We just happen to stop by to refill my propane tank and the staff was more than accomadating. They are cash only, but they do have an ATM on site. The store and resort is well taken care of by retirees who love this lake and area. Be patient and kind. Sad I even need to mention that, but I personally watched someone give the clerks a hard time because the employees weren't moving fast enough. Needless to say, that guy was talked too. If you want to reserve a site you will need to call, that's the only way they reserve. Not a big deal. Enjoy the land!Nearby activities: A lake, hiking and off road driving.

Although in a nice location and relatively inexpensive, we would NOT recommend ever staying at this campground in it's current state. Management is unpleasant (at best) and severely behind in every mode of financial interactions & bookkeeping, dirt drive paths meandering all over the place, electrical at sites is iffy, some sites are at the extreme of unlevel, and it's just way too packed in. Maybe someday new management will remap this park, remove about 25% of this sites, lay out some decent drive paths, rework the electrical infrastructure, etc - oh, and hopefully treat customers decently would be a nice touch.

We stayed one night here in full hook-up back-in site. This is a private RV Park with a long time owner. It has about 200 spots in the popular recreation area of June Lake. This is a cash only business so bring plenty of it. Showers $1.00, laundry $2.00/machine. 30 amp back in $50.40, water-electric only site around $45. Sites are close together amongst tall pines. Easy walk, ride, drive to lake. Only one shower building was operable at the time but it was central to camp. Facility is old, and I believe the word resort is mis-applied here. Staff is generally friendly and helpful. No Wi-Fi, weak but usable cell service.Nearby activities: Fishing, hiking, jeep touring, hunting, camping.Food & drinks: June Lake community has good grocery store, and a few eating places, brewery, etc.

If your looking for a "real" camping experience this is a great place to stay. We've been camping here for the past 3 years. They have a hook-up's, store, showers, laundry, tree's, wild life, squirrel's that eat from your hand basic needs for RV/trailer camping. It is very old school as far as technology for checking in, managing sites and payment.I've never had an issue with any of the staff. They have always been helpful. They expect campers to obey the rules of quiet time and fires out a 10 pm. I appreciate the reminder, it helps us stay on schedule for activities and fishing early the next morning. I see it as just doing their job. Keep in mind they are Seniors, so grumpy or rude is just a part of life. This year we lost our dog Bailey. The entire campground was out looking for her. The staff was AMAZING. They drove around on golf carts, checked with flashlight's under cabins, got a blood hound involved. They out did themselves. Our dog was found and it was an effort from staff and campers at Pine Cliff. We can camp anywhere we choose. We will always choose Pine Cliff when camping in the Sierra's. See you next year

Cash only. Dont come here if yoy dont have cash. The reservations are quite antiquated and will be difficult but the spaces are plentiful and the overall facilities are well kept. Showers and flusing toilets are available bit make sure to bring quarters.June lake beach acceas if just a few minutes walk from the campground. June lake village is about 2 miles away along with a onsite market place. They sell local firewood.

They do not pay their employees and they discriminate non stop. They all need to retire and give the campground back to the forest service. They have done 30 years of damage to that place and they all need removed from any type of hospitality work. The owner is beyond rude, the assistant manager is a drunk, the office staff is not only rude but 110% worthless and the store clerks are the same...Stay away from this place WORKAMPERS BEWARE...YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY...SHE IS A THIEF...

Been camping here since I was a kid.Customer service has gone down hill.Workers are rude, and judgmental. They wrongfully accused our group of being loud and playing loud music at 1:30am. They evensaid the police came to our site to talk to us. I told the worker, we were sleeping at 1:30am and didn’t speak with any police. She didn’t believe us when we told her it wasn’t our group. They only believed us once they clarified with a group of “white” campers next to our site. Turns out, the worker who took the noise complaint, wrote down the wrong camp site number. Their mistake, yet they made us out to look like the bad guy.

Old school campground and a hidden gem. They say it’s been around for 55 years and runs on a US Forest Service Lease but you won’t find it on Recreation.gov. You have to call to make reservations. We stumbled on it and because it’s old school we were able to get 6 days of camping with no reservations. Now because it’s old, it’s worn. But it does provide coin laundry, coin showers, all sites have shade, reasonable space between sites, walk to the beach, crazy chipmunks, and strict quiet hours. The folks that run it are super friendly and helpful. Most of all, I really appreciate the strict campfire out and quiet hours because so many campgrounds turn into party central it’s nice to find one that isn’t.

We showed up last minute after not knowing where we were gonna stay for the night. No one bothered us. The campground was pretty empty for that time of year. (Early May) The staff was very polite the next day and did not give us a hard time at all about coming into the park after hours. There was a fellow camper there that has been going to this site for over 20 years, loves to fish and June Lake has great fishing. More so in the middle than on the sides. There was a few family of deer hanging around, that was cool. And because we came in later than normal, checkout us usually 1030, and they told us not to rush because it was a Sunday and the park wasn't busy. We enjoyed it and will be back.

Most 1 star reviews are more than likely from Karen's that expect hotel-style technology in a LEASED forest service campground. They do not own this property and have to pay for maintenance out of pocket, which is why they don't have bear boxes, or constant upgrades for facilities etc. 90% of campgrounds will ONLY have a bathroom anyway - so having multiple, as well as showers and laundry, is more than accommodating considering the entire point of camping is to get AWAY. The staff is extremely helpful and even though they were CLOSED, they still allowed me to come in and secure a spot, and even sold other customers beer/groceries during off hours. Every other campsite in June gave us the run-around besides this one. We got an awesome spot in the very back and there's absolutely no one next to us, even though every other campgrounds are completely full. Deer walk right up to you, and the overall presence of wildlife is a refreshing break compared to other cramped grounds. Staff and other seemingly long-term residents have checked on us multiple times, and warned us about the possible visit of bears and how to properly store and maintain food. Having that extra care was a nice blanket of security given that we are far away from the next camper. Even though we don't have a lake view, I will probably always come to this campground when I return to June looking to tent camp.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week there! Yes it may cost a whole dollar to shower, but the water was hot and pressure was great. Each morning people were cleaning the bathrooms and showers. The camp ground layout was great on that the owners tried to save trees and not pack the trailers or rigs in. They have rules but every other campground we have been at has rules. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, we will be going back!

Bathrooms are nasty, staff is rude and uncaring, it’s disgustingly dirty. We are forced to put up with the staff’s archaic ways and disregard because they know it’s a nice piece of property. They purposely separate family or groups to prevent “congregating.” That’s so messed up. Showers have been broken for days. I’m looking for a hotel. Stand up and speak up or this place will continue to treat campers like garbage.

I have camped at multiple campsites for most of my life and have never dealt with worse campground hosts. The speed limit is 5 mph through the campground, if you go 7 mph they will chase you down in their golf carts yelling at you. The supervisor was the most awful one to deal with, she called my boyfriend’s father a liar because the number of people increased from what he had originally put on his registration. I asked her not to call him a liar and pointed out how inappropriate that was and her response was that he was one. They were extremely rude and did their best to try and make us uncomfortable during our weekend stay. We will never stay at Pine Cliff Resort (campground) again and I hope they find better hosts with customer service skills.

The campsites are ok. A bit close together. It's a nice environment. I didn't appreciate having to put out our campfire at 10 every night, but I understand there are plenty of irresponsible people who don't tend their fires properly. Overall, not bad, but I've stayed at a few other places that I liked better, like Twin Lakes in Mammoth.

The people that managed the place is very rude. They cut the electricity service for long time. We make our reservation like 4 months in advance, and we ask to put as a group together and they puts us apart. I felt discriminate, we were trying to speak and they shut up us. And many more things. I don't recommend you this place. Search for free campground near there, and there were more nice and spacious and you can have your toy with you.

If you're looking for a five star resort, this isn't it. If you can't handle a little dirt and a few bugs...stay in a motel. If you're looking for an amazing place to camp and hang out at the lake, this is your place! Great access to June Lake, conveniently located between Mammoth and Tioga Pass. Lots of wildlife - deer, bears, bald eagles, and chipmunks. Staff is awesome and my kids LOVED the Thursday night ice cream socials.Just stayed in our own travel trailer for 4 weeks and not a single complaint. We love this place and look forward to returning for years to come.

Pine Cliff Resort was one of the highlights of our trip and lowest at same time. The beach was great , warm water and sunny day, but when we tried to leave the next morning the coach wouldn’t start- Instead of leaving at 7 am we left at 2 pmand the only way we did get to leave was because of Mike Davis - an employee of the property- he crawled under the coach and banged on the starter! Now that’s service. So much fir AAA - nearest help was AZ or Bakersfield! Thank you Mike Davis! Sir! I would stay at Pine Cliff again - only with another RV!Jim Eckel

We had a terrible experience dealing with the front office ladies! We drove our RV for almost 6 hours to get to the camp site hoping to use the site to explore the Yosemite park. But then we found out the access from Tioga entrance was still closed due to a recent storm and it remained unknown when it would be open. The woman suggested we still pay the entire 7 days of stay and she would call the owner to refund us should we find another place to stay. But hours later, when we tried to get the refund, they rudely refused to honor the refund! Camper, please be aware of their hidden cancellation policy ! Do not pay cash (they only accept cash)upfront as required unless you are certain you will stay there the entire time!

Me and my family come here every year. Staff is really friendly and helpful. The kids have their favorite rocks to climb on and they love going to the general store. June Lake is just down the way with picturesque scenery you will never forget. Every time we bring someone new, they're in awe of the beauty before them. June Lake village is also close by with its own unique charm. If you're looking for a great place to camp, be it tent, rv, or trailer, Pine Cliff Resort does not disappoint.

Have been going here for over 50 years. Love the scenery and camp spots have always been great! However, the staff are not very friendly! Use to be but not anymore. Some people should just find another line of work if they hate their jobs. Probably won’t be back but we had a good run, great memories!

My wife had been going to Pine Cliff since childhood. It has a fantastic, quiet location with walking access to June Lake. I've been coming every few years with her since the 1990's. Unfortunately, the campground has been lax about controlling bears.Though the staff are friendly and the showers generally clean, the bears are a deal breaker. The owners provide no warnings about bears and encourage the nightly visit by not providing bear lockers or proper guidance to the campers who aren't familiar with camping in bear country. Every night during our last stay, our sleep was interrupted by trespassing bears causing havoc and getting at easy food not locked away. (Our ice chest was securely stowed under a hard tonneau cover in my truck.)It is sad that this will be our last visit until things change.

We Love pine cliff, and every time we come up in our RV we stay in spot #72 it's our favorite spot. We had a deer come through our camp. Don't forget to bring cash & quarters for the showers. People complain about the staff. But we all get grumpy as we age. If I ever had a problem with anything they would handle it. It's a old-school campground with old-school effects.

I've been here many times over the years, always tent camping. It's great to have the showers and laundry facilities. I always stay in the north area near June Lake Beach Rd. A lot of the sites are on slopes, which makes them worthless for tent camping, but I've always been here when I was able to get a flat spot. The only problem is that it's very quiet--too quiet. When jerks from L.A. roll in and stay up all night partying you can forget about sleeping. I think I'll be staying at Oh Ridge in the future. You can use the showers here anyway.

This place was great in the 1960's but today needs a lot of help. First they do everything on paper, no computers. They have no idea of what is going on. They dint use computers, they only take cash, not even a check. I wonder on the accounting aspects. In the 3 hours from checkout to check in, they do no maintenance. The fire pit in my site was full. Power went out many times. It's a mess. It appears that there are a lot of back door deals with guests and sites. I will be looking for other campsites in the area.

Campers beware. Campsites are very narrow. Not recommended for RVs with slide outs. Very disappointed with our stay there. We were unable to get into the sites they provided for us and our family. When we ask for a refund they refused. They let you pay with a check or credit card for a deposit but require cash when you get there. So you cannot put a stop payment on your card or check. After our experience I heard horror stories from other people. We camped in the area very often but will never ever go back there. Plus the owner is really mean

Sadly this place is not well run. While it may be clean, orderly and look respectable, the management and staff are bumptious jerks. Make sure to read and follow EVERY sign posted, for if not you'll pay dearly with rude behavior from the staff. Maybe if I had plied their hearts with a 24 pack of Coors light they would have liked me better? Probably not. I'll be showering at the Marina from now on when I camp in the area, much nicer folks.

They allow dogs, Yeayyyy!!! Walking distance to the lake. Nice place! Clean and well organized. Campgrounds have everything you will need. Clean toilets, warm showers (take qourters) The store is well stocked. The check in is slow... but it's older people manning it. Give em a break. Camp fire out by 10pm. Overall we had a great time. They allowed us to have extra cars. Lots a dear all 0ver the place.

I camped here for 2 nights after not finding available campsites at convict lake. I was surprised to find a store up front along with clean bathrooms and showers. On my first night, several people were told to turn off their music after they were being very rude to those getting some sleep before an early day of fishing. I understand everyone will have their opinions but I will definitely be back.

This place is a real joke. Made reservations 2 months in advance and they required a bank cashiers check, no personal check or credit cards and cash only on arrival for the balance. The roads are not marked and it’s very difficult to find the assigned sites. My site required me to back my trailer between 2 trees about 10 feet apart. The hook ups are scattered all over with water in one site and electric in an adjoining site. One person got injured and we had to leave 2 days early ( and the campground is about 20% full). I requested either a refund or a credit for a future stay and was told they just CAN’T do that for us. The staff are not friendly at all! Never again!
