Easy pull thrus and spacious. Tight turn at the top to get it but no problem with a wide swing. Unfortunately the power company turned off the power during the day for maintenance so our hookups didn’t work and we couldn’t use the showers. It was also a bit smoky from the fires. No fault of the RV park but something to be aware of when camping in late summer/early fall.

Beautiful RV park right on the river! You can't beat the view and the facilities are great! There is even a little coffee shop on the property. No cell signal and we didn't check the Wi-Fi! Hope to visit again!

Klamath River RV Park is on our all-time top-ten list after having stayed in hundreds of campgrounds as full-time motorhome travelers. The river views are right out of a postcard scene. In addition, this is one of the best managed and staffed campgrounds in our experience. Klamath River RV is convenient to The Redwood National and State Parks, where we took hikes nearly every day.We definitely plan to enjoy more time at Klamath River RV.

We were happy that Elk's Prairie was full and found this gem. Nicely set up tent sites on the river. We had been traveling and glad they had a nice laundry room with a change machine. At night we were able to hear and see the seals feeding on the trout and then otters in the morning. Plus, fresh free Italian roast coffee on the cafe deck before it opened. It was a great treat to have a real cafe with fresh pastries and special coffees. They made a great cafe mocha. If we're ever in the area we definitely look forward to staying again.
