Enjoyed a delightful overnight stay at this charming inn. The price was reasonable, and even though we arrived quite late, check-in was a breeze. Woke up to a stunning morning view—it's peaceful, and the river is just across the street. Our room had a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge and microwave. The restroom was on the smaller side, but for an overnight stay, no complaints. The room overall was cozy and comfortable. Didn't get to interact with anyone, but fortunately, everything in the room worked well, making our stay great!

Room was cute. As I type this, at 1:00 am, music is blaring upstairs, people walking around. Alot of noise and unable to sleep. Surprised the manager didnt make the noise stop. NEVER again will we stay here. It is a shame because the room and location is amazing.Noteworthy details: Waay too nosiy from the people upstairs. Going to be a long day tomorrow with no sleep.

Great location for anything in Kernville and the local area. Nice rooms with a great view out towards the river. Very relaxing place.Rooms: Nice and spacious with a good view out towards the river.Nearby activities: Kern River Brewing is a 5 minute walk. The hiking trails are only a short drive up the road.Walkability: All the town is walkable from here.

Booked this place on accident (I thought I booked the place I stayed at 5 years ago), but I was not disappointed. Not gonna share which "room" I stayed in because I don't want it overbooked in the future, but if you find the gem at this place you'll know what I'm talking about.Front desk was friendly and helpful. My room was clean! And cozy! Some areas are dated (may get an update soon), and some have been recently updated, but the stay was amazing nonetheless.Across from the river and close to town, I'm definitely booking again for a family stay, only when this room is available.

We booked last minute on our way to Kernville and actually stayed at the "sister property" the riverview inn which is right next door. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Cute, roomy, clean-definition of charming! It has a nice sized front yard, covered porch, little patios in the back, ac, an adorable fireplace and it's right across from the river. We were traveling with the grandparents and there was 6 of us and we all fit comfortably. The woman who took our reservation was very helpful and pleasant and when we got in late and had trouble with the code, the after hours service was so friendly and helpful. We're so bummed we were only in town for a night but plan on going back soon!!Walkability: Walking distance to the downtown area and breakfast spots

This place is perfect. The manager was down to earth and very pleasant and above helpful with a genuine concern & care for their customers needs and comfort. The inside gives you a cozy warm feeling with glowing knotty pine all throughout the inside. Nice galley/breakfast bar kitchen, kitchen table, large living room with a fireplace, large windows for an awesome view of the park and river, full size fridge, private washer/dryer, and front and back balconies. The price is MORE than reasonable. I didn't want to leave. Having said all this I was a visitor that spent many hours in the top suite with friends ( Carla & Doug), who also felt the same. I highly recommend this place. 👍👍👍

Never again. Room itself was actually nice, but service & hygiene incredibly bad. Even though we booked for 3, there were only bedsheets for 2. One had to sleep on the couch without any sheets. Insects all over the place, also the beds. Toilet had urine all over it, water pressure in the shower non-existent (see images). Office was empty during the entire evening (we arrived at 5pm, I knocked every 10 minutes until midnight), telephone number not answered, so we just had to live with it. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Beautiful location. And lovely property. Only the bathroom was very small. Also had issues with hot water on our second morning. We were 3 adults in suite #2. The sofa bed was comfortable

I would recommend staying here to anyone. This 2 bedroom house was big enough for the six of us and still didn't even touch the pull out bed cause we had plenty of room...The couches were big and were recliners making it a roomy sleeping area as well. My boys (19yrs and 10yrs old) loved them. We had a yard for our daughter to play in and a porch to enjoy the BEAUTIFUL view of the park across the street. The river runs along the park and is easy to just walk across the street and throw out a cast ( yes they bite) and run in the house for another beer😁 I will be adding this to our family vacation list because we enjoyed it so much, we didn't want to leave. The staff was super friendly and made our accommodations a priority.Thank You for sharing your property with my family and I. We made a lot of memories and will be making more in the future cause we will be back.

Preferred the Cottonwood Suite when it had a queen bed and a full sized futon couch with a coffee table in front of it. I used the couch and table as my office area and it worked great! As an essential worker who regularly visits the area for extended stays, this was a pleasant surprise.Unfortunately, on my next visit, the owner had removed the couch and coffee table and put in a second queen sized bed, making it difficult to move around and the room lost its appeal and function.

Two couples had a fantastic time! We were there for a weekend, the place is great! Plenty of room for a few more, either singles or kids maybe. Kitchen was clean, bathrooms were ok, one kinda leaked a little onto the floor from shower. Beds were either queen/full only, and comfortable. Rest of the furniture was fantastic. We were upstairs and enjoyed it from morning coffee, to the last drink B4 bed. Waking distance to anything you want or need! And the view! Great place, want to go again real soon!

Owners were very nice and helpful. The room was great. We had 4 adults and 4 kids in the big rim with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything worked and the beds and pull out couches were excellent. There wasn't much light in the main room so we had to rig up lighting over the table.No real complaints and I'd absolutely stay there again.

Great location, great price, nice staff.Our room had a kitchen and was clean.There is a nice sitting area with chairs and a bbq.It is walking distance to restaurants and shops and directly across from the river. Perfect for sunrise fishing.2 small cons:The bathroom was a bit small, could be uncomfortable for a very large person.The AC was not really cutting it on a very hot day. It seems that small, window type units were in a lot of buildings, probably no different anywhere else.

Stayed here this past weekend with my husband and my two small daughters. It was the best place me and my husband stayed at. It was comfy better than being home. Kitchen, pots, pans, coffee maker, air bed, nice shower (very hot water) which was a huge plus, cable tv with loads of channels, private parking in the back, kitchen table, walking distance to the river and kernville. It was very clean when we got the place and the towels even smelled nice. I will be back here again and would certainly recommend it to my friends.

The experience of being on the waterfront was awesome and the memories made here were great but it needs a lot of upgrading. The sleeper couch they have are so worn out I'm sure we're supposed to be retired back in the early 90s. Just way too uncomfortable. And God forbid you wanna sleep on it or lay/sit on the actual couch. I felt like I was sitting on a squishy brill pad. And the shower was clogged and out dated. But if you are just there to sleep and spend quality time with your family it's good.

Extremely clean. Towels and linen smelled freshly washed. I was the third to shower of 4 and there was plenty of hot water available.Right across the river, so close you can hear it's beautiful sound. Walking distance to a little park, grocery store, shops and restaurants. Great location.Recieved a call from management about our special requests same day. I would definetly stay here again and highly recommend this cute place.

This has to be the best place to stay in Kern! I felt at home and welcome, it was clean and really interesting you can tell they put a lot of tlc into their establishment. Also having the river just right outside your door is to die for!

We loved it here , we rented out the top Part of the Cabin , I loved there rocking bench where you can see the river from, It’s so relaxing 😌. The cabin was clean and had a lot of extra towels , they even have a cute patio in the back with barbecues . The staff is friendly.

The room was very cold. Air conditioning didn't work properly. Very noisy neighbor listened music at 03AM - no managment to fix it. No hot food for breakfast. No river view - the view is under the bridge.For 126 dollars you expect at least not opened toiletries! In my case half of them was used by previous tenent. Even the toilet seat was very old, looks like 30 years old at least! Cracks everywhere.

OMG just loved it it's amazing the staff are so caring and awesome and it's right across the street from the river and a play area for the kids the rooms are reasonable and they have different set up some have two bedrooms some have a divider but just one big room they have kitchenettes and if you rent the upstairs two room suite it is totally amazing and right now on their off season it's only $180 a night and their pet friendly that's very important

Me, my husband and our son stayed here for a night and were amazed at how cool the place was. The location is perfect, right next to everything. The room was big and it had a kitchen in it.
