Had some issues with a uhaul and got a room here for the night. Room was great (clean and looks like it was recently remodeled) but really wanted to point out the great service. All staff I interacted with from the front desk to cleaning service were great. They also helped me out with a late check out the next day and let me stay in the lobby a few hours while I waited for a tow. Continental breakfast was great, freshly made eggs and sausage, great coffee, even have a pancake and Belgium waffle maker there.

Best surprise: they have a J1772 so we charged our Tesla. We had pulled into the Supercharging station next door and walked to the hotel. While walking to our room, we saw the EV charging and moved our car. No complaints. Room was warm when we entered (unit set to 66), room clean, bed comfortable, more amenities than some in this class, good breakfast selection, including fancy coffee machine, and good price.

Disastrous experience at this hotel. The room was not cleaned properly, with stains on the sheets and a foul smell lingering. Attempts to contact staff about the noise from adjacent rooms were futile, leaving us sleep-deprived throughout the night. The promised amenities were either lacking or in poor condition. Breakfast was a disappointment with stale options and limited variety. Overall, a regrettable choice that tarnished our entire trip.

For some reason, Kettleman City is about twice as expensive as all the surrounding towns. While this is a newer hotel with a nice breakfast, the cleanliness was so-so, which is basically what I rate hotels on. The smoking area was covered in old dog poop, the pool wasn't clean, and clearly something had peed in the stairwell.

Absolute dump. We always stay at best westerns assuming they will be clean and secure. We got a pet room that was dirty. It was also an adjoining room with only a turn knob lock. The door leaked. We could smell there dinner and could hear there dogs sniffing the door. The walls were also paper thin. We could hear the people next door like they were in our room.

I don't know why everyone's complaining about the noise, my room was quiet and I'm a light sleeper. People just wanna complain I guess. My room was HUGE and very nice! If you stay there get the King Suit room 142! You have your own little area with no neighbors. It's clean, comfy, and it's bigger then my first apartment! I'll come back!

Terrible experience overall. The room was dirty, reeked of smoke despite being non-smoking, and the bed was uncomfortable. Staff were unhelpful and indifferent, and the noise from neighboring rooms kept us awake all night. The breakfast was subpar with stale pastries and weak coffee. Avoid this place if you value your comfort and peace of mind

I have a recent broken leg. I was put into the handicap suite which was very helpful for me. I was able to park closely and the shower head bars so I could navigate taking a bath for my very swollen leg.The room was quiet and I feel the parking lot was far away from anything so my things I left in the car were safe.Breakfast was nice - the staff was very nice!

The breakfast is way more than “continental.” There are fixings for breakfast burritos, including eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Machines to make pancakes and waffles. A yogurt bar. Cereal. Toast. Sure the level is quality isn’t exactly the Ritz, but it’s more than I expected and was an excellent way to feed the fam before getting back on the road.Biggest downside is there was only one EV charger and it was in use during our whole stay.

Easy off the Freeway last minute late night stop. Great price and very clean rooms. Felt safe and the area was quiet. In the morning they also had a standard buffet breakfast that was included with a pretty good assortment to choose from and even an automated espresso machine.Rooms: Super clean and nicer the the cheap polyester bedding.Safety: Quiet parking lot and no one hanging around nor was I concerned about my vehicle.

The receptionist was very pleasant. During breakfast the next day the attendant was really nice and offered to rearrange tables to accommodate our large family. Two downsides to our stay: access to the pool is very confusing if you are staying in the newer wing of the hotel, and the pool looks somewhat unkempt; there is also a plague of beetle like bugs in the entire area (streets around hotel, not just hotel) and some bugs do make it into the room.

Very clean rooms and the breakfasts were special. Besides a waffle maker there was an apparatus to make little pancakes, and hot eggs and sausage and much more! Great coffee machine that makes whatever you wish!!!

Broke down at the exit in the am, with no hesitation front desk said come right in and there's a room ready for you. Plus we still had time to catch the breakfast buffet too. Dog wasn't an issue. Has well lit area to park semi and trailer. In addition CDL discount. Got a clean room with the AC on as we walked in.A little town across the street to eat and waste time. This place saved us from the heat. We appreciate everything that was done to make us comfortable. Thanks MariRooms: Clean and coolNearby activities: Town was great to eat and shopSafety: Well lit around entire building

So I was a little worried at first since it's in a tiny town. But I was quite surprised! The staff was great and rooms looked clean but after walking on the floor for a couple of mins our feet were completely black. We didn't realize until we took a shower got cleaned up literally walked to the bed from the bathroom and our feet completely black again. We were pretty grossed out. If the floors were cleaned more often then I would have no complaints everything else was great!

Not a good experience. The bugs inside the hotel are more than abundant. The door to our room was practically an interior home door, with a lock that is not even secured to the door properly. Our door also had a 1”+ gap underneath which you could easily see straight through. The exterior doors for hotel patrons to use do not close automatically which means they’re constantly open - which likely contributes to the bug issue. There is lawn equipment and hoses blocking main sidewalks to the entrance doors to the back building of rooms, which makes it difficult and dangerous to navigate for even an able bodied person. The room air conditioning is not adequate for cooling the room + the drapes hang down over the air vent, blocking it from being able to cool the room once they’re closed. When I asked the front desk how to use the drapes and a/c at the same time, they told me to tuck them into the window - which is not possible. The window frame in our room was rotted out and the window panes are loose. The pillows/pillowcases have a heavy perfume smell - much stronger than fabric softener smell. The bathroom smelled like a strong sewer odor - totally gagging. $175 for 1 night gets you a “suite,” which is a standard hotel room + 5 extra feet where the couch is, and if you want extra pillows you need to go to the office yourself to get them. The location is convenient but also shady, and likely a great place for crime. There is a small “turf” area which appears to be for smoking &/or pets but there is a lot of trash and broken glass in the area. There’s not much around - but lots of places for people to park, near the hotel. I would NOT stay here again.Do NOT buy gas in this town. It’s $2+ more per gallon here than anywhere else around!
