I always loved archies. Jill ran it beautifully. Now the new owner Vijal Suther a business woman who owns hotels in big bear and ran for congress in San Bernardino County is running in the ground. There is hardly any inventory in the store. It's very disappointing going in there now. We need you to fix the problem and bring back our little town hardware store

Really small hardware store but I love it there. They always ask if you need help! And I personally love the employees. My favorite employee is definitely Kyle! He is amazing with customer service and well everything he does is amazing for and too his customers! Definitely goes above and beyond for anybody!!!!! Keep up the great work guys!! Such a small store but such a huge inventory definitely more expensive than normal but you're in kernville so you kind of gotta expect it! 😂

Female help is extremely cold and rude. Both that I’ve dealt with must hate the tourists. Whom might I add support to their community. The prices I understand but they could lose the attitude.

Had exactly what we needed and more. Didn't mind talkin' to out of towners and the overly-freindly cat security guard was an added plus. Great place!

Great little hardware store on the Kern River. Always friendly and helpful. You can't always find exactly what you need, but they have what most people will need to fix most home improvement projects or repairs in the KRV.

This is a great little hardware store that will always seems to have what you need regardless of the shops size, the employees are kind and thoughtful and will ask you what you need without needing to ask! And there is a helpful cat always wandering the shop if you need more assistance 😂 check this shop out if you drive by Kernville in need of any of the usual house and garden items 👍

Jill always has exactly what I'm looking for and if I describe something to her she takes me right to it. If I'm not quite sure how to use it she tells me. If I look like I don't know what I'm doing she tells me how I should do it. Jill is looking for someone to buy the hardware store, we'll be moving out of state to be with her mom and she will be deeply missed when she finds that special somebody. I just hope someone shares the knowledge and the enthusiasm she has for that store because Kernville really needs their hardware store.

Okay, who knew that a little Ace Hardware store in Kernville would have such a great selection, and totally cool staff. If you need some hardware, check it out. And they have a bunny and chicken (Indonesian apparently) that help out at the counter.

I'm faced with a difficult emergency of sorts when the A/C just stops and no one around to repair it. So I know what I have to do,I just don't know how best to prepare and the best way of going about working under my home which I've never been.I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who helped me, but I went in thinking I'll be a good laugh of conversation of the workers there being so green on this. I'm a computer guy and always hire someone to do electrical or mechanical work around the house.That said, this guy was as kind as can be. I not once felt belittled or embarrassed. Instead I walked out with confidence that I can get the job done, which by the way I did and the A/C was up and running just a few hours later.I can't express how much his one on one help was appreciated and needed without even having to request it.My money will always go to businesses that have people like they have at Archie's Hardware.
