Pawsitive Connections Inc is the best!!! In early 2015, my husband and I adopted 2 dogs from Pawsitive Connections Inc and we continue to be repeat adopters and a foster. My mom and friends have also adopted wonderful dogs from this hard working organization. Over the years, we have seen how this rescue gives so many dogs and puppies a second chance at life. Like many independent, nonprofit rescues they do an amazing job with very little support and resources. We have been so impressed by this rescue that we volunteer and donate as often as we can. There are so many things that we appreciate about this rescue. All their animals are spayed/neutered, micro chipped and had age appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. They are not breed/size/age specific and pull any dogs in need that they can safely house. Many of their large breed adult dogs spend months to many years with them. These large breed adult dogs take more resources to support. They also permanently support non adoptable dogs in their care who for either behavioral or medical reasons stay with the sanctuary. In addition to all this, they drive from Kingsburg to San Jose on Saturdays for a very long adoption event day. By traveling outside their immediate area they give the dogs and puppies a better chance of getting adopted. I hope more people take the time to support and thank Pawsitive Connections Inc for the great work they do.

We adopted two dogs from Pawsitive Connections. They did a great job matching us with the pup from the litters that would work best with our family. They also keep up with us 3 years later to see how their dogs are doing! We love our PC doggies!

We were looking to adopt a puppy but having never had a puppy, we needed advice! We have a unique situation in that we have a highly rambunctious boxer at home so we needed to have just the right personality in a puppy - one that would be able to do well with such a strong and busy large dog. Penny, who runs the adoption center for Pawsitive, spent weeks on the phone and with me and my husband in person to help us select just the right puppy! We are so grateful for our new family member, who has all the qualities we needed to blend into our unique dog home! Adopt from Pawsitive Connections!

I adopted a chihuahua from Pawsitive Connections in 2020. I am local so didn’t want to attend an adoption event in San Jose, so I submitted a pre application on their website. Within a week I was called for a phone interview and was scheduled for a meet and greet at their facility. I got to spend one-on-one time with Paquito and he even got to meet my other dogs. We hit it off, I filled out the application, paid the adoption fee, and got to take him home the same day. He fits right in. I was impressed with how much the volunteers knew about him and his story. The process was so easy. When we are ready for another dog, we will definitely be reaching out to them.

we have adopted several dogs from pawsitive connections over the years. Pawsitive connections also has many lifetime dogs under their care that came with serious inguries and were rehabilitated back to a healthy condition to be able to live out their lives in a happy and safe environment.

I came to pawsitive connections because I was recommended by a friend. I’d been looking for a dog that would fit in with the 2 cats and chickens I had as I was having trouble finding one that wouldn’t try to attack the chickens. They found a more perfect fit for me than I could have imagined and I am so happy! If you want to adopt from a place that cares about the animals and where they go then this is the place for you. Thank you!

I am incredibly grateful for Pawsitive Connections. Almost a year ago, I adopted a great pup named Trent. The adoption process was straightforward; application, approval, and pickup. During the pickup, we discussed his history, I obtained his vaccination record, and I was allowed to observe his interactions with the other dogs. During the time that we have been together, he has learned a lot. We train a few times a week, which has to lead him to be too interested, comfortable, and loyal. I could not recommend them more as they were sincere and professional while making sure that Trent ended up in the right home.

We got this little sweetheart at 12 weeks old from pawsitive connections at an adoption event in San Jose (we did preregistration to get her with an application). She came spayed and up to date on shots though there were still a few more she needed just due to her age. The rescue was very up front about any possible genetic issues she may have ( her litter seemed to have problems and her tongue hangs out but doesn’t seem to be an issue). She is a happy and vibrant puppy and we’re glad this rescue is out there making sure dogs are going to good homes. Her adoption was $400 which I found to be very reasonable for her having had shots, additional vet appointments, and being spayed when we got her. Thanks Pawsitive Connections on on new family member!

We adopted our sweet Lulu from Pawsitive Connections. I was so impressed by their careful screening and the amazing facility where the dogs live in open space with fresh air and amazing care. Penny was super supportive and helpful after we brought Lulu help when we had questions.

The dogs here are well taken care of, they have complete fufillment of all their needs, roomy kennels, covering, food, water, etc. I have adopted from here twice and am so pleased with both of my dogs and the exceptional care they were given. Penny works hard to match dogs to their people, carefully screening and making sure the dog will be cared for. She is truly passionate about her dogs. I highly reccomend.

My heart was broken when my bf and I lost our young dog to a tragic accident. It was horrible and wouldn't wish it on anyone. That being said, after months of looking for the "right" dog...we found a litter on Petfinder from pawsitive connections.I spoke with Penny...Founder...Adoption Coordinator! I told her all about my heartache and hopes for one of these pups! We knew the second we met pup that she was the one for us. We love her so much.Thank you Penny. I hope to work with you volunteering to help more of these dogs find their forever homes.

I love this rescue. They work so hard to make sure each dog is the right fit for each home. I have adopted fromthem twice now and I love how hard they work for their animals. From medical care all the way to the matching process. They go above and beyond and I fully support the work they do in their community.

Would give 0 stars if I could. This rescue allowed MY MOTHER to adopt a dog in MY NAME without meeting me, vetting me, or anything. The poor dog was a "gift" that I did not want. The dog is extremely undersocialized and does not do well with humans at all. It has taken months for her to get used to the people in the household and she cannot be taken in public due to fearfulness. Thankfully we don't have any children at home. She should not have been adopted out, especially not to a family sight unseen. The rescue provided no information at all about the dog. I emailed them to request more information and got radio silence. There is no other way to contact them. Completely irresponsible rescue which does not care about the well being of their animals.

Zero stars if it was possible. Jim bob is a very smart pup, but he was never ready to be adopted. He had been in a "sanctuary" with many acres for a year. His only friends were other dogs. He was never socialized with humans, and he had never seen anything in the real world. The rescue group left us with Jim Bob, a family with young kids, without vetting us nor giving us ANY pertinent information about the dog. Jim Bob ran away after just 1.5 days after we got him. He never went to the bathroom on leash, and would not go into the house when outside and vice versa. After a long night in the house, we tried to get him to go to the bathroom in the morning. He would not leave. We carried the crate outside the door (he was 75 lbs plus the weight of the crate), and as we were trying to put the leash on him, he dashed off into the wild mountains behind our house. For six full days he lived out there in the wilderness. Our cameras showed him in the vicinity of the house, but as soon as he heard or saw us, he barked and ran the other way. Our children worried sick for him and cried for days. We worried sick that a bob cat or a pack of coyotes or a mountain lion would get him. The stress this terrible shelter put on us is indescribable. We hadn't slept well nor able to go our normal daily routine for days. We received help from experienced, kind people, who found traps for us and talked to us about how we could help Jim Bob. Even with their professional help, this dog was not going to be trapped. He was too smart for his own good, and escaped twice from the trap. Traps set by an experienced dog catcher who was getting advice from three other top dog catchers around. Once he even came right back and appeared to be studying the mechanism of the trap! The morning of the 7th day, the adoption coordinator of the shelter FINALLY came to our house at 7 in the morning. Penny Pumphrey is her name. She found him, called to him, and within a minute, she had him and put him in her van. I had called Penny for help twice and told her what happened. She showed no remorse, no concern, and didn't offer ANY HELP AT ALL. Penny revealed at some point that she was concerned that we would want our money back. THAT was her main concern. Not Jim Bob's safety. She knew she could get JB to go to her, yet she put us through this Hell for 6 days. We were standing there traumatized and shocked. She just left with the dog who is technically still ours. Without a word of sorrow for what she put us through, not a word of gratitude for all that we had done to try to get him back safely, she drove off with our dog that was never meant to be anyone's dog. Without a word to us.Even though JB spent most of the week on his own, we DID take care of him. Doing what we could to keep him safe, putting water out for him and setting traps to trap him. We cared for him and we miss him a lot. That is not how you treat people. That is not how you act as an adoption coordinator. Please stay away from Pawsitive Connections from Kingsburg, CA. If you do fall in love with a dog from their shelter. Please be mindful of what you might be getting into. Ask lots of questions (we did but got very vague answers each time). I would be interested to see if Jim Bob turns up lost again. If he does, I know the rescue is just pawning him off for profit.

Visited site today in Kingsburg due to no returned calls and was told location had heating but didn't. Dogs slept outdoors with no blankets or bedding in poor conditions.
