5 Stars for how friendly and helpful everyone is here. Besides a rude bleached blonde girl who worked the front cashier yesterday. The other day I had 3 different people helping me with my soil issues and they were AMAZING. Drew and "Doc" in the back are the most helpful and friendly guys!!

They do a very nice job with the plants. A good variety and they're well watered and in good shape. The home decor selection hasn't changed much in seven years or more. The clothing--considering they are one of a few places to buy clothes in the county, they only provide a phone booth for a dressing room, and most materials are synthetic, so I don't buy clothes here. The renovation products, from linoleum to vanities, are also outdated, drab and pricy. There's no selection of non-toxic paint products. They do nice Christmas trees and decor at the holidays. The staff is sometimes surly but willing to help when you ask. Cesar, in plants, is awesome.

Went there for the first time yesterday. Great store!! It is huge inside, even has a restaurant that has good food! The young man in the front was nice greeting me as I walked in. Couldn't find the item I was looking for so I walked up to two employees chit chatting in the middle of the aisle to ask them where I could find what I was looking for, and one didn't even look at me, pointed to the left and said "aisle 10". Said thank you and walked away without any acknowledgement . Rude. Then at checkout, the lady with the blonde hair wasn't friendly either, saying good morning to her didn't get a response and acted like she was on some kind of a power trip. I'll be back again because its a great store, but some of the employees there need some customer service training reminders to be more friendlier. For that I am taking off two stars.

We are hardware store people. We walk around them when we visit different towns. Kelseyville Lumber was wonderful. Organized, clean, open, the floors are beautiful. Loved this store.

Called to get a current price for some 2x12 lumber. Lady said she can't give me a price because the internet is down and don't have access to prices. I guess it's too much to ask to walk over and check these days. Oh well. Another lost sale. 😕

I’m including two reviews in this post. I have great things to say about Kelseyville Lumber’s window department, but wish I could say the same for their door department.I’ve ordered many windows from Craig who runs the window department and he’s on the ball and very easy to work with. He’s been knowledgeable, helpful in suggesting window options, sizes, and placement for my remodel and makes a point to really listen and answer questions.The door department: I ordered interior and exterior doors for my house from Eric who runs the department and is also sales manager. For my first order, things went ok. But when I wanted to order exterior doors, I experienced long delays in trying to get a call or email back from him. It took him two weeks to respond to basic questions and send me estimates; and I only got a response once I’d left him more than one message after patiently waiting several days. But my bigger complaint is the quality of the custom exterior doors I bought, especially since they were not cheap. One door they delivered was put together with obvious and careless mistakes—it was so bad it wasn’t even functional. Our very skilled and experienced carpenter who tried to install the door couldn’t believe how terrible it was. The door should never have left their shop if Eric or his staff had done a quality check before they delivered it. So, because of their mistakes, our remodel was held up while his department had to re-do a whole new door. The other exterior door I ordered came with a threshold seal that didn’t seal adequately, so my carpenter and I each left Eric messages asking for the problem to be remedied. In trying to keep the noticeable and significant amount of outside air from coming in under the door, I had to put a rolled up towel at its base. It took him a while to get back to me about the issue. And when he finally showed up, my carpenter, husband, and I pointed out the visible gap across the entire bottom of the door. He was unmistakably annoyed that he needed to come deal with it (he ultimately put a metal piece under the door to help reduce the draft). His attitude with all three of us made it clear he thought we were making an issue about the door even though it was a legitimate problem. In summary, the lacking quality and customer service are the reasons we won’t be ordering more doors there.

I was wanting to get an estimate for windows. I haven't been able to get anyone to come out. I have given my information to them twice. I have called and called. Nothing no response and when I call its "ok I will have someone call you." I'm extremely tired of hearing this. I'm trying to help support the business. This has been going on. For atleast 6 months. I have 14 windows I need to replace. So if ur trying to get windows hopefully you have better luck. It is honestly sad.

Huge selection, incredible service. Matt is the most helpful person I have ever met. The store is huge! They have all kinds of things from building supplies to clothes and even a restaurant! The clothes selection is surprisingly impressive. This is the exact kind of does-it-all store that the town needs. Overall, this is an excellent business that deserves your patronage. The only downside is that the prices on specialty items can be somewhat costly, however, that is the price of convenience!

AND a great restaurant to boot . Oh yes , the prices are not only competitive , but they beat most of their competitors most of the time ... plus plenty of parking that's easily accessible .

They are the best people at Kelseyville Lumber. Always ready to help you with even the smallest task. I highly recommend them for all your Hardware, Lumber,plumbing, electrical and gardening needs. Oh and they have propane! ***Update 06/03/22*** I went there again and found what I needed but also found some beautiful plants and flowers at an amazing price.

Well organized and clean. The staff is very helpful and every couple of isle I went down- someone very politely and enthusiastically asked if I needed any help, and if I was finding everything ok. The "women's touch" is very much appreciated. Pretty and practical dish towels, attractive bathroom and kitchen wares, beautiful lighting and seasonal decor. This Lumber yard has literally everything you need. From fishing licenses, to garden, to Traeger, BBQ supplies, paint. rug shampooing rental, to windows, flooring, tools, clothes and kids toys.

My parents went in to return some clothes that did not fit my mother. The somewhat short overweight guy at the register with a beard complained to them and was rude about it. According to my mother he commented very rudely and asked why she didn’t try them on before buying if they have fitting rooms there. That is none of his business to even comment on or ask about. I was there the day that my mother made the purchase and we did not have time for her to try them on. These comments and rude behavior were unacceptable and unnecessary. We love Kelseyville lumber but disliked this person’s customer service.

I absolutely love Kelseyville Lumber. All the employees are fabulous and super attentive. I havent seen a disgruntled employee there yet. Everyone I've encountered is polite and very helpful. Several have gone above and beyond to help me find items I need for my projects. Their prices are very competitive to Home Depot. And what could be better?! They have an incredible cafe there as well!!!

Wrong day to ask me about my experience at Kelseyville Lumber. Well actually it's not much different than almost every other time I try to buy something there. The unfortunate thing is they are so close and convenient, but it's just not worth how mad or upset I am by the time I leave. The incompetence of many of the employees, and the lack of desire to help is incredible. Common items not priced and check out personnel that can't find the price. Both caused by poor inventory control. No commonsense used by checkers. I 'tried' to buy an item that had an actual tag on it, and it was marked $1.10. The girl said the total was $1.53. I questioned it and she stated, "The register says $1.53". I replied that even with tax it couldn't be that price. She stated again, "The register says $1.53. I walked out. This is only one small example of poor service by one of their employees. Don't get me started on how most of them avoid asking if you need any help or have any questions. I won't even go into why I walked out empty handed today. But it has to do with standing in a line of only 3 people for 15 minutes while the clerk tried to do a 50 cent return. I had $50 worth of plants in my cart. They're still there. I walked out.I have been a patron of Kelseyville Lumber for over 20 years. It was not always like this. I simply don't understand.

They have a little bit of everything! I haven't been here a single time and had them not have what I needed. All the employees are very kind, helpful and seem to work well together. They also have Tap to Pay terminals!!! One step closer to never needing to carry a wallet or purse! Thank you KLS!

I don't have an issue with their products. It's the front checkout folks I have issue with. Waited in a long line and listened to the checker greet everyone and be pleasant, even a child in front of me. When it was my turn the checker just looked at me and asked if that's all I was purchasing. I'm not asking her to chat with me like everyone else in the line but at least give me the courtesy of asking me how I'm doing. I'm a loyal customer to businesses that treat me right. Looks like I'm going to mendo mill for now on.

Kelseyville lumber is hit or miss with the service. At the contractors desk there some employees who seem to play favorites when the place gets busy leaving folks who may not have lived here forever to feel like the new kid in fourth grade. The guy that finally ,"helped ," me with my plumbing questions was no help at all. In fact he seemed annoyed to even have to have a dismissive interaction with me and assured me that he didn't know whom I should ask period . Not later in the afternoon or possibly another day and most certainly not at present and ,,,," Could you please let the next customer in line have his chance sir?!!"To be fair there were more days when the service was very good . The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and informative . But if you get the wrong people your out of luck.Very expensive as well. Quality merchandise abounds but, for such an economically challenged area it would seem like they might want to cary some more moderately priced lines of tools instead of just high end goods. I have not memorized the inventory so perhaps my perception was just off. It sure seems like Mendo Mill is less pricey though.I will say I really enjoy woodys dilooner. Great food!

Update 8/11/22Wanted to revise my previous review.Lisa (Head of operations) & Bruce (Window dept)bent over backwards to make things right.I would say be careful using Milgard for windows, they are really disorganized.. Thank you Kelseyville lumber..DanDONT BUY YOUR WINDOWS HERE!!! I thought I would buy local and support a local business..I got my windows..1 was on back order and 2 windows missing screens.I could of paid 1/2 and got the same drama from Home depot..Hey stuff happens, but for the money I paid I want what I paid forUPDATE 7/29Still waiting for my missing window..It keeps getting pushed out..Before you order Milgard windows make sure they are not going to have any of your windows on back order.. I totally would of used ANOTHER manufacturer had I known.Dan

It's okay, they seem to have a little better crew now. People I recognized from other stores. Everybody's friendly enough. Pretty much has everything you need. For me it's close so it's convenient. Can't beat Home Depot for prices. But it would cost too much to go there.

Good selection of hardware products. They also sell clothing, decorations, fishing gear, pet food, and plants. This only touched on the wide variety of items this store carries. Also full lumber yard on site, hence the name. There is even a full service restaurant on site.The store, while well stocked and staffed by friendly and knowledgeable people, can be pricey.

I really like Kelseyville Lumber - shop there all the time, nice selection and usually have what we need. For the most part the staff is very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, lately they have not taken much care in the way of wearing masks during this global pandemic = we don't really care about the customer. The biggest offenders are the guys in pro and in the yard. I was there very recently and there were a couple customers chatting loudly with no masks. The guy helping me had his mask on up to his nose (not covered) and then when he handed me the receipt, he took off his mask to talk to me - that makes sense (has happened a few times now...)? The guys in the yard are hit and miss. Some wear a mask, some don't. Either take the mask thing seriously or just don't do it... as of today there's 163K people who have died from this in just a short time FYI.

It's a nice store with lots of selection. While sometimes on the higher side in price they are not nearly as expensive at Mendo Mill (aka Bend over Mill). I find they are best for door and window selection and they do a fantastic job. Turnaround on special order items is reasonable and delivery fee is only $15 and usually can be delivered the next day.
