Horrible experience with the pharmacy pretty much every time I've been. Which has been often since I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last year and have had multiple surgeries. But today was probably the worst experience I've had to date. I had a fourth surgery on my throat at Stanford on Tues (3/26). The pain prescription was called into King City pharmacy that evening. Two days later (today 3/28) when I called because I was in a lot of pain and needed my prescription I was told it still hadn't been filled. With no answer to why. Then when I asked how long it would take I was told a long time since I was bothering her by calling. I asked if it would be an hour or two? And all I was told was "no" "longer". And then she hung up on me. I live in the country so I can't just drop in and wait especially when I'm recovering from surgery. I was hung up on for no reason with no answer. I called back again to try to get an answer and was again hung up on. I waited 3 hours and called back and she informed me she finally had time to fill it. My mom ended up going to get it for me because by this point my throat hurt so bad I couldn't even talk. When I looked at the prescription to see if it had the name of whoever it was that was so rude to me I noticed it had been filled since yesterday! So I was lied to multiple times and left waiting in pain for two days and treated horribly. Whoever "helped" me over the phone should not be working with customers. Especially customers who are needing their medication. My family and I will not be using that pharmacy anymore as long as the woman who I spoke to today is still employed there. If anyone knows who the manager is at that location I'd like them to know how that employee treats local customers. Absolutely unacceptable.

Horrible place to work and shop at. Long lines, poor customer service, the employees are clearly handling too much at once, shelves are either empty or disorganized, and when I worked there back in 2022, they discriminated against and fired me for my disability, as well as experienced racial discrimination from certain customers. If you want to work here, reconsider if you have disabilities, because they will can you if you ask for the appropriate accommodations. If you shop here, don't bother; please consider going somewhere else. Rite Aid dealing with bankruptcy almost feels like karma.

Super excited that Rite Aid has declared bankruptcy. Hopefully they close this King City location since the shelves are empty and allow for another pharmacy like CVS or Walgreens to take its place. The photo center hasn’t worked in 10 plus years. No wonder they are going out of business

Worst service. Slow service. Zero warmth. O not answer phone, rings and goes around yhrough phone tree over and over. They text and say things are ready and when you get there they aren't. It's an embarrassing part of this town.

Alot of complaints with the pharmacy department in the reviews. Recently I have been in line there a few times to get some meds. Not too bad wait time. There where 2 people at the registers most times. The checkout for regular items at the store does have only 1 person at a register most of the time, like 99% of the time and I shop there alot and it can take a bit if you wait in line there. Although the self checkout always has 2 spots open. It's not used as often and I use them mostly, very fast checkout that way. Decent selection of items in a small town.

This is one of the best pharmacies that I've gone to. While on occasions the wait is long, the staff is very nice, particularly a pharmacist I believe was called Victor. He's very friendly and went out of his way to help me with everything and answered any questions I had about the medication. Despite the fact that they're quite busy there, he maintains a good disposition and provides excellent customer service. I will certainly be visiting again for my regular medications.

I live 40 minutes away. I scheduled a vaccination appointment online, provided my cell number for updates. Pharmacy closed early and they didn’t call me to let me know. I wasted 1.5 hours and $15 in gas. Go somewhere else that is more reliable.

I WORK IN A LEGIT CLINIC AND THIS WAS HORRIBLEEEEE. ZERO STARS , THEY RUINED MY DAY THEY WERE SOOOOO RUDE FOR NO REASON.I would leave a 0 star review if possible. We are from a clinic in hayward and we needed to call in a prescription for one of our patient and the process for this was ridiculous. First, when we had initially called to make the prescription but each time we would press the number to be redirected to the pharmacy they would just take us back to the main menu and this would happen repeatedly. We tried about 7 more times each time being on hold for about 10-15 minutes. We then saw the customer service phone online and we tried calling it only to be put on hold for about 20 minutes which is understandable but still a pretty long time. Once the phone was picked up by a male, I let him know what was going on and he let me know that he would try to get in contact with the pharmacy. The whole day they still did not pick up their phone which then led our patient to going to the pharmacy and calling us to show the pharmacists what was going on. Which then led to us finding out their phone was turned off THE ENTIRE TIME. Horrible customer service as far as how the pharmacist dealt with the whole situation. I could not understand them and they basically yelled at me when i had to have some information repeated. They just kept going "I SAID IS.THAT.ALL." so rude and so annoying.

So I mainly come to pick up prescriptions. The staff in the pharmacy are courteous. However, the fact that you often wait in a line for a half hour is ridiculous. Additionally, it makes no since that you can pay for your prescriptions online, but you still have to wait the same long line as everyone else. This is completely inefficient. Any other retailer has a specific line to pick up prepaid items and they are ready to go. Walgreens specifically has a line for express pick ups for pre-paid prescriptions to skip ahead of the line. If this wasn't the closest pharmacy to where I live and work, I would not come here.

I have NEVER seen such utter incompetence. I don't even know where to start with what is wrong at this pharmacy. They don't even know how to alphabetize their medication to find it in a timely manner. I have NEVER spent less than 45 minutes in line waiting. Also, They never pick up the phone. I finally got sick of it and I am moving to RYSA pharmacy. That has been a pain as well.. this is my 3rd day calling, stopping by, having my new pharmacy call, and fax. I STILL HAVENT RECIEVED MY MEDS. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Great pharmacy employee (always the case at this store), long line because of inadequate staffing resulted in a long wait (often the case at this store). They really work hard for you but they really need more staffing.

The King City Rite Aid is a good place to visit for last minute items to purchase quickly. It is very clean, and attendants are very helpful.

It's the pharmacies policy to lie and tell you you meds are done when there not so you have to spend longer in the store. THAT IS STORE POLICY. They have one register with a huge line while they have 3 CLOSED SELF CHECKOUTS. It would be a miracle if the employees bothered to put anything on the shelves

Not great customer service and slow. I called in my prescription and left a message on their voicemail. Never heard anything back so I called a few days later and found out it had been filled. When I went to pick it up there was one employee checkjng people out at the prescription counter and I think 5 people "working" in the back. I waited my turn in line..then for some reason the employee at the register allowed another customer to cut in front of me...no explanation. He was buying some kind of lotion which they couldn't find a price for so that took time. Also the bathroom was gross..pee on the floor and no toilet seat covers. Don't waste your time here. I will be transferring my prescription somewhere else.

Always long lines, only one or two people at cash registers if you're lucky...have fun waiting 30 mins to pick up prescriptions. Employees are nice, but the place is always a wreck, stuff out of place, not in stock. All Rite Aids are like this, though... theyre just lucky there is no other pharmacy in town. Go to Walgreens.

I don't understand why it takes over a day to get a prescription filled! It's very frustrating... I call in prescription early morning and it still ain't done at 5pm. This is the worst pharmacy ever. TAKING LONGER!! UGH. irritating. 😠

This place always has an excessive wait time to pick up a prescription. Be prepared to wait at least a 1/2 hour. It’s not employees fault they just don’t staff the pharmacy appropriately.

And once again a year later. I walk in looks like new staff at the pharmacy. The cashier gives the pharmacist my prescription out because it's listed as a controlled substance I don't look in the bag pay for my meds walk out to my truck and on the top of the bottle says opioids which could be no further from the truth what the meds are..I go back inside with them show them the top of the bottle says opioids which is a taboo they give me the schpeel that it's a classified drug so they put an opioid sticker on the top of it. Is it just me or is that misclassifying, improper labeling are a great way for someone to get in trouble for not having for scriptures that is an opioid label on the top of the bottle? if it said stimulant I would not have had once it at all but the bottle pretty much reads on the front of it was exactly what it is. this is the second time that they've done this once to my wife when she went to pick up my meds. is there a law or statute bO can contact to ask what the devil is going on?]King City, Ca. Worst pharmacy I've ever used and am stuck using. Store is a wreck here too. Who ever is giving then high ranks either hasn't really been there or must have friends that work there. For lack of a better phrase due to anguish this place sucks.

Great customer service! Especially Zacoro (the lady with long long black hair she drives a maroon van). she is always sooo nice and super helpful. Always has a smile on her face. She works very hard and is truly a good person.

Talking to one of my friends who had previously worked there they will falsely accuse a worker of stealing just to get them to quit of to get them fired it would be nice to be able to trust the companies since we do live in such a small town they don’t treat me badly just a casual following me around the store every once in a while and I get it cause I’m young

Only pharmacy I have to call and ask to process orders they already have, otherwise they just sit there. Tell you will be ready at certain time you come in hrs afterwards and still not done. Phone etiquette sucks, very rude.

The staff are friendly but the pharmacy needs improvement. Many times the medicine needed is out of stock and will have to wait 4 or 5 days before its available.

I wish I can give them 0 stars how is the pharmacy backed all the way up for a hr wait I called to see if my prescription was ready Sat on the phone trying to get ahold of pharmacist for 20 min after waiting for a text for 2 hrs but guess what rite aid did picked phone up sat it back down horrible horrible horrible place

Clean.. Friendly worker's.. Even tho lines are long they do work hard to get you out even in the pharmacy.. I complain just like everybody else but we don't realize making medication is not easy or fast.. I doubt any of us want wrong medication..

Sad dirty store. Lots of empty shelves and not much to pick from. Cashier seemed bored and not very helpful. Store needs a serious remodel. Prices are a bit much.
