Please don’t take this the wrong way, but if money isn’t an object for you then this is the place to shop. It’s significantly more expensive than other grocery stores, but its quality and diversity is considerably better than the other lower priced grocery stores in town. They have a fantastic deli, butcher shop and prepared foods to go. You can’t go wrong with anything you choose in the prepared foods, deli, bakery, wine section and butcher shop. Ask for Richard, the nice Englishman with a funny accent who has been serving the fine people of Marin County since 1899. lol. You can’t get bad advice about your meat from the man behind the meat counter. Tell him Rachel sent you and he’ll take good care of you. Enjoy!

Woodlands is always a wonderful store to visit! Today, Christmas Day, made me appreciate how exceptional of a business it is. The store was fully staffed with happy employees dressed festively. (I was never remotely cheerful when I had to work on a holiday!) I had just returned from a trip and had zero prepared foods in the house. They had the most gorgeously prepared holiday foods and treats in abundance. Before I left, I wrote a thank you note I asked to be posted in the employee area. You truly made this holiday wonderful and I thank you!!!

Thank you for the stellar roast beef with blue cheese sandwich today. The line was long but the wizard who made my sandwich today did an amazing job, sorry I did not get your name. He had a sense of humor and kept the line moving. If you're in the neighborhood and are hungry for a quality sandwich look no further. I frequent this location a bit more than Tiburon but I hope they have the same quality/attention to detail.

Expensive, but great assortment of items.I did buy a Cobb salad at the price of $13.49 and the tomatoes in it were soft and disgusting. Had to throw them out. For a $13.49 salad, everything in it should be FRESH! Do better Woodland prepared foods! Not worth the cost.

Delighted to see they carry Uji Time Ice cream here, the most trendy ice cream brand in the bay area.

The clerics and cashier have been so friendly and helpful recently that I had to comment. As I will be critical of disrespect I will also give credit where credit is due and many of the new cashiers here are so friendly and patient. There is always a safe person on hand to help and I’ve seen the clerks being so good with the older aged customers and looking out for them when things are busy. That make me feel good and safe for my when she shops here.

Consistently great deli service, the espresso bar makes a smooth cappuccino, they carry the Financial Times, their desserts are nice, (salt caramel cookies, cheesecakes, and key lime pie all quite good imo). Great imported goods, reasonably priced imo. Good people, also.

Upscale market in select suburb.Would have 5 stars if the prices were not significantly higher than quality comparable stores. That being said the prepared foods deli section is excellent, both in taste and variety and well worth a visit. The produce section is well stocked with quality items although the organic selection is too meager for my taste. There is a pleasant outside seating area, the ambience of the store has a good feeling and the staff are friendly and helpful

A high end market with prices to match. But for a busy professional with little time to cook dinner, their take out entrees are delicious and convenient. The Friday and Saturday evening wine tastings are also fun. They charge $5 for the tasting and donate the money to local schools. They also give you a $2 discount on any bottle of wine featured at the tasting you decide to purchase.

a high quality market. think of it like whole foods but a neighborhood version with a wooden aesthetic. the bathroom is for 2 people instead of 1 which im not a fan of. i prefer privacy but it can also be good thing if 2 people need to go at the same time. also the food they serve is generally pretty good too. i like the chicken crunchy tacos. the soft chicken tacos werent that great however.

Over priced. When you see a ham for $150 there is something wrong. Some checkers are really lovely, while others act as if you are lucky they deign to ring out your order. The prepared foods section used to be excellent but now is filled with 60% Mexican dishes and not very good ones at that. The cheese monger is always pleasant, as are the meat department clerks. If you enjoy paying outrageous prices for groceries, this is your place.

Prices are high, it has good service, and it's better than Lucky.

Probably the most expensive supermarket in Marin/California. That would be more tolerable if the food was of a higher quality. The fresh produce is good but the butchery is terrible. It's staffed by angry old men who are personally offended if you ask if any of their meat is organic (it isn't). Whole Foods is way better. It's great that Woodlands is solar powered.

Right off, expensive, however, you get what you pay for. I love the convenience of this market/restaurant/florist. Parking can get busy at certain times. They have a good selection of organic foods, produce and good deli and meat department. They make their own heat up dinners, made fresh. The store and restaurant is keep very clean, you see them working all of the time and helpful, by actually taking you there to the product. All in all, excellent place to call a home shopping area.

They are kind of pricey. I refuse to shop here for regular items because of being higher priced.

Excellent prepared food, very good produce and meet and fish counter. Above average bakery. Only drawback is about 10-20% more than Whole Foods. Lovely atmosphere, and an attached gas station, florist and cafe.

No justification for inflated prices on standard items. 50-100 percent above everyone else for standard items. Yes a good butcher, good but outrageous priced produce, no one's time is so valuable that an always ready checker is worth a doubled basket. With so many good fresh organic markets now just no excuse.

You can't wrong with Woodlands Market. The pre made/deli case foods are amazing, the selection beyond anything you would expect for a store this size, and everyone who works there is always ready to help. They offer great produce, a nice wine and beer selection and plenty of high end offerings. It's a great store, with great eats, and never a line at check out. The only thing that you have to consider is price, it's nutty expensive, but it comes with the location I guess.

We go to Woodlands frequently. Great Deli with prepared meals. At the meat counter we frequently purchase the premixed fahita chicken for taco night. We also enjoy their crabcakes and seafood cakes. Great quality. They always have an adequate number of checkers active.

I have lived near this market for ~15 years and it is truly fantastic. The kind, service oriented staff, good produce selection, fantastic meat, fresh fish, and many exotic or high end grocery items so hard to find at regular markets make it special. It ain’t cheap, but the selection, quality and service are so good that it’s my go-to grocery store.

Best supermarket meat counter I have seen. Butchers know their stuff. Great selection and multiple options (such as grass-fed, organic, etc.) Well-stocked supermarket overall. You pay for high quality here, but you really get high quality and top notch service.

Good selection but extremely overpriced. Meant for residents of the high-end Kentfield suburbs. Large parking lot, but very little bike parking and difficult accessibility to the Kent Ave sidewalks.

One of the nicest and cleanest market I ever been to. Their fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood are always fresh and at the same time little pricy as well (quality matters). I go here is because its less than 5 min drive from where I live and great selections as well. and great staff

This place doesn't know how to stick to their prices. I bought a 4 dollar rice crispy treat that was a dollar off, when I left the location I then found out they charged me the full price. But other than not paying attention to what they charge customers and being pricey this place is ok to go pick up an item here and there. I wouldn't go grocery shopping here you'll end up broke.

Yummy, higher end small chain of gourmet grocery stores (there was only one when I was growing up, but they've expanded). They only get 4 b/c they stopped making the to-die-for coconut cream cake.

Nice sushi ladies. Fresh drinks, yummy produce. Friendly employees. The list goes on... Only downside is that the prices are defined by 'Marin prices' =$$$ for groceries.

If you enjoy cooking fresh, making healthy organic meals, I recommend shopping here. Yes, it's expensive to eat organic and the location of this store is on the pricy side, but their selections are wide and fresh. They also have ready made meals near the deli counter, I highly recommend the Chicken Marsala. They also offer cooked selections of meals. Woodlands Market has two locations, here in Kentfield and Tiburon. Both locations have a good selection of fresh produce, meats and seafood. Bon Appetit.

Good assortment of produce and prepared foods. Nice wine selection. Pleasant people. Outrageous prices. Makes Whole Wallet look like Costco.
