Rod is absolutely amazing. He's the new manager and he's doing a lot of great things here starting with clean up. He seems to always be doing something like properly cutting the grass, making sure the garbage is taken out and helping out his guests. Wow great customer service!!!! What a kind soul. Thank you so much for everything you do. Thanks to Jerome as well when he worked here, for his kindness and allowing us on this spot.

We had such a great experience staying here. We were camping in November and so it wasn’t busy at the tent sites. However, the staff cut the grass so the site was well maintained for us. The bathrooms were clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers! The staff were so helpful with recommending hikes as well! I would love to stay here again.

This campsite was a dream. The laundry was a godsent, and the staff were so helpful and kind when it came to helping us sort it out and get set up.The washrooms are secured with a code, and are very well maintained. But, the sunset view over the lake and the communal fire pit were the highlight!!

Nice camping spot on the Klamath River. Store and recreational room up front, affordable laundry, and nice hot showers. Wifi is also available! All the staff were friendly and accommodating. Close to some great attractions like the Trees of Mystery and some beautiful hikes to beaches! My son also enjoyed their playground! It's wonderful being surrounded by so much nature and the incredible Redwoods.

What an interesting area to stay in Northern CA! The redwoods are so close, and the access to the Pacific Ocean made this a wonderful stay for us. I really enjoyed viewing the near family in the distance each morning and evening. The campground is basic and could use some upgrades, but overall worth the price. My biggest disappointment was not having the river access via dock as expected. That would be a huge attractor for future guests. Office staff was helpful. Some sites were pretty tight, but some were more roomy.

While on a long road trip my family and I looked at several campgrounds in the area before setting on this one and we are so glad we did! We even drove past a few others afterward and commented on how well we had chosen. Sites had grass vs pavement. There were great views and some trees. Showers were hot and free and laundry was cheaper than anywhere else we had been to. Great little spot to rest after a long day of travelling.Safety: Felt very safe and secure.

We recently stayed in the new glamping tent which is in a beautiful location, right on the river! There were lots of blankets to keep us warm as well as enough drinking water for 2 days and fresh towels. There was also a table with chairs set up inside which was very convenient. It was very homey and cozy, and Deep kindly set up the BBQ for us when requested. She was also quick to respond to messages. The best part was the location though, we could see seals on the river and there were beautiful forest views. It was quiet and peaceful and one of the best camping experiences we've had.

We got the end spot (#36) overlooking the water w/ beautiful views. Quiet campground, everyone was very friendly. We did not use the bathrooms/showers. Good location for exploring both north and south in Redwoods National Park. Only downside, we did not see the bear that everyone said they had been seeing by the water during low tide.

RV campground is beautifully bare bones! Clean bathrooms with small showers. Good water pressure and warm/hot water. Community fire pit with cut wood provided. Small playground for kids, tent area, river front.Noteworthy details: Redwoods National and State Parks, small convenient store, Yurok tribal land, scenic drives, and Klamath River activities all nearby. Very quiet, grassy property in neighborhood with other campgrounds on scenic Highway 101. Sites share picnic tables.

Chinook RV Resort is one of the best RV campgrounds I've ever stayed in. It's quiet and peaceful. The fog rolling in in the morning is a great scene. It has a river behind it that is amazing to sit by and enjoy. The staff here is friendly and caring. It is a great place to stop in your travels. And I love the abundant blackberry bushes!Noteworthy details: Tons of blackberry bushes for the picking.

Site 17 by the River was epic! Our family of 4 camped in our sprinter van by the river. The view was breath taking! The small campground was lovely and even had a little playground for the kids. And in the morning it was low tide so we could walk down to the river and found little treasures. We would definitely recommend it and stay again!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We had a beautiful view and it was so quiet. The other guests were really nice and welcoming. Probably one of the best camping experiences setting up next to the river like that.FYI, the camp store closes at 4 and isn't open on Sunday so we didn't get to check that out at all. The boat dock and access to the river wasn't available while we were there. The view is spectacular, truly peaceful place with really nice people. The RV sites by the river are a bit small when someone pulls in next to you. Power, water, septic all good. Cable didn't seem to work but didn't bother us. One complaint was that all the trash cans were overflowing a bit and didn't get cleaned out until Monday morning. Didn't seem to be an issue with the bears in the area though.Loved the community fire pit since not all the sites had one. Looks overall like the owners are improving the place. I heard it was new ownership. Lots of wildlife in the area, birds, fish jumping, seals in the water, and bears a few 100 yards away down stream. To the owners, if I could make a few recommendations, I'd remove site 17 entirely and make that an actual path to the tent area (since everyone cuts through peoples sites anyway) and make more river view sites for RVs in the tent area side. Also, a fenced in Dog run would be nice but the giant field worked well. You've got a gem here.

The Chinook resort was perfect for us. We went there for glamping; the tent was beautiful, everything was clean and thoughtfully decorated. The resort is very well taken care of and clean as well. Probably the best part was the customer service, from booking it to check out, it was a great experience! The resort is close to most of the attractions, right next to the Klamath river, and surrounded by the redwood national forest. You can’t go wrong!

Wish I could have had a great experience like many posted here.Ours was not good online I reserved a pull through site, it was only pull through by cutting through a neighbors site thanks to a pole in the center. Also be careful of gopher holes everywhere and the sites are not level.Website said Wifi available. After trying to connect I asked a neighbor about it and as he laughed he said oh they have it if your sitting in the office. No one was even in the office so I called to complain a young gentleman showed up 30 min. later and said he would talk to the owner about adjusting the bill. He Lied!!!And they're way to expensive ($51) for what you get, for example I spent the next night in wine country, had level graveled sites and excellent wifi for $39 a night.Noteworthy details: Only thing good about this poorly managed and maintained place is what mother nature provided.

The owner of this property does not care about the guest experience. We were not told they were doing construction. The showers and bathrooms were closed for a few days and there was constant construction noise. During this ongoing construction a water line was struck and water was turned off while they shocked the system (approximately 8 hours). They even started working on the outside of the air B&B from 11pm to about midnight one night. The workers were being so loud yelling, laughing, and talking that we thought they had to just be rude guests. When we asked why someone was hammering and drilling at 11pm they said it was because it was going to rain the next day and they had to finish the project! Also when we arrived to the property we see a big sign in the front office that they have a no marijuana policy due to “disruptive behavior”. The owner is welcome to make what ever rules they want of course, but there is no mention of this on their website nor when I booked over the phone . In a legal state I feel like the owner needs to upfront about this. The manager and her husband were very friendly and obviously don’t make these policies. We did not meet the owner. There are so many RV parks in the area consider one of them instead.

We've been here 7.5 weeks now, and are going to be here another 8. My family and I came out here for a job contract, first time living in a trailer, had no idea what to expect from our new adventure and home. This park has been such an incredible time for us! We have a spot near the little playground, which has kids playing at it pretty much everyday (my toddler's favorite spot to meet new friends). All the families we've met here have been super friendly, with many coming back year after year. The manager has been so sweet too, making sure things are working out for us and we're enjoying our stay here; she even took us on a nearby hike to look at all the beautiful redwoods! When we got here, the back meadow was overgrown, the river view was fairly blocked by bushes, and the laundry room only had one washer. But in our 2 months we've been here, the staff have been working at tidying things up and have made pretty good progress with it. At this point, they're back to a full 2 washer/2 dryer laundry room, you can see the river pretty well, and the back meadow has been mowed down and become our favorite spot to bring our kiddo with her bike! The only downside is the bathrooms, but that's just because I never went camping as a kid and as soon as I saw a spider in there I convinced myself it was going to come crawl all over me. In reality, it's just an older bathroom in a campground. Plenty of showers and toilet stalls, and most importantly infinite hot water (I'm still adjusting to the 7 minutes of hot water in the trailer).Other than that, they have a little convenience store which is perfect when you don't want to make a trip into town for groceries. We have our own internet, but the few times it's gone out we've been able to use the park's as a backup without issue. No cell service, but that seems to be the case all throughout the redwood forest.

We stayed at this park in May 2021. Andy is great she really makes you feel welcomed. The staff is so friendly. We also met a few people that live there and they were super nice. We really like this park. They had a great area for our German Shepard to play too. They are on the Klamath River which was so pretty and are close to the beaches where the sea lions hang out. We also saw a couple of bald eagles. My husband and I stayed a week. The prices were fair too. We used Passport America for part of our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Chinook RV Resort is a beautiful well tended park on the Klamath River. By the amount of house chest freezers and boats in front of a lot of rigs I would say the river is full of fish ready to be caught! It is grass areas to park and very level, so no extra blocks under the wheels, the facilities are clean and well taken care. The laundry facilities are nice, and the people are friendly! There is a area by the lake with benches and a fire pit, wood is provided for a safe campfire gathering place. They do accept Passport America discount, I would highly recommend this park.

Sweet place! We would definitely return to this tranquil campground with its beautiful view! The crashing of the waves sound like a distant thunderstorm working its way in. The camp host is very helpful, friendly & nice to chat with. The Bufflehead ducks were so pretty on the water. The grounds are flat, grassy spots. The showers could use updating but a nice hot shower with a removable head is always appreciated! Our time here went by too fast.

Wonderful location, nice campers and management was fantastic to work with. Great group of campers to sit and visit around the fire of an evening watching for seals, otters, Bald eagle and bear.Nearby activities: Several walking and driving trails in the redwoods.

The location on the river and close to the beach give it 2 stars. No useable WiFi even right near the office. No cable tv as advertised. Manager claimed she was unaware of issues but neighbors told us they get their own directv and Dish. Laundry room was inexpensive and reasonably clean but only one working washer. It appears that most sites are occupied by long term residents. I had to sign a waiver that the campground isn’t liable for any injury on the dock-well, a waiver doesn’t give you a pass to have unsafe facilities such as what passes as a dock. There’s better choices in this beautiful area.

This place was a diamond in the rough. Plenty of room for the fifth wheel and right on the river. Great views all over. We really meat some nice people and really enjoyed the area. The bathrooms are old but big and are well maintained.

Pleasantly surprised. $45 full hookup. Close to your neighbors but the park feels safe. No internet data from att or TMobile but they have free park WiFi. If you drive around Abit you can find a signal strong enough to stream. A little buffering but we can live with it. Kid and dog friendly. Feels safe. Don't miss this stop on the water.

Such a great spot to stay. Don and Marie are welcoming and accommodating hosts. We camped in a beautiful grassy tent site with blackberries in an open space behind us for breakfast everyday. We were right next to the river. Bathrooms and showers were spotless and cleaned at least 2 - 3 times a day. Klamath is one mile away with a small store. A lovely vacation!

Wonderful little park right on the Klamath River and just around the bend the river empties into the ocean. You can hear the ocean and sea lions from the camp. Roads are gravel and the sites are grass. They have tent sites, back-in sites, and pull-through sites. Full hook-ups with 30/50 amp. Spots right on the river cost $5 more/night. Bathrooms and laundry are clean. Office has a small store. The staff were pleasant. Would recommend and we will for sure be back.
