This place was really great, laid-back saloon vibe, unpretentious with an exceptional selection of beer. The staff was engaging and friendly. The patrons were diverse and seemed like an easy crowd to get along with. Couple pool tables, shuffleboard, nice covered patio where you can enjoy a drink and watch the town. Can't wait to get back!

I live 12 miles away from the saloon. It was my first time there and it was Soo much fun! Great prices, great service and one of the best live bands I've heard in years. I even met the owner Jim. He was also a very nice guy and I loved sitting on the patio overlooking the park.. This is a, you have to go if you want to have a great time. Cheryl Knox

Seen it many times but have only been inside once. Came with a friend last year before checking out the other nearby shops. Wasn’t inside too long, but had fun looking at all the decor. Definitely should check it out if you are in town.Parking: Can be difficult to find parking if it’s a major holiday or weekend. There is more parking by the park by the Shell gas station. Some walking required 🚶🏽‍♀️

Great Saloon, great staff. Jim was extremely nice and helpful. The kitchen was closed and staff still made an effort to get me a great tasting pastrami sandwich and great fries. Jim even saw me on the side of the road when I was trying to leave, on my last day of my trip and helped me get my motorcycle running again. A must visit if your in the area.

Best watering hole in Kernville! Two pool tables and shuffleboard. Band on Friday and Saturday. Free pool sometimes. Full bar excellent service, burgers and fries if you like.

We came in on a Saturday night and Geri our bartender was amazing 👏 the music was great and so was the vibe! The coolest part is we were able to drink all night and just rented one of the Apts up stairs and didn't have to drive anywhere!! The apt is so nice , and comfy and very reasonably priced! This will be are go to everytime we visit. Thank you Jim and Geri

I absolutely love this gem. Came out on a Friday night with the girls and had the most delicious pastrami sandwich I have ever had! I will go back for that alone! Very friendly staff and owner , they made you feel right at home. Great selection of spirits and good vibes. Cheers till next time.

We went to Kern last weekend and popped in to this bar (Kernville Saloon) to see if they served breakfast… started talking to the bartender Debbie and ended up having the most incredible time ever!!! We met the COOLEST locals too… Misty, Tamara and Mike…I believe that was their names. Oh and Raider Rick too!! Hung out at the bar from 10a-5p…. HAD A FREAKING BLAST!!! And Debbie makes the best bloody Mary’s I’ve ever had!!! Can’t wait to go back again!!!!

Atmosphere was good! Staff and customer service was unfair. I was enjoying myself with my friend when a staff member brought my behavior to my attention and told me to "chill out" when there was more people acting out of hand ! I feel like this had something to do with skin color or my way of looking! Over all it was something different but pretty disappointing in the way we were treated

Great local place. Our bartendress, Carol, was great. Gave us the "lay of the land" Highly recommended for a cold draft beer. Classic dive bar. Must stop when in Kernvile. Still the best bar in town. Gotta stop in and visit

Nice place for an old by myself until this past weekend. Now I'm dirt to this place over an old girl who forgot what she did her backpack. It was outside cause it had beer in it. Needless to say a girl found it outside where I left it. It turned into a disaster with owner and security guard rousted me. Jim owns the bar security changes toilet paper in bathrooms, only person I've seen evicted was me. It was his fault and owner, not to see exactly was going on. I will never go and be man handled again. I'm 62yrs old, good job old man's .k saloon

I didn’t go to this saloon to eat. We went in to see if they had any vegan options, as Im vegan and was craving a burger. We left when they said no, but the owner (? I believe) ran after us and let me know he could make me a veggie wrap. We ended up going to another spot but the gesture was so genuine that I wanted to recognize it.
