What a fabulous family experience. it is beautiful and the staff was so helpful about anything. Robert is a FABULOUS and fun guide, made my 11 year old LAUGH so much. Thanks to Linda for keeping an eye on the little guy who got too worried to go down one more time. Good experience... highly recommend.

Too loud, there was a party the whole night outside; the day we arrived there was no water but we were informed only the next day, strange… the idea and place would be nice but there is a lot of dirt around and not everyone gets a private fireplace. The bed are really comfortable and the people working trying there best I think but for the price you should get more and once you arrived you can’t go back.

I have been requesting a refund for a September booking for the last 3 months but have been rerouted to the admin email over 5 times with no response. They’ve promised to refund us the first couple times and then to “look into it” over 5 times with no one actually following up or giving us the actual refund. We have asked politely and even begged multiple times for someone to just give us an update because we just want to make sure the booking isnt taking up a spot and that we can get our full refund. It seems like maybe they are waiting until they can deny our refund as “too late”…? I’m leaving this review in hopes that someone at SoCal can see this and please help us!

We had such an incredible experience with this rafting company!! They are very great about taking secure, safety measures and ensuring that everyone has a good time! Our guide was Slim, and he was fantastic! We felt safe the entire time and truly enjoyed our two trips down the river! Slim was engaging, helpful, and just an overall great guy!! We were so pleased with our visit to Kern Valley, and this rafting expedition took it to the next level! If you are looking for a great rafting experience when you visit the area, this is the place you will want to go!!

Love it Here!Camp Host Carrie is so nice, accommodating and knowledgeable about the area and will tell you where to hike. Clean area to sleep and explore the River. Outdoor showers are amazing. Cabins are cozy and clean. I Feel safe and staff is helpful and courteous.Noteworthy details: Bring your own camping gear...just not the tent .....

We have the best experience here rafting for the first time. Our guide, Michael was amazing! He was considerate that we had kids in the boat. His ride was gentle yet exciting enough! We tried first ride and it was so fun that we decided to do second ride immediately after the first ride. Second ride was even better! We loved this and hope to do it again!

This was an awesome trip for my girls and I! This was our first trip and were impressed by the courtesy and friendliness of all the staff. The guides were great although for younger children, the language seemed a tad colorful. Aside from that, they were thorough and made sure that everyone had a great time.A few notables were Summer, Angel, Kimmy and Alonzo. Our guide Clayton was fantastic and really made sure to give my daughters (7 & 9) a great rafting experience! Highly recommend for a first time rafting adventure.

Had to cancel our camping reservation last minute due to a family member feeling unwell. Upon notifying them of the cancelation we received no response. Radio silence since then. If you read through the Google reviews you'll realize most of the positive comments pertain to the rafting experience and the ones pertaining to the campgrounds list a number of issues with contacting management....or anyone for that matter. If you add up all the negative reviews of those that have not recieved a refund...it can be estimated that this company owes several thousands of dollars to its undeserving guests. The cancelation policy states they will do their best to issue a refund - well that's been proven completely false...what a joke. I would recommend taking legal action if you are owed.

Had an absolute BLAST! Our guide was Paul and he was amazing. Was clear when giving directions on the van ride to the drop spot, and on the river he was very patient and knew exactly what he was doing. Everyone that was working the day we went were all very kind and helpful. The pictures that were taken were amazing and clear. All in all great experience and time! Definitely have to do it again. HIGHLY recommend everyone that plans on taking a trip to Kernville to schedule a guide with this company. You won't regret it!

I brought my little cousin here to celebrate his 13th birthday and we had a BLAST. Everyone was super friendly and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. The preparation for the rafting was through and quick. The ladies at the front desk we super nice and held my car keys for me (for free) so I could leave my valuables in the car. Our guide Isaiah was SUPER friendly and made our trip extra exciting with all his knowledge of the area and the cool tricks he helped us perform while we were on the raft. He even showed us a rope swing! I highly recommend this place for any occasion :)

What an amazing team of rafting guides. On Aug 2, 2019 a large group of us newbie rafters was looking for a thrill ride on the Kern River. We stopped by SoCal Rafting not sure what to expect or if they could even accommodate us, without hesitation they got us all processed quickly and we were in our gear before you knew it. The guides were professional, knowledgeable about the river and personable. Each one had their own sense of humor and style. We totally recommend going with this company if you're in the mood for some fun white-water rafting in the sun. We will definitely becoming back. It was such a memorable experience. Big shout out to "JJ" and the rest of the guides that took such great care of us.

Had my first experience white water river rafting with SoCal Water Rafting on the Kern river. Once in a lifetime experience. They were extremely professional, safe, and made sure we had lots of fun! Our guide was Big John, and I'd say to definitely ask for him. He was funny, loose, and very much safety first. We all got extremely wet and the whole family loved it! 10/10

First time down the river and couldn’t have picked a better company or staff to use. Our guide James was awesome! He was very knowledgeable, kind, and funny! He told great stories about each set of rapids and explained each one well before we got there. Our daughter is 13, first time and loved it! Highly recommend and will be back again and ask for James. I love having Heather as our guide! We were a group of 7 and she knew exactly how to handle the waters and a large group. Her communication skills were amazing paired with her rafting abilities. It helped our whole group feel safe and ready! We will definitely be coming back again and requesting her as our guide!

Thank you for a great experience. I was TERRIFIED at first, but our guide Max was great in assuring me we would be fine. Even though he was young, he showed patience and was an awesome guide. I would like to see them have a dressing/changing room. A great tour for first time rafters. Thanks again!

It was an amazing first experience. The staff was well educated experienced and equipped. MARIO, our guide was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the rapids and guiding us down the right path. I took my husband and two kids (12&6 yrs old) they each loved it. Really planning on returning and becoming a season member. We all wanted to go for another round. Definitely suggest getting the two trips around. It was great for a first timer. Had a great trip. Isaiah was our tour guide and he made it clear and simple on what to do and what not to do. He was very relaxed and knowledgeable which put us at ease. This was my first time rafting and it was very enjoyable. Would recommend this for anyone, kids included. Cindy and Kahleya (sorry for the misspelling) were awesome at the store for checkout and video/picture purchase! Thanks to everyone for making my 30th birthday a blast!

From start to finish Isaiah was very friendly and super helpful! My 12 year old daughter had never been rafting before and he made her feel very comfortable with the whole experience. She loved it. Isaiah and Slim were both extremely knowledgeable and we'll definitely do this again in the future. Even Kahlaia in the office was great! Wonderful staff and great experience! One of the most fun adventures ever! This was my first time white water rafting and everybody was great and helped us with the learning curve. Special shoutout to Chris and Isaiah, our tour guides, for helping us out every time we got stuck or things got a bit too chaotic! We'll definitely be asking for them next time we come back!

Let me tell you this is a really quaint spot....if you want the real camping experience but with a pillow top mattress and just pleasant comfortable surroundings this is the place to be... They have taken all the amenities of camping and made the not so pleasant parts a pleasure.... it has everything at your disposal from rafts to bikes to swim shoes just a nice experience all around. The camp host was a pleasure aswell.... She was attentive and friendly and I highly recommend this place .

Came today with my boyfriend and his family. Did the 3 hour long trip with lunch afterwards. Our guide Troy was very smart and made sure we enjoyed our whole trip. It was fun interacting with the other boats and the rapids were great. Overall great experience! I would definitely come again.

My husband and I have rafted with SoCal twice now. Their staff is amazing and keeps us coming back. Angel is so helpful and will help you book your trip. We've rafted with James our first time and he was a great guide, no wonder why his nickname is the Black Knight! The second time we went, we did the inflatable kayaks and we had Tyler and John as our guides. Both were also great guides and made the trip so much fun! Can't wait to come back in May 2018!

We had a blast...especially with the guidance of Roman (Luigi). He was very knowledgeable about rafting and got us going pretty good. He was also a great tour guide. We can’t wait to come back next year in the summer time when the river is a little faster.

A group 8 of us came here for a rafting trip down the Kern River, and it was a blast! It had been years since the last time I went, so I was excited to go again, as an adult this time.The staff was all friendly and knowledgeable. Our raft guides, Robert and Chris, were so friendly and engaging that it made the trip so much better than expected. The team of guides were all focused on safety and clearly made sure not to make it seem forced or boring. After getting off the bus at the launch site, while some staff were getting the rafts set up, the other guides played games with the larger group of rafters.Since we were all adults, our group felt pretty confident in going as groups of 4 (two total rafts), and it was perfectly fine. We had two GoPro cameras, so they set up a raft mount for one and a helmet mount for the other group. Robert and Chris were very accommodating for what we wanted to do, whether it was simply raft down the river calmly, or get out and swim whenever we stopped after each section of rapids and have more fun with the rapids.We had so much fun that we decided to go back later in the day when they had an opening and requested​ Robert again for a single group/raft of 6.Instead of a normal rafting trip with boring safety instructions and the feeling of missed opportunities for fun, we had an excellent trip with the expectation that if we go camping in the area again, we will be back here!

I had a great adventure with friends on my first tubing trip ever. It was something on my bucket list and I am so glad we came to SoCalRafting. Our guide ,”Toolbox”,was really great and I felt very safe with him and Tish. Looking forward to coming back for the rafting trip with them and future tubing trips too.

I had a great rafting experience thanks to So Cal Rafting. I had come with a group of friends, and they were welcoming to us. One of my friends was being funny and even so, the employee Frank not only tolerated, but riffed off of him and made him feel welcome. We met up with our guides, Isaiah and Mike, and they showed us the tips and tricks of white water rafting. We went in the tubes and I think I like it a lot better than being in a raft. The rafts looked cool though. When we were leaving on the bus, Frank decide to last minute come with us, leaving us happy. We really enjoyed being with Frank, Isaiah, and Mike. We even took a picture with them, and my funny friend took one squeezing Mike’s muscles. They were so cool with it. Any one would enjoy rafting with them. #stayyolked
